  1. Sorry no pics to hand but something like this, I'm sure people will add bits incase I forget anything. Bumper- 4 17mm bolts, 2 each side underneath the front running back along the chassis legs. Leave the small bolt in place, its important to stay there. Undo the screws to the flat panels underneath in the corners that go to the arch liners if you have them. Undo the connectors to the fogs and indicators as you gently slide the bumper out along the bumper irons. Prob a two person job to lift the bumper out and away from the car. Slam Panel- 14 small bolts. I think two under the front of the headlights, one at the outside edge each side, one at the back of the panel next to the headlight each side and a couple on the front face of the panel including down the very bottom in the middle. Disconnect the rad lugs on top of the panel, undo and pull out the bonnet pull. Undo any alarm sensor if there is one. That should be about it but I have prob missed something, good luck mate.
  2. Thanks for all the good feedback guys. I love the new interior, the seats are very comfy. The doorcards also are more in keeping with how I want the car to look, getting to an OEM+ look
  3. You need to give people more info. Early or late indicators? What sunroof parts do you need?
  4. Bugger bugger bugger! I've just ordered the Febi ones. Edit: I've just tried to cancel the order. I'll check with them on monday. If I don't get charged off them, I'll have these if you can post out on monday please.
  5. Hi guys, Been a bit quiet lately here because I've organised and waited for a sample to be shipped over to me. Just checked the TNT tracking number and as of 5.52am today, its in Exeter Airport:cool:. Hopefully mon or tues it can be with me. I will have a play with it and take pics for you. I'll then place the main order. They have told me it would take less than the 15 days they originally quoted me. Delivery seems to be sharpish as well judging by the sample item getting here. Keep putting your names down if interested in having one :thumbleft:
  6. It would take me about 30-40 years to do 80k miles in my Corrado!!! Apart from the lastability of the Febi items, what is the quality like?
  7. Cheers Dave, Are these the right ones then? I like the idea of these rather than the Powerflex sort of thing. Cheers for the tips Aide, have to get brutal on it then! http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=605
  8. Hi guys, I'm going to drop the rear beam where it attaches to the U shape bracket fixed to the underside of the car. I need to change over one of the U brackets due to the fixing point for the brake regulator being broken off. So I thought while its off, why not change the rear beam bushes at the same time. Is this a worthwhile exercise? Will I see much improvement from now? If it is a good job to change, where sells them for sensible money? TPS quoted £37+vat for each one. Fingers crossed I can beat that. Cheers everyone.
  9. Hey Alex, You need to be asking on the Golf forums, people on here are looking for the OBD2 looms, not selling them. I found mine on a local forum from a guy breaking a late Golf VR6. Got everything I needed from the one vehicle. Get hunting mate and good luck with it.
  10. You should see some of the crap that drives around here, that looks like its stickered up to keep the panels in place :gag:
  11. My parcel arrived today mate, thank you very much. The wipers are in great nick. Cheers buddy.
  12. You could've outbid me! I'm just a little bit jealous of your power output there, so you're doing better than I am and look at all those toys you've got fitted. Come to think of it, I'm very jealous :notworthy: ---------- Post added at 12:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:38 PM ---------- Had the Lupo wipers delivered today, many thanks to Tim for those. Great condition also. ---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:50 PM ---------- Wow the car needs a big wash badly!
  13. New interior time guys :multi: I've had the Audi S3 Recaro's in the car since before I bought it, all very nice and everything like that. But for me, I wanted to get back to how the car would've felt like from new. My intention was to find just the front seats to replace. When I found this full interior on ebay, I knew I had to get it. I had been told it was originally from a low mileage Storm, there's not too much to say that isn't the case. Again I wanted to change just the fronts, also checked the doorcards and found the new ones to be better than mine. My ones seem to have been made from a vinyl to look like leather where the new ones have the leather panels in them. Pleased with the change over. Once I changed those I thought I should change the rear seats just to have everything from the one car and plus it all matches perfectly then. Not a thing wrong with my old rear seats and they could be on their way to a new home very soon :thumbleft:. A few pics and nothing new has been cleaned yet, just as I bought it. Cleaning will take place soon.
  14. Of course its worth it, it will be your own hard work, to enjoy learning and doing it plus enjoy all the plaudits once done. Happy times, have fun mate. Looks like the handbrake is a bit high though.
  15. Think it was two I was missing. Cool, I saw those pics before, its hard to tell the shade though. Any chance of a new pic, one resting in place in the car with the plastic trims in the pic also? Sorry to be a pain!
  16. That was cut with a small grinder with a very slim metal cutting blade. You will prob go through a couple or few blades at under a pound each. You have greater control of the cut with the grinder. If you use a jigsaw, it'll be a nightmare juddering up and down against the panel. The contours and angles will be a bit difficult with a jigsaw, not impossible but not a neat job. Lovely job on the posting mate. Any luck with the plastic screw on clips? Look forward to seeing a pic or two of the shelf supports if thats possible.
  17. Hi Tim, If it helps you with Rob's cutting, here's a pic of the pass rear arch I cut off and posted to a guy on the forum. I just cut the whole thing off so he had lots to trim from. Packed it with wood around all the fragile ends, bubble wrapped and taped thick cardboard over all of it. Sent it via the Royal Mail, so courior would be cheaper. Cost me £14 to send.
  18. Thanks for the support guys, it is a bit scary considering I've never even thought of doing anything like this before.
  19. Yeah go on, might as well send the wipers etc now as I don't know exactly what else I'll have off you. Cheers.
  20. I knew this thread would make me feel down :brickwall: Some very impressive figures guys.
  21. They would've been perfect but for not quite colour matching. I'm like you about the music, keep the speakers hidden away. Would it be a pain to get a sharp pic of one of the supports inside the car next to a C pillar trim to get an idea of colour? What way are you thinking they won't match? Got any of the plastic screw in caps that hold the rear doorcards back to the side of the car where rear seat goes? Don't think I'm chasing, merely interested when you're planning on posting for me to look out for it arriving. Cheers for all your help bud. ---------- Post added at 11:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:02 PM ---------- Not got any time or materials to be doing my own trimming at the moment fella. I can't remember how the standard ones are finished now, only working by them today! ---------- Post added 12th July 2011 at 12:01 AM ---------- Previous post was 11th July 2011 at 11:23 PM ---------- Just had another read through the thread, I'll take the tank straps when you remove them mate. Would they be able to go in with the other bits for posting?
  22. Hi Tim, After another part to put in with my other bits if you haven't posted them yet. Do you have a passenger side parcel shelf support in black please? Undamaged? Found mine to be broken today.
  23. Looking very smart, how did you get on at the RR day? Any figures for us to drool over?
  24. Would love a nugget now, just don't have the room or spare cash for one. One of the others on ebay looks like a good choice once the Venom's are ditched! Reserve is a bit high I think. Needs more pics and details. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-VW-Corrado-G-Plate-1-8-16V-GTI-yellow-/180691066864?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a1206dff0

Look the same as In-Pro lights, you can get In-Pro's cheaper than that price I'm sure and keep an eye on ebay for them.
