Nice one, Stu. Hopefully Dave will be along soon. Would think he'll need pretty much all of the dimensions, although the flat plate that bolts to the car is prob just about the same as the standard bracket- the holes will be in the same place.
-
Here you go: Valve-crankvent 7364573 £21.26 + VAT VW sell it, but only along with all the other intake gubbins- around £80 iirc.
-
Think the PCV valve was missing from most 1992-3 VRs. Mine had just a pipe when I bought it. Bought a PCV from Ford, because I didn't like the oil build up in the intake. Don't think it's anything to worry about, tbh :) Just clean it out every few weeks, or get a PCV from Ford ;)

This is the only one I could find. It's the piece above the bottom left clamp/jubilee. It basically replaces the standard rear hanger, because the rear hanger on the Magnex backbox points straight back instead of sideways, like the standard exhaust.
-
Thanks, Dave- that would be brilliant :) Anyone got a pic/dimensions for the rear bracket?
-
That's daylight robbery for a small metal bracket! Gonna take mine to the local Longlife custom exhaust centre and get a quote.
-
They were standard factory fit on all 2.0 16v Corrados. The rare ones are the 'Fire & Ice' edition 5-studs...
-
I had one in my last 2.0 16v and it made a nice difference. Replace the rocker cover gasket while you're in there ;)
-
Looks like you need to undo the alternator. Are you changing the water pump? If not, just drain the coolant from the bottom rad hose.
-
Thanks matey 8) Their customer service leaves a little to be desired! :?
-
Anyone know if the rear bracket is available separately? Have emailed both Magnex Cust Services & Technical, but no replies :? .
-
Lowest point possible. Bottom of the crack pipe or bottom rad hose.
-
Yep- take a look somewhere in the middle of my gallery thread. A shoddy cattle grid destroyed the front end of our vRS last year, causing around £3-4K worth of damage. It took flippin ages, but they paid up for the repairs + our excess. They didn't even try to get out of it. However, they didn't admit liability :? . Work that one out! Happy ending though :D Go and take some pics, put a straight piece of wood accross the top to show how much it's sunken etc with a tape measure. Go for it!

Good pic in this thread clicky

Well done, Bill! None of mine have ever failed either 8) Always a relief to get through...
-
Gotta say, it looked a lot better when they showed it on Fifth Gear...
-
15s should be absolutely fine (unless you've had a serious brake upgrade!). All Corrados came with 15s as standard anyway.
-
I changed all the slam panel/rad fixings etc - might as well if your in there anyway!
-
Hey J! Good work with the crossmember- looking real minty :D
-
You don't need to support the engine. You just undo the two big 17mm outer bolts on each side. Re: breaker bar, took well over an hour to get mine undone even with the bar + my next door neighbour helping! I'd even given them a good WD40 soak the night before...
-
It's pretty easy. Bumper/lights/slam panel off. Worst bit is undoing the 4 17mm bumper bolts- hope you've got a breaker bar!
-
Looks like it's defo from the front somewhere. Impossible to tell from the pics exactly where though. I would guess the elbow, or maybe the plastic part of the rad it attaches to. Quite easy to split both bits if you tighten the elbow too much. Other than that it could be any of the hoses. Is the top rad hose in good nick? Is it seated correctly onto the elbow? Maybe worth getting a fresh spring clip from VW. Think you need to wipe everything clean, so there's no coolant/residue left anywhere, and leave it to idle for a good while. Check everywhere with a fine toothed comb when it starts getting up to temp, fans kick in etc. Another idea- again, clean everything, then take out for a quick drive. If it's leaked again, check out the spray pattern of the coolant- hopefully you'll be able to see where it's come from.

Sounds good Chris! What sort of power would you be expecting with the charger?
-
A gallon of what?! Whatever floats ya boat, mate
