  1. It's coming on . I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on this .
  2. Yep correct I will change the heading . Thanks Leon .
  3. As above please , mine has collapsed , so i need to replace it . Thanks Rob
  4. Bummer , bought some bolts today and they are snagging on the movement of the arm . I need to try and get some shorter threads and smaller heads .
  5. I suppose it's possible. Keep in mind to get as much height as you can when lifting the car . Nuts and bolts that have been on a car for twenty five years can be a pig to shift . If you need a bar on a spanner you need room . I intended to do my underside myself , but the weather is shocking . I'm getting nowhere fast .
  6. Keep us posted Sean . Be great to meet up again .
  7. At least you know that the problem is from the coil back to the fuse box . As Sean says really , check everything from there back .
  8. Ive had an arm for the wiper motor for ages , its been powder coated , so i have one more day off before going back in to hell , sorry i meant work, so i decided to fit the new part. I took it off and all apart fine , apart from the spline part. It has to metal pegs like rivets that hold it on to the bar . The only way of getting it apart is to break the rivet part . Then your left with a set of splines that you cannot atatch to the bar anymore . Has anyone fitted a new bar , how did you fit the spines back on ?. Maybe they can be drilled to leave a hole and have rivets put through them or a nut and bolt . Help is much appreciated thank you . Rob
  9. Nice to get the old girl out Sean . They don't like being left standing . Not that you have much choice, with work . All good in the end though.
  10. You haven't changed the water bottle holder ? .
  11. It looks like the bracket for an after market air filter ,or the isv holder .
  12. You've got me thinking now . If it wasn't dark I would be searching around the bay now .
  13. Very annoying Jon . When I'm sat in the seat , my eye is drawn to it . I might get a heavy weight and leave it on the dash over Christmas lol .
  14. I've managed to close the gap a bit more by fitting the instrument black cover back on . I will have a think on this one Darren . Like I said though it's only hardboard and the part that fits to it is plastic , so they both give .
  15. I would also take all electrical fittings off make sure they are dry and spray contact spray in them .
  16. I'm putting some of my interior back . The screw that goes up into the dash , behind the abs light is becoming a pain . It's fixed into the metal clasp and as tight as I can get it , but it won't pull the dash down to the centre consul . So I have a gap between the dash and the consul . Any ideas how I can get this tighter? It's only stiff hardboard so I can't see how I can sort it. Rob
  17. Deffinately agreed with you on Chris's prices . They are fair and get delivered double quick time .
  18. Seen as no one else has put it up , I thought I would . Hope all of you have a great time with family and friends. Maybe Santa will leave you a few car parts on the hearth for you . Eat drink and be merry ! , forget about work for a few days and enjoy . Many thanks to all of you who have helped me this year , with info and car parts .
  19. With this forum being so big and so many members, I really can't see anyone on here paying it Chris . Even the newest of newbies would question the price . I guess that's why they rely on eBay . Shocking price ! .
  20. Sorry mate , it wasn't a link , I just memorised it and copied it down on here for you . I'm not much good at links , I must learn how to do them . Good luck with the lights , gently, gently, does it .
  21. http://Www.tndparts.com . Maybe some use to you Goldy. They have the adjusters . I only had a quick look as I'm at work . Could be worth a look mate . I was lucky with mine , it crumbled as soon as I touched it , but I used mitre bond to put it back together.
  22. Will do , thanks for the info Darren .
  23. Great work Darren, eleven weeks ! . I will remember to fit the wishbones, the right way up , when it comes to fitting mine lol . I've never fitted any so I wouldn't have spotted it anyway . Looks lovely mate ,well done .
  24. That's what I can't understand. There is only one plug for the lighter. It's a brand new part . Yet it doesn't light up ? .
