  1. Does that mean I could replace the spoiler "little black box" on my VR with 93 16v one and have it raise at 45mph ? Possibly! When I got mine, it didn't raise automatically coz the spoiler module was kaput, I bought one from someone on here and mine goes up @ 45mph...
  2. Mine's a late VR and it comes up at 45mph, I can't lower it manually if the cars going above this speed, I guess it overides the manual switch. The switch in mine (not sure whether its the same as earlys) is right of the steering wheel, underside of the dash, towards where the fuse box is!
  3. Any idea when it will be and how long the endurance is? I have Forza, but haven't played it too much (played it till I got a 'rado and spec'd it up enormously lol)
  4. Ta mate. I have indeed, I've gone for Hammerite Smooth. Did a bit of research about it too, as I wasn't sure about the temperature tolerances of the paint. A lot of people have used it and had no problems so that's what I went for. £6-7 from Wilko's or Halfords for a 250ml pot, which is more than enough! :thumb right:
  5. Ta mate, gonna get it from VW when I get shed loads of other bits. I assume the O-ring comes with the cap and is not needed seperately?
  6. Ok gonna get round to buying me one of these, but from looking at ETKA they haven't made a revision on the item (Locking Cover - 1H0 121 321 C) Do they come with the O-ring or should I buy it seperately?
  7. Yep, at least 2, didn't look too closely it was late.
  8. I can't see clearly...? Is that a zip-tie?
  9. Yeh I think there's 2 types of rear badges for the mk2, coz I bought one from a breakers and it fits fine...
  10. Looks well tidy from here mate! :D Understand why u'd go for a matt paint job, but is there anything wrong with the paint at present? Looks pretty tidy to me...? Maybe u should wait until u actually get a ding then consider it?
  11. Im getting the hard brake lines done, the 288 fronts and mk4 rears fitted, along with new discs, pads, and rear bearings, goodridge hoses, completely bled afterwards, new handbrake cables and associated clips. (That's the brake overhaul, lol) Also having new wishbones put on, with the R32 bushes. New ball joints, ARB links, and a new gasket for the sump (they'll be taking the sump off for the wishbone removal, and it's due an oil change and could also benefit from a new gasket  ) Lookin' forward to being able to brake afterwards with confidence
  12. Decided to go with red  for the calipers now!! In the process of painting them atm. Took a pic today so I could photoshop what they may look like from the side. Haven't got round to it yet! On a major positive note he's booked in to DG for the 10th of May! DSC00133.JPG[/attachment:32jyvqii]
  13. Nice job Oz!! How much did they cost to get done, out of curiosity?
  14. Was playing CoD last nite with some mates in a bit of 'free-for-all', and noticed the name coming up when they died or killed someone etc, was "corradoxvr6" so I sent them a msg sayin' I had one too, asked about whether they were on the forum, and the reply was "nah aint had a lot to do with the forum" so I guess they ain't on here... I guess this could be classed as a 'Corrado spot'
  15. Classic? green VR6 K*** PDN going along the A350 towards Crockerton and Shearwater in Wiltshire, looked nice and low! Unfortunately, again, was in the mrs' 206!
  16. I think so, not sure mate. I know the manual says what fuses are what. On my mk3 it shared the fuse with an interior light i think...
  17. Have u tried opening the door when the alarm is activated but the pins haven't gone down? The alarm should go off, and u should be able to open the door. (press green button to de-activate alarm when it's going off) Definately means the alarm is working. There may be something wrong with the pump then, and it's not getting enough air through the system or something. Check the fuse anyway to be safe, as this is exactly what happened on my Golf, was gonna buy a new pump and checked the fuse which was the problem! Sounds unlikely, I think there is something wrong with the pneumatic pumping system
  18. I had a similar system to that, sounds like the Toad a101. The black button always used to 'mute' the beeping if u pressed it before the green one. They automatically lock the car if u unlock it and don't open the door, is this what's happening? When u press the button, does the beeping sound and the alarm activate? If the door pins aren't going down but the alarm is activating, it could be something to do with the central locking pump (located in the boot), and possibly the fuse...?
  19. I did that to myself a few times on my mk3, if the engine is running then yes it is live, because distributor/coilpack is sending a spark down the lead? I think...
  20. Yeh completely agree, but I would never drive something badged as something it's not!
  21. The worst thing is people are ACTUALLY bidding on it :cuckoo:
  22. Saw a G reg G60 possibly, along the road that's by the Virgin Mobile and Vodafone offices in Trowbridge. Unfortunately was in the birds 206 :(
  23. Have u tried using the 'multicar' options on some insurance companies? Give Admiral a quick go, see if u get any good results. (don't use a comparison site, use their site)
