  1. cressa - was that the guide on how ti take the switch apart & then reassemble? if it was i have a copy which i can email out if that would help the OP :)
  2. tidy - i wasnt sure if i had already sent it you lol the air flow is basically a T section in the middle & 2 arms going to each side - all will become clear one you start there are pictures & description from when i did the valver's on my build thread too if you want to see rado's can seem that way m8 but i always tell myself i save many £'s a year on not having a monthly payment for a 'new' car & new cars are more of a pain when they break, which is more often than we think, cause they are so complex
  3. thanks fender i too really did dread the job but thanks to the guide & lots of envelopes & labeling it really wasnt too tough at all - a few scraped knuckles at the worst i am wondering / hoping i can re-felt the air box without physically removing it
  4. tidy thanks EJ :) might be worth leaving as Vince has setup for a while, he does know his apples ;) lol
  5. nice pics & glad it is running well - i do love your wheels! lol fingers crossed about the piston ring i see you have the devils own kit in - any verdict on it & how it is performing? am i right it basically helps run more power but with lower oil temps? it looks tidy in the boot anyhoo :) on a slight tangent - is your the place your dad works at mega money for body & restorations? i know they work with porker's etc & the gallery on the site looks tidy, do they offer any guarantee's on the paint work? also, have they any experience with plastic welding i need to start looking into places for the VR but i have been burnt by body shops previously - as my poor VR bonnet displays currently :(
  6. agree the misting shouldnt be happening & is normally caused by matrix as for the poor air glow on the LHS it could be that the ducting behind the dash has become disconnected or loose. it only takes a join to be slightly out to loose lots of air flow if you have changed the blower motor itself the air flow should be good unless there are gaps in the ducting IIRC you can get to the LHS section & where it joins the centre T part by removing the under tray & glove box if you want a guide with lots of pictures on how to change the matrix by dash removal drop me a PM with your email address. it is a fairly simple but tricky ish job also, could be worth preparing yourself to have to reline the air box which controls the air direction. i did not re-felt the one in my valver when i put a new matrix in last year & now am looking at pulling the dash out again to do so as i only get luke warm air when on hot as the air box is not cutting out the cold feed
  7. i have been thinking of CF wings & bonnet in place of painting them when the VR has a full respray but dont know if it would leave me many £'s for the rest of the car
  8. in case new clocks are requried - FYI on the corrado chat page on facebook someone is giving away 2 sets of clocks for free i did put a post saying there was someone on this forum looking for a set
  9. i have seen something advertised on TV similar to what you have easypops - cant recall the name though am sure they are designed to be a cheap, easy to hide vehicle tracker.....will have a look...
  10. check the VR documents - insurer stated as Kinetic guessing they are ok
  11. have a look in the group buy section for the headlight switches superb new ones are available - i have used mine for over a year now :)
  12. winner winner chicken dinner enjoy MIVW & have one (or ten) for me ;)
  13. welcome back :) quite a lot going on here, enjoy the views until you can join the owner action ;)
  14. hopefully he will m8! i know i would like to stamp on his bollocks if i ever saw him!! i think you are around the right mark when considering all your charger has BUT it may mean you have to hang on to it longer to find the right buyer suck it & see so to speak if you are not in a hurry
  15. regrettably, due to other circumstances, at the time it wasnt feasible for us to keep the storm & i foolishly told the gf to accept the offer as, again at that moment in time, she wanted it gone due to some idiot crashing into her & a looming possibility of not being able to insure it again yes, it was the storm that was knocked & the repair was ok but not amazing. FYI anyone going to see it, check out the passenger wing ;) i thought i was going the right thing by telling her to let him have it. in retrospect we both wish we had told him to go run off a pier & then sold it to the guy on standby from solihull you live & learn i guess but to then see it advertised with a £5K hike just makes it a whole lot more sour!!! oh & i will mention that he also moaned about a suspected head gasket & i doubt he has done anything about that as well as the chains - though i am positive it was perfectly fine
  16. thread & car revival, nice!
  17. indeed they are Joe the full story is a shocker!! we would not be bothered if he hadnt made such a fuss & lied so badly about 'always wanted a storm....never going to sell it...plans to restore & take to shows....promise to give 1st option...lie fricking lie' final point being that the advert he has done makes no mention of if he has done the chains - which he used as a main point to drive his winning ebay bid down to get it cheaper
  18. joe my gf was & is still fuming!! plethora of lies by the trader when came to buy. bartered on the winning ebay price. moaned like a drain about chains not done & plenty of other things. agreed to give gf 1st option to buy back FULL OF FRICKING COW BACK END OUTPUT!!!! then trying to make a hell of a load of cream from it
  19. indeed they will sean!! the storm on the same site as the blue M reg VR shown above was purchased by the trader for under £4K & he is trying to sell it for £9k with barely doing anything to it however - it is about time a decent 'owner' got a good price for a cracking car rather than these CNUT traders getting all the cream - good luck with the sale
  20. excellent to see this is still on this forum :) my VR was at stealth when this was being turbo'd & i loved watching it progress i wanted this one for myself too lol
  21. welcome - nice to see another one due for some TLC :)
  22. ha ha ha quote of the day that is Dox!!!!! PMSL
  23. ahhh i see - rather different to the VW festivals over here then the excuse you mention is pretty damn good indeed! good point about the heat & dog too - prolly not a good idea & i was already concerned about the journey with the mutt did you say it was only 20 odd mins drive from the Dam? i may look into getting the apartment we have stayed in the last 2 times & then just head to MIVW from there that said i would be worried parking the VR in the lights lol
  24. EJ - how does the MIVW work? having looked at the website, which is very basic, it is hard to tell. is it a festival with a camp site or do you have to book a hotel? (as the site implies) i understand it is held at an airfield but not really sure about much else
