  2. It is disgusting, covered in spider webs too . I've got a free weekend next week, hopefully I will be able to get her clean again .
  3. Thanks bud . I just hope the weather picks up a bit soon . I haven't cleaned my cat in two months or more !
  4. A few pics from the rear underside re build . Not the best granted , but my mechanic mate , Sham , was working on the car at the time and i didnt want to get in his way . He was cursing at the rusted twenty five year old nuts n bolts as it was !. considering the problems he has had ,im glad i didnt do this myself on the drive , it would have sat there for months . Many thanks to Chris Fuzzer for the seat bolster , i can now put the seat in for repair. Im not sure if i mentioned before , that a neighbor lent me his spray kit , so i can paint my seats , which will make a huge difference to the interior . When i get the car back , hopefully on Monday , i will jack the car up and get some better pics .
  5. i remember working on this around 2011 -12 . Nice car . Edit , wrong car lol . Looks lovely though .

  9. Noooooooo . Keep it up , I hate it when Christmas is over .
  10. You sticking a surf board on the old girl Rog ?
  11. When it's back home mate , or if I can get a sneaky look tomorrow. I just hope there are no more parts that are wrong ,it should be ok though . The rear disc covers were right and that was one of the parts that concerned me . Pics coming soon Matt .
  12. I bought this by accident , i have a VR so it will not fit on my car . Unused and in its box . Im after £50.00 posted . The cost from the supplier is £64.68 .
  13. I've just checked the one I bought on eBay and it says 16v 2.0 and G60 so my bad . I was sure I checked and it was for a VR . I can't return it now either, there is a fourteen day policy on it . I will stick it on the for sale section .
  14. I popped in to see my friendly mechanic to see how he was getting on today . Most of the old stuff is off the car now . He gave me the hubs and carriers so I could take them home to paint them . I didn't see any point in buying new hubs , I just used a wire brush and a drill , removed the surface rust and sprayed them with high temp paint . The brake compensator I bought was wrong , so a new one is on order . I hate it when your on eBay and it states to fit corrado VR6 , and it doesn't fit !!.
  15. Got to love driveway mechanics lol . It is hard this time of year , black as ya hat , before you know it and it doesn't stop raining!. Hope you get those track rods sorted Sean .
  16. I will still have the front underside to do Sean . I have a bolster on the way from Chris Fuzzer, so the seat can be repaired. Then there's the painting of the seats . I also have a few rust bubbles on the paint . I'm just doing what I can when funds allow really . Its getting there though mate . Delfinis , I'm looking forward to the dry weather too ! , this rain is relentless.
  17. A finished Corrado? . Let's not be to hasty matt lol . Thanks mate.
  18. At last , the VR has gone to my mates garage to have the underside rear of the car stripped of all things rusty for all things shiney . Having done the tank straps myself , that leaves everything else right up to the fuel filter housing , i robbed a nice plastic one off of a breaker [which was Robs , before Dave Buckler[above] bought the shell from him , sorry about that Dave i just had to have it lol. Im not going to replace the hubs , they just go rusty anyway . So when i get the car back i will rub them down with wet n dry till they are clean then ,either paint them or rub them over with grease to stop them going rusty again . Im a bit disappointed that i could not do the job with my mechanic mate as planned , but work is manic and i just cant take a day off so early after Christmas . Ive managed to get some of the interior back in too. I may leave the new carpet in its box , until the seats and door cards are painted , i havent decided yet . The new bar for the windscreen mechanism and motor is sort of fitted . It was only when i began to take the parts off the bar i realised that you cannot remove the part that the splines fit through , without drilling them out of the bar . So i drilled them out to remove them . I put it back together using some slim line bolts . But with the weather being as crap as it has been i didn't get time to test it until last night , i had idea that the bolts were to long but i didnt want to cut them until the motor was connected and i was sure the mechanism was as it was when i removed it and working properly , once bolts are cut it can be a pain to get the nut off and back on if needs be . So as i needed to get the car to the workshop i thought i better fit the bar and the wipers back on , driving in the dark with no wipers , when its lashing it down is not a good idea . Yep the bolts were too long and the splines would not pass all the way through the bulk head .I didnt have time to cut them and fit it back again ,but my luck held out and it didnt rain when i dropped off the car this evening , so my mate will finish it for me . I will get some pics up when i get the car back . I met up with Rog a few weeks ago and parked my car in his nice double garage so we could wire up the heated seat loom . Big thanks to Rog for wiring it up correctly to the fuse box for me . Thanks for reading . Rob
  19. ive managed to close the gap , when i fitted the surround in front of the clocks .
  20. Have a talk to someone in a fabric shop Rog , there must be one in Plymouth. If you take a sample of the old one , they will hopefully be able to match it .
  21. I think the old oem ones were white yes . Deffinately worth changing.
  22. You are both in a great position, as it doesn't matter where you are in the country, the wages will be the same . As opposed to someone like me who is in the building trade and the wage goes up and down depending on where you are . Have you considered the West Country? . It depends if you are a town sort of couple or country side or sea and beach . I have London and reading roots , moved to Devon fourteen years ago . I love it here , but I do miss the hustle and bustle of a big city sometimes and the money ! But it's cheaper to buy a house here .
  23. Thanks Chris , will ping the money across in a bit . Rob
  24. Happy new year . Resolution........ Mmmm..... Get my car finished !
