  1. blimey - i thought they had stopped selling them / trading careful with it Ron - they used to only be 2 relay versions, as such if the one which works the normal dipped beam fails you will not have any lights except full beam (which obviously you cant really drive with) rather than a 3 relay version, such as the KUR2Y ones, which allow side lights to still work if the dipped beam relay fails
  2. oooo ive just seen they are doing 'technician training' days to teach how to best use their products as they are only 5 mins down the road from me i might look into this
  3. hi graham a local interior specialist for the re-stitching & gash repair i would say as for the cracks & colour etc, take a look at Glyptone (liquid leather) https://www.liquidleather.com/?gclid=CNuX5OLE7dUCFcO4GwodTOYHfQ they do the cleaner, conditioner & dye i did a review on my build thread of a steering wheel refurb & it came out superb.... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44751-g0ldf1ng3r-s-VR6-amp-1-8-16V/page17&highlight=g0ldf1ng3r i will be doing my seats in the coming weeks when i take them out to do the matrix if you have drivers side bolster sag, like many, drop lilfuzzer a PM & he will put you in a queue for some good replacements he saved some for me upon request & they are sat ready to be installed when i do the seats
  4. i see - hopefully he will pop up soon i think he was at the ring last week
  5. i understand your point fender but i would say it is the stat not the gauges as my VR reading changed when the stat did, the instrument cluster is the original IIRC it was Kev Bacon on here that told me that part about VW engineering the stats to sit at 90 to stop their customers worrying either way, id say nothing is wrong graham
  6. i would say it is normal graham in fact thinking about it my valver has an old stat as that is normally around the 70-80 mark the VR definitely has a 'new' stat & it reads higher your oil temp sounds pretty spot on & a rule of thumb Vince at stealth told me was that water temp is normally about 10 degrees lower than oil temp as such, with your oil at 104, the more true water temp would be around 94 - which is perfectly normal & ok FYI vince also took a digital reading of my VR's oil temp sender, as i was getting some whacky oil readings not long after the stealth work, & the infra red jobbie showed consistently 6 degrees lower than the reading on the dash with your fans also kicking in for a short time after a drive all sounds peachy m8 :D
  7. hi chris drop VAG-hag a PM & check who he uses for his VRT ;)
  8. do you know if you had the thermostat changed? if not then it is likely it is an old one which gives a more 'true' reading - rather than a new one that VW engineered to sit around 90 constantly the same used to happen on my VR prior to head work & a change of cooling system including stat, the new stat sits around 90 & then rises a7 drops as & when
  9. i was not having a moan about the price, my apologies anna if it came across that way
  10. this is great news but holy hell of a cow - £125 per side!! £250 for a couple of strips of plastic sounds skyscraper :(
  11. my VR had a very heavy throttle but i managed to get a new VW replacement & the difference was huge, it was much much lighter the valver throttle is currently heavy so may look to change that too if i can

  13. superb news - thank you for persisting with this Anna
  14. ford sell the PCV valve on its own, which was the part number i had posted for you VW sell the PCV attached to a chunk of pipe work, go to your local dealer & they can check if the pipe you need is part of their kit
  15. thanks for the update, fingers crossed for you
  16. worth mentioning that the Longlife has a lifetime warranty that goes with the exhaust itself rather than just to the original purchaser
  17. no problem at all m8 it was £400 in total but that was in Feb 2015 more info, pics & 2 videos here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44751-g0ldf1ng3r-s-VR6-amp-1-8-16V/page7&highlight=g0ldf1ng3r i really need to do a new video to capture the burbles i can get when slowing & downshiftingm they are very addictive lol FYI it took them over 7 hours to fabricate it, any other questions let me know :)
  18. give Longlife a call - i love the system they custom fabricated on my VR :D good price too, at the time, for a 2.5" SS with hiflow cat from the bottom of downpipe back there are pics & videos on my build thread if you want to see & hear
  19. excellent thank you & very much appreciated
  20. hi Dave sorry i didnt see your post yesterday - did you put it on FB as well as ive posted the info to someone there this morning the info was on my build thread, copy here for you "looking at the ford invoice it shows 7364573 & was £32.50+vat" that price was from 2009
  21. about 3 hours according to a route map, so yes quite a bit shorter than yourself do you mind divulging what the repair costs were for the wings pls?
  22. thanks for this - although they are a long way away i may give them a call about the VR annoyingly they local, old friend person i spoke to hasnt replied to any txts in the past month...grrr
  23. finding them is an issue, as in finding a replacement VW discontinued them & Heritage dont have them ive seen somewhere in the US advertising them but no idea on their fitment or quality - http://www.vintagerubber.com/CorradoRearHatchGlassSeal.aspx AFIK the rear screen rubber is not bonded to the glass, which the rear quarter window rubbers are, & from what ive researched it depends on the skill of the person you use to remove/refit glass as to it they can remove the window & rubber such that it can be reused Pls do let me know your findings as i am preparing for paint on my VR
  24. morning on the VR i run a VT mount on the front engine mount, not sure which one though but think not the race version i put OE mounts on the rear engine mounts & both g/b mounts as IIRC VT's can make it too stiff & cause cabin noise (im pretty sure i read that info on here at some point but was a long time ago) AFIK the only R32 bushes recommended on here are for the front wishbone bushes, other running gear bushes are better on OE
  25. this has always been my point with electric cars plus where are they going to get all the electricity needed to charge these cars - at present, from fecking fossil fuels which really defeats the objective it is all a con & cleaner, greener & even zero point energies have been suppressed by governments & the elite for decades you only have to look to Tesla, no not the jumped up car manf, but the man himself who was 'surprisingly' killed whilst developing free wireless energy around 100 years ago which, if you are unaware, a US school kid has managed to prove zero point energy works - http://www.wakingtimes.com/2016/05/18/13-year-old-invents-tesla-inspired-free-energy-device-for-under-15/
