  1. Not sure of the proper name , but most of us know it as the radiator support panel .
  2. Thanks Sean. At least you should have all the bits by then . I know how you feel, your to busy at work , it's dark and raining on any time off .we will get there in the end .I want to be at volksfest this year .
  3. Thanks chaps , I don't know how far we will get, I'm really concerned about the rear tyres ,they are taking a lot of weight , it's been at least 4/5 months, . Those tires have only done 200 miles , I hope they don't get flat spots .
  4. Update . I can't believe it , I should have help next Saturday and I should make some head way on getting the old girl back together.
  5. Great news , look forward to reading the article.
  6. They look great , but 400 quid !. Think I will stick with my cassette holder lol .
  7. Yes Ian , I've known Rog a fair while now .
  8. Well worth a view . If you saw it , you would drive home in it .
  9. It's terrible now for first time buyers, its a joke really. My first two bed flat back in 92 was £59000. I was looking at prices of houses and flats the other day, my old nans council flat in west London is now 300k ! . Really feel for people nowadays. If you can afford to rent , you can pay a mortgage, it's that ridiculous deposit, which you can't save because you are paying huge rental costs .
  10. Nice to see you getting the car sorted Easy. I would kill for a ramp right now lol .
  11. I tried at least two years back, to order some leads, had no response.
  12. Looks a tad on the white side .
  13. I can honestly say the building trade is a hard slog . I've been plastering far too long . I work on my own , so I do everything. I do a lot of damp proofing as well . The physical toll on your body is immense. I'm 47 , I have so many injuries, aches , pains . It's a young mans game .
  14. I'm sure the problem will become apparent , when you remove the door card.
  15. As Sean says . The plastic clip that connects the door rods a has probably broken. I think you can still get these. Cheap as chips .
  16. Oh for a garage like that . Epic build , hats off to you . I really must get mine sorted soon . I will have flat spots on the tyres soon .
  17. Happy new year everyone.
  18. Hi Darren , I can't start the engine as I'm re fitting new parts to the underside. I decided to remove the sump so I could get to the wishbone bolt instead of jacking the engine up to get the bolt out . That and I have a new sump to fit . It's reassuring that it will be ok . I was worried that with no oil and no coolant things would turn nasty inside the engine . Hopefully I will get things on track soon . Edit . The old sump is fitted back temporarily, the bottom end is not open to the elements.
  19. Thanks a lot for the reply. I'm itching to get it back together.
  20. Morning chaps . I took the car off the road around 4 months ago ,to fit all the new underside parts. What with sheared bolts and other things that go wrong it's taken way longer than I thought. I was thinking of putting the coolant back in the system even though I cant run it , just to stop it getting nasty inside the block and the water pump. I could wedge the hoses upside down to prevent the coolant from running out . Then use it as a flush when it's running and replace it. Any opinions are gratefully received. Rob
  21. I forgot about posting back on this sorry. He was happy to make a couple up for me , but said it was a pita. So he didn't want to make a run of them . Sorry chaps .
  22. Someone will put a pic up . They are just a wedge shape if I remember rightly.
  23. You could make your own ?. Maybe use something like the spare wheel foam stuff and cut it to shape .
  24. I was hoping to wake up and see the VR on four wheels all back together. I guess the elves were a bit to busy .
