Thank you Jim . Interesting you say the cig lighter . I don't think mine has ever worked. I've swapped to a seat one now as its red along with everything else in my car . With the White plug connected it gets hot when pressed in and pops out as it should do , but it does not light up ? .

I was thinking that too. I have the cassette holder , which has a rubber disc on the top , with a hole in it . So presumably you could have this lit too .

Bump . Maybe it's a spare ? And that's why I don't remember removing it .
-
Thanks Rog . You really are a star ! .

No pic at the moment chaps . But it's a brown and blue wire from the centre consul area . It's the same one that lights up the ash tray . I've just refitted all the consul then thought , bummer what does it plug into ?. I've fitted the White plug and the other one onto the heater control. I just cant remember what this one fits into . Both of them light up the ashtray. Many thanks Rob

I tried to read it , but it's a bit blurry.

Shame , you could have sold it and retired by now . Lol.

I know Rog has been . I hope to go soon . Great news that it's more in keeping with the original . I was eight years old, when starwars first appeared on our cinema screens in 1977.

Welcome along . The others are all totally wrong . The correct colour for a Corrado is Dark Burgundy Pearl. All others are fake .
-
Erm . Pic two . That's not for real surely.

Welcome along.

Remember to take some bubble rap or old towels to rap around the irons . You don't want any ripped seats .

Spot on Hasan . They can be a pain . That's exactly what happens.

Tbh Delfinis , you shouldn't need any . I don't know of any tools needed to remove the trim . I'm trying to remember this from memory. It's all self explanatory really . The seat belt black or grey trim needs to be taken off , the part that sits on top of the seat . There's a screw which holds this on , then feed the seatbelt through the gap ( you will see what I mean). There is also a screw at the bottom where the door cill is , where it goes to a narrow point . Other than that, there are two or three black or grey plugs , which just need unscrewing. The fixings that you mentioned in another post , will pull out of there holes where they push into . These on average are twenty two years old , so your right in buying new ones . Also the seat belt will need to be removed from its fixing where it passes through the door card . All in all its one of those jobs , that as you remove fixings you can see what else is in the way and stopping you taking it off . As SI always says , hope this helps . Rob

Lol Dave . We should get a mini meet on in the new year .
-
Sell it , I will give you £1500. No honestly as the chaps have said , they have a habit of getting you hooked . A nice low mileage car is a nice way to start too .

I removed mine with the rear seat in place . That pic will be on the last two pages of my thread bud .
-
That looks like the right clips . Don't forget there are a few screws to remove too .

As Sean says really . I've just fitted my loom , I wasn't expecting much and I wasn't disappointed. The only way I would have thought to improve them is to remove the parts from a modern car and somehow adapt them to the Corrado seats .
-
Thanks Hasan , I will give it a go . I just can't believe how tight it's wedged in there.

Evening all . I received my Seat cig lighter today , with the red surround . I plugged it in to check it and it works fine , not that I would use it anyway . But it does not light up but it does get hot and pop out . Obviously there is a new bulb in the unit . Also I went to unplug it as it feeds in the other way into the plastic surround and I can't release it . I'm pressing the lugs together and pulling but it is as tight as , my fingers are dented lol . Maybe I could press the lugs in and pull it with plyers? . I don't won't to break it though . Any thoughts chaps . Rob .

This is not the first time , it happened last Christmas . On ordering from JD sports (trainers for the kids) , you get emails for times of delivery. Nothing strange in that , except the email comes from Veedubmachine . Is it me , am I missing something here ? . Either it's very strange or I have made a complete idiot out of myself posting this .
