Thanks Darren . I did notice a nasty loose patch of underseal while it was on the ramp .Fortunately it's still fresh and the grey body paint is still intact, with no evidence of rust . So I will get on to that ASAP .

I will bare that in mind Sean , thanks for the heads up on the cleaning . James , thanks mate . I forgot to reply to you about the caps , sorry . I'm going to email Compomotive first and see what they say . You never know I might get a freebie, since I've lost one to their crap fitting .

My money is on the temp sensor too . I've only just seen this thread . I had simalar problems, my sensor was reading a constant 76d .

A few more pics of the underside . Ive now painted the shocks in the original yellow . Finaly managed to sort out the brakes . It was the master cylinder that needed bleeding , well done Sean and Dan at the dub shack . They are the best they have ever been now . The fuel tank looks filthy in the pics , but its not , i cleaned it lol. Pics are worse than than the last lot i did ! .Never mind .

I've got brand new ones fitted . Now I cannot see how you can go wrong with the fitting , yet my drivers side sticks out a bit at the door handle end . It fits where it's supposed to go , you can't do anything with it but leave it . Annoying as its a brand new part . Edit these were Corrado parts not beetle .

I remember reading when you bought them . Yep , when you've finished , it will be a nice position to be in . I hope it won't get boring when all you do is polish it lol . Mine is like the fourth bridge , I think by the time I finish , it will be time to start again ! .

Evening everyone . I bought along with ten others , I think it was anyway, the Compomotive wheels in the group buy , around six years ago . Has it been that long already ! . I'm posting this as the plastic caps that fit in the middle are not tight at all , I've lost one already . I was working on the car today and when I went to fit the caps back on , they don't snap on , they just sit there . I don't won't to loose anymore so I left them off , which looks crap to be honest . Anybody else had this and found a solution ? . I would love to find some VW caps that would fit instead . Any ideas chaps ? .

I painted mine today , to be fair they weren't in bad Nick . I can't afford new suspension ATM so a paint will have to do . Yours must be nearly done now Sean .

Yes , looks like you are wanting the top part . As described on heritage , this should be the part you need . Sorry for the confusion .

Now im confused . There are two parts at the top of the door card , that slot together . One you cant see and the other is like a cover which covers the top of the card and sits against the window edge .
