    Floor mats RHD?

They used to be about £60 (couple of years ago).

    Hack my car?

Quite plausible actually - if you can plug a device into the OBD port, and given that most cars these days have electric steering and drive by wire throttle.. I'd imagine that sort of system is quite easy to implement for someone who knows what they're doing. No chance of a similar sort of system working on our humble old Corrado's though :)
  3. I got the impression that the other guys didn't want to put their name to a car unless they could make it exactly how they wanted it...
  4. Passenger side is widely available from ARZ tuning and others, but the drivers side is obsolete... :(
  5. Well a slight change to plans after all. So I cancelled that respray. I then decided that, as he offered, Tempest and I would have a go at DIY tackling the rust on my car. At the time I accepted that it probably wouldn't look pretty but would at least keep it at bay for a while. The products to do the job were supposed to turn up yesterday and didn't and I realised that I think I'd like to spend a little more money to tidy the car up a bit professionally. Popped over to see Tempest's bodyshop guy in Nuneaton and came away with a far more realistic quote to just sort out the rusty bits in such a way as to keep it at bay for a couple of years and I can then decide a bit later on what my longer term plans are for the car :) So hopefully a bit of a win/win situation. I don't get my wallet emptied, and I just buy myself a bit more time!
  6. I've pretty much given up on using the forum search over the years. The best piece of advice I can give is to use Google, and you can scope it down to a specific site by using the following syntax in the search box: site:the-corrado.net your search terms So if I wanted to search for information on oil for a VR6: site:the-corrado.net what oil VR6 Will pull back Google level results, but specifically for the Corrado Forum :) Hope that helps you and others like me who struggle with the search!
  7. Liking the new look! My only request - any way of putting back the 'show posts since last visit' that used to happen when you clicked the forum banner? The 'Whats New' button does something kind of similar...

Still looks pretty good for the money!

If that really has 11k on it, it'll already be sold and will re-emerge on a 'sports car specialist' site for 10k by next week :(
  10. Team : Grimsby Town! Never been much of a football fan (or sports in general) but after a few years working with a good friend of mine who is a lifelong GTFC supporter, I started going to a few games with him and got quite into following them over the last few years. This season? : Pretty optimistic. Last season we got into the playoffs, and went to Wembley for the FA Trophy final. We just weren't quite good enough and ran out of steam after being on fantastic form mid-season. The managers have quite aggressively been clearing out deadwood, and making some good signings and I really believe they have the the right sort of ideas to get us where we need to be. I can't wait for the first game on the 10th of August! Game youre looking forward to? : I've not been following town long enough to know the 'favourite' games, and grudges, etc. But the local derby against Lincoln on both boxing day, then New Years Day is always good fun so hope to make it to both of those :) Players? : Well, we resigned some folks we had on loan who were really good for us, made some great new signings, and our star striker Liam Hearn (who missed most of last season with a bad injury) should be back and fully fit this season.. so really I'm looking forward to seeing what the team as a whole have to offer!
  11. Yeah - I don't see there would be much point ripping the engine out of the R32, unless you really can't get on with the styling of the S3!
  12. In the case of Euro Car Parts, if they offer two versions of a part, buy the 'premium' one - will still be a lot cheaper than VW but will probably last better. CV joints are a good case in point. As you say, VW want about £150. ECP had a cheaper part at £30 and the premium one at about £60 - I bought the premium part and no issues so far!

I guess you've not seen the number of other threads on this part. The door scraper seal. One side available from ARZ tuning at 80 euro's (!), the other side is obsolete. I just sold a brand new pair I had in the garage to another forum member earlier this week for £100..
  14. Are there more 'all motor' tuning options you can pursue instead of boosting it then Kev? Can R32's be made into R36's relatively easily, for example? Or is that quite a substantial and expensive piece of work?
  15. It totally lives up to expectations - hope you have a great time!
  16. Afraid to say we're talking about removing that - not exactly 'work friendly' is it :(
  17. It's like they know when you're having thoughts about letting them go!
  18. The car rewarded me by letting a load of water into the cabin from somewhere this morning, with all the rain we've had - opened the door to find it smelling decidedly swampy, and the passenger front carpet feeling decidedly damp! Gotta love Corrado's!
  19. Pleased to report that my retest this morning took all of 1 minute whilst the MOT inspector reached into the car and had a swing off the steering column and exclaimed "That's a hell of a lot better!" - so that's that sorted for another year :) Thanks for the pointer to the DIY guide, Dave.
  20. And can confirm one thing - it's certainly a fair bit quicker!!
  21. Very sad to see a Storm being broken for parts, especially when there's nothing wrong with it. Thing is, sometimes there are folks waiting in the wings with a lot of money to buy a well sorted Corrado - it could well be worth your time to try and advertise it 'as is' for a good price and see how you do?
  22. Yikes! It's a bit like Cash in the Attic - but a bit more interesting :)
