That's precisely the point I was trying to make :) Audi especially have really gotten up my back in recent years with a bajillion different models and endless different trim variations and options to fill every single conceivable niche. It's indescribably dull and uninteresting. Like you say Kev, something like the MK6 Golf R would be far more fun and a far less obvious choice :)

I just can't get excited about non-RS model Audi's.. I find them beyond dull. For that reason I would be the stick in the mud and go Scirocco :)

Excellent - you're very local to me! I'm over in Kenilworth & Coventry :)

I'd avoid those like the plague!!

He has a G-Lader for sale at £500 with no information on rebuild history, mileage off donor car.. I swear these guys just pluck prices out of thin air. Insanity.

Fantastic - you must be well chuffed :) Can't beat a force-fed VR :)

The current freebie that new members get. I've not seen them myself yet!

My work is only part of the entire package - most articles are written by club members, and truthfully I'm a terrible editor.. an electronic copy goes round to the committee prior to it going to print and the amount of typo's and general mistakes that I miss, that the other guys pick up is a continual embarrassment :) But it's very nice and humbling to receive such glowing feedback - thank-you :) I'm sure the entire committee will appreciate such feedback.

Ah - Therapors car! A name I've not heard for a while!
-
Mounting it on a bracket attached to the aux belt tensioner certainly seems to be the most popular option :) The only problem is the holes on the meccano strip are not wide enough for the bolts that mount the tensioner, so you'll need to widen one with a drill.

I garaged my Corrado over the last couple of winters, whilst running a daily - I just pulled the battery when not in use, and then whenever there was a break in the weather would make sure I took it out for a good run with a stop at the hand car wash round the corner again before putting it away (no running water at my lock-up!). Have to admit I didn't do any meticulous maintenance, and the garage is a horrid draughty damp hole - the car always seemed fine whenever I came to use it though!

I had an Aldi (or was it Lidl?) one which I was told was a rebadged CTEK - I didn't use it as a battery conditioner but charger whenever my Corrado was put away for weeks at a time and the battery would go flat. Technically it wasn't used that many times (no more than 30?) before it packed up! I've only ever heard good things about genuine CTEK's and would definitely buy one again if I were in the market for one. Wouldn't be so keen on buying the Aldi / Lidl one again.

Not sure what's happened to him - not a peep at all. I'll PM him again. Certainly - if you're happy to pay the higher price which we had to pay because of low numbers of folks, I'll spend any surplus over what's promised to Stealth on cakes, refreshments, etc. Price is £33.33. If you're OK with that let me know and I'll PM you the details :) Cheers.

That's probably one of the most minging Corrado's i've ever seen but great to hear it's getting resurrected. Definitely a thorough service would be a great start to getting it running a bit happier! What sort of mileage has it got? What condition is the interior after so many years of being left standing?
