  1. Blimey, haven't been on the Forum for a few hours, and this is what happens to my thread  Who let these two clowns onto the Forum? In all seriousness though, some good ideas there, chaps
  2. Looks nice- superb colour. Gonna drop it?
  3. Yeh, not looking forward to keeping the wheels clean :( Think they're worth the bother though ;) Thanks for the tip- yeh, they are on glossy paper. I'll get them scanned in asap :)
  4. Good spot! The rears are 205 55 and the fronts are the correct 205 45. Couldn't afford 4 new tyres at the mo, so will have to make do with those for now :? They are the correct size for the vRS though, which could do with some new rubber in the next few months, so it should all work out OK!
  5. Looks very nice- blackberry is such a good colour! 8)
  6. Sounds good. Think the 3-bar grille and new tails/side indicators are essential. It's those things that date the C in a bad way.
  7. Thanks, Charlie 8) Weird, cos it doesn't seem real until you have the scan done- you half expect nothing to be there! Very strange. It's your turn now  Re: wheel nuts- definately worth paying a bit more for the peace of mind! Don't ever want that happening again!
  8. Get sorted, eh Dave?! I'm in tears at the thought of it....
  9. Hi mate, In the future, I'm just gonna make sure I don't tighten the locking nuts too much + copper grease them too. The guy at the garage spent ages hammering on different sized sockets, and tried to airgun them off. Eventually worked, but took a while. Yeh, can't go wrong with BBS imho. Perfect oem+ wheels. I certainly won't be selling the C- even though this is our second nipper, as we've got an Octy vRS etsate for the holidays, family trips and general donkey work  . Trying my best to look after her- still a few minor things to be sorted. Looking at the receipts, seems like you looked after her really well 8) Did she win a prize a few years back? There's a GTI Inters plaque mounted in front of the gearstick.
  10. Looking good 8) Any cosmetic plans? I know they'll be further down the line, but it's nice to think about ;)
  11. Looks very nice. Any more pics?
  12. Nice to see you've returned to the fold at long last! Lovely looking VR there- perfectly modded too, so you don't have to do too much ;) Always liked that colour- perfect with the black leather 8)
  13. Took a quick snap of the C with it's new rims on. I'll get some proper pics soon 8) Oh yeh, and here's also a pic of my other new (albeit much more important :D ) acquisition- pic taken by a midwife on Friday :D
  14. There are under-dash wiring pics up already. What more do you want!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
  15. If he has, he needs to get rid ASAP!!!! They are truly awful. The guy today said he'd seen soooo many of these fail. It's just plain bad design and use of poor materials. The metal is like cheese. Should've taken a pic of the actual key- now that was something else! The tyre guy binned it though, before I could nab it.
  16. Jim, dunno why, but that sounded very camp! Hairdresser talk! Cut 'n' blow dry? Well, I got my nightmare locking wheel nuts removed by a local tyre place. Fitted my new rims, with nice new rubber on the front (Toyo Proxes T1-S).
  17. Had to take the car to a local tyre place in the end :? Took the guy about 40 minutes to get the two rear bolts out. A lot of hammering, swearing etc did the trick  Look away now if you're easily disturbed  DSC00415.JPG[/attachment:1lf4j8n9]
  18. I've got the Powerchips one. I've got an early VR6 unsoldered chip, so it was just a 5 min job to swap.
  19. Brilliant stuff- you must be sooooo chuffed 8) So, did it drive well? Manage to keep up with big bro OK. The official 0-60mph time for the 1.816v is actually quicker than the standard G60 IIRC, due to the gearing! Did you spot anything else on the way home that needs doing?
  20. Cheers Michael. Just called my local motor factor and they've got some- not McGuard, but very good. The guy seemed to know his stuff- gave me some good advice on getting the trilocks out with a screw driver ;)
  21. Looks fantastic, mate. What a transformation! Good work. Just saw your other thread about 18s. IMHO 18s just look wrong on a C - just too big :?
