  1. ha ha every day is a school day eh rob ;) lol
  2. ooo thats interesting, will check that out thanks m8
  3. you will love the intermittent when you next use it lol
  4. yep thats the one! i love the programmable intermittent feature! never use wipers in any other setting & just change the time required as per the rain speed unfortunately early models, like my valver, do not have it :( the hidden MFA menus is a good one too, though i could never really figure what they were telling me as i didnt have a print out of what they show lol as for the wire, err im not sure sorry - i just recall the alarm fitter telling me about it when he installed the alarm i put on the valver the 1st time i owned it (which ive riped out now i own it again lol)
  5. lol it is called 'full closure' feature m8 when alarm fitters do an install they can hook up a wire so as it closes everything on the remote - my factory conlog alarm does it on the VR the corrado was fairly loaded for the day & if the purse holders at VW hadnt got their hands on it it would have been even more so - FYI the VSR inlet manifolds that float around were originally intended as a stock item plus one of the 1st cars, i believe, to have a movable rear wing function to reduce drag at higher speeds did you know you have programmable intermittent wipers? ;)
  6. hi m8 drop vag-hag a PM - im sure he has upgraded his gb internals to cope with his VRT output my VR is NA, slightly modded to 210 horses - i put HiSpec 4 pots on mine rather than 288's as once you allow for the 288's to be refurb'd etc the cost was fairly close
  7. it doesnt look like a daves16v one as they dont have any blue parts i'd agree it has been changed though as you can see the cut away bit i mentioned
  8. thats what i mean m8 - if it has a short shifter fitted it will have had some of the metal surround removed you have to carve a small chunk out to fit one of daves shifters, i know as i have done it myself if it is uncut then id say it doesnt have one have a check in the wiki section here http://the-corrado.net/forumdisplay.php?42-Wiki-amp-Knowledge-Base
  9. i see you should be able to tell if it has a kit fitted by lifting the gear selector surround & checking if any metal has been cut away at the front part (closest to dash) not sure on a how to - have you checked the wiki on here?
  10. with my VR i often would miss 3rd when changing up from 2nd when getting a boot on - until i fitted a daves16v short shifter, not had a missed gear since
  11. morning late models have different wings to early models the late model has a wider track & the wings were flared more to accommodate such
  12. can anyone tell me what size the nut is that holds the oil cooler on pls? one place is saying 24mm but another says 27mm - both of which are bigger than those in my socket set so will need to buy one for this job
  13. did another test on the VR on saturday took her out for a run, all seemed to be well. let her warm up further on the drive when i got back & am pleased to report my fans kicked in at stage 1 as you would expect job done :D
  14. in demand items these!! lol out of interest does anyone know if an early set of audioscapes can be modded to fit late models? i am hoping they secure the same & just need the hole cutting for the window switch
  15. ha ha ha brilliant!! glad you got it sorted :)
  16. yesterday afternoon i replaced the rad temp sender on the VR to try to fix my fans coming on at ignition it fixed that but then when tested fans didnt seem to come on at stage 1 point will test in coming days
  17. FYI you can get rechargeable dehumidifiers cheap on ebay - think i paid less than a tenna for 2 ;)
  18. oh, errr, i would have thought the blower is the same though ive found my guide with pics for this job but it is too large a file to attach whats your email address & i will send it over
  19. is the blower motor still in the housing which attaches to the air feed trunking? the 2nd pic you posted looks odd
  20. lol it is definitely there ive changed 3 of them to date
  21. this shows the tab jobbie http://wiki.the-corrado.net/180px_fuse4.jpg
  22. it wont twist until you press the tab to release the clip at the back dont force it as if it isnt budging then it isnt unclipped - it should come out easily once unclipped
  23. thanks rob will do some testing & may replace them all like you say
