Got my chinese headlight switch installed today from the recent group buy to replace the original one that I had managed to damage a while back (well a year ago) when I did my inline fuse mod. Ever since then I have always been scared to use my headlight switch. I am really pleased with the chinese headlight switch item. Cheers for organising it Matt. Here are some pics with it all working. The new brighter LED lighting gives the car a more modern feel in my opinion. I no longer fear using my headlight switch anymore as it feels so much better than my ageing/damaged one. I did have a fire extinguisher on stand by…just to be on the safe side with anything electrical :)

With the car running you may want to turn the car full lock left to right a few times and keep an eye on the power steering fluid and top up as necessary. It should quiten down after several turns. Turn the steering wheel from outside with the driver window down so you can dont have to get in and out of the car all the time and you can hear the whine and top up fluid easier.

Thats Brilliant RW1 thanks for clarifying.

You did well if it only took you a day to dismantle all that...If you need some genuine rear VW rear bush for your rear axle. There is a pair going for £50 in ebay. Think they normally retail at £45 + vat each. Keep us posted on updates.

http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?50827-What-are-these-parts-on-a-VR6&highlight=pcv+vwvw Have a look at this thread all you need to know with pictures of the PCV part. Inside the PCV there is a disk shape filter of some sort that will stop oil going up the intake pipe yours may have perished.

Have you thought about 1. Getting your original wishbones sandblasted and powder coated. 2. or you may consider getting a second hand original wishbones and get that sandblasted and powder coated and build it up off the car and sell your original again to raise some cash back later.

You will need to remove the headlights, front bumper and slam panel to replace the Radiator. Best also to support the engine before removing bumper bolts.

Anyone thinking of taking their door cars off..these are the two hidden screws...one behind the speaker cover and one behind the door handle which you need to take the door handle off first held by two bigger screws. The rest is pretty much obvious where they are. Looks like my door cards in the past were simple forced off from these hidden screws not knowing that they were there in the first place...as there are some slight damage found on my door trim and the screws were still in situ. i.e still screwed in but behind the door card itself and not holding the door card in place.

Looks like a bargain but I would also check the shippment to see if it has been hiked up to compensate.

I got the following 1 x foam sheet in black, 1 x stick on felt in black 1 x some double sided tape from hobby craft to sort out any squeaks and replace any old felt on the car this weekend. It all came in under 5 pounds.
