I'd be interested at that price.

My son was round a friends and the mum dropped him back hone. The garage door was open and she saw the car albeit in the dark. "Is that a scirocco?" I politely pointed ourit was a Corrado and after a few seconds while she recalled what a Corrado is she excitedly replied how lovely they are. It then prompted a discussion about her and her boyfriend back in their early years doing various car shows.

You can get clear hard plastic protectors. They do pop up for sale occasionally but they are quite rare. I'm not sure how well the film, such as Lamin-X, works but Riley on here sells it.

Well played Sir!

Ah yes pearl grey (I used to have an atlas grey mk2 16v and it looked similar). Hmmm I hadn't realised there were so many Surrey owners. Maybe we should have a Surrey meet soon.

Might be worth asking on http://www.contractoruk.com.

Welcome. Pics of the mk2 please :) Whereabouts in Surrey? I'm between Kingston/Esher.

Bought. Thanks :thumbleft:

I've owned a couple of them back in 2002 and 2003. I really loved them and they are pretty cheap now. I nearly bought an older one instead of the Corrado but needed to scratch the Corrado itch. I'd certainly get one again. I also think that they will be a future classic; while they don't seem too special right now, they were so different to everything else when they first came out. They were based on the mk4 platform so not the most involving to drive or the most characterful engine. But they are quite quick for their age and have very good traction and grip.

Also worth pointing out whether the seats are heated.

Strange. They were there before. Its worth trying the ebay link above instead. Also, I think they were just Polo ones.

Bladdy good spot.

Stainless Steel Front (slam) Panel and Headlight Screw Kit + others
Portent replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
I'd like kits A, B, C and E please. I'll drop a pm. -
Hard to tell. If the 40k mileage is true then maybe. But the lack of pictures hints at possible poor condition (which is also mentioned in the ad) and with what looks like no use for a considerable time (10 years sat out in front of the house) then I guess a lot of pipework, rubber, etc, may have perished. Also the buyer has to remove the head unit and CD changer and leave it behind? Why can't the seller do that?

Sorry for the poor wording on my first reply. Phone auto correct changed some of the words. I've not had the issue myself of only working on speed 4, but apparently it's a failed resistor and easily fixed: http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm

I've been looking around for the fan motor in case it isn't just a bit of tape, but I can't seem to see them anywhere. Are they obsolete?
