This is all a bit worrying, and just typical of the current persecution of motorists. TBH, I can't see it happening as it's just plain wrong on so many levels. If it did go ahead, we'd all be done for! I use my VR as a daily, to commute to and from work, and I'm sure many other people do too. Here's the petition.

For the life of me, I don't understand it! Yeh, it didn't sell very well, but was always held in very high regard by the motoring press, and still is today. It was quite innovative for the time and is now considered a modern classic and cult car. However, most dealerships don't seem to know anything about it, and as Yan says, it seems like they would rather it was never invented :( . VW should be proud of the Corrado!

Capital Seating got back to me very quickly- they have 3 different types of upper bolster- two of which look like they'd fit with a little trimming. They're around £50 each.

TBH Andy, think colour-coding only works on darker cars (IMHO). On lighter cars, reckon you need a bit of black on the grille, rear number plate panel etc to break up the colour...

Monkey-Boy, as Dave says, use the search! :roll: Wings, bonnet,, bumpers, interior etc changed around 1992 with K plates.

Mine's like this too! Thought it was engine mounts, so changed those, but still the same. As you say, happens mostly when changing up and down between 1st and second and also between 2nd and 3rd, but it's not so bad. I get a 'thunk' when I lift off the clutch. It's really irritating and takes the fun out of driving. It's fine if I change gear slowly/carefully.

Looks like you're getting there... then again, do you ever really 'get there' with a Rado? :? If you can't find the Redline gear oil, Castrol SMX-S is excellent + it's cheaper, + you can get it from Halfords. Done two oil changes with this (16v & current VR) and it's superb.

Recently bought some BBS RX2s. They're in good nick with no curbing, however, as usual, the laquer on the polished lips has gone a little funny in places and needs attention. What's the best way of sorting this? Will I need to take the rims apart, rub down and re-polish the lips? What's the best laquer to use? Also, where do I get a key to undo the bolts? Any advice would be much appreciated! Cheers :)

Well, not sure I really want to help now, but... maybe it could be the oil cooler? I'll have a look at mine if I get a mo tomorrow.

It'll be worth it once it's all back together. Nasty job though- well done! Gonna get the garage to do my rear beam bushes. Wouldn't mind getting the beam shot blasted and powder coated too, as it's coming off. Will have to speak to them. Any pics of the progress?
