  2. Nice! Congrats mate!! :D Mine passed on Tuesday fine, will post the emissions results up too, as I was only talking about how good they were to a mate 2hrs ago! :)
  3. Indeed!! Spotted  3  today!! 1) Blue? rado in the traffic going into Marlborough from Swindon way on the A346 (11.20am). Gave a thumbs up but was in works Caddy! 2) Red rado with early grill leaving PC World in Chippenham around 4pm (again, in works van, thumbs up!!) 3) Silver rado leaving Alvington towards Lydney on the A48 around 5.40pm! (AGAIN, in works van :mad2: )
  4. Had something similar years back in my old 16v - came back to it parked in the work car park to find that someone had thoughtfully stuffed some sandwich and crisp packaging into my front grille. People are so considerate sometimes. W*nkers, why don't they just do one.
  5. yeah that's what I'm on about! The pads just seem very rigid and hard to move with them fitted, can they be removed?? Yeh u don't HAVE to have em mate. But as titled, they're there to prevent any 'squealing' when u slam ur foot down on that middle pedal! :D
  6. Unless ur talkin' about anti-squeal shims? They're fabricated to fit into the 'grooves' on the caliper...?
  7. Saw a black? 'rado coming upto the roundabout after the police station in Melksham, along the A350. Didn't spot it til last minute, managed to get an awkward thumbs up but don't think u noticed me :(
  8. Went to 2 job interviews today, and after the minor overhaul of wishbones/drop links etc gave the old boy a good thrash! Absolutely loved it :D Plus a bird poo'd on it so I gave it a wash!
  9. Probably best to replace them then mate! I have got caps now, but won't be at the location where I re-furbed them til next week! Upto u mate! :salute:
  10. I have this photo in my 'Cool Corrados' folder :) Nice! Cheers man :D
  11. Probably my fave (atm) DSC01704.JPG[/attachment:1wf54t3o] EDIT: What size do u guys compress your pix to, to get them to appear full size on a post without having to click on them like mine?
  12. Id use coolant and hydraulic fluid from V-Dub mate, only need one bottle of the hydraulic fluid
  13. Nothing major/serious then
  14. I read somewhere that lithium based grease degrades rubber, silicone based is best! I used red rubber grease on mine :)
  15. Thanks mate, I'm tempted just to get a new set for peace of mind. I'll let you know if I change my mind though :salute: U mean ur gonna change all of the rubbers? Fair enough, I thought u wanted just one cap!
  16. Buy a VR6, a G60 AND rebuild urs?
  17. U could ask Big Redd for just the one cap mate, that's where I got my complete set of guide bushes from when I re-furbed my 288's! But try VW 1st I guess... Or if u wait a bit longer til I've cleaned all my mess up from re-furbing, I may have a spare u could have...
  18. Lol fair enough, on my copy of Etka they come out at £45 :confused4:
  19. Na that cant be right! the last time we bought some which was only last year they were around £20 each side :? but they could have gone up considerably since. Going to the dealers today so i'll ask if i remember. Just goin through Etka and what I got em for through TPS mate :salute:
  20. I couldn't agree more - I used GSF bearings last April/May and had one howling on me 2 months ago!! So changed for genuine items instead. Agree with the Irwin bolt removers too :notworthy: Only thing I wouldn't agree with is the price of GSF bearings being 'not that much different' to genuine prices. GSF are around £6-7 for one side, VW charge in excess of £45 per side!! Try and get a TPS account or a mate who has and u'll get them for the £17 mark tho! :D
  21. Cheers buddy, how's the move coming along? Haha yes, the guys up DG are good. I was at the MOT station today thinking "don't touch my car, u don't know what ur doing!"
  22. Kris did u modify the video before u uploaded it to youtube? Mine's gonna take a lifetime to upload, trying to find a free video converter to make the file a bit smaller...
  23. Lee, that is a gem. I dread to think how much it'll go for when it comes to it!!
