Mine plopped through the door this morning.. I think I might keep getting the mag even though I am not part of the community any more. That modded spanish G60.. you have to give the guy thumbs up for the amount of work he has put into it, but it really is the ugliest thing I have ever seen - and its criminal to do it to a Corrado.

You aren't generally supposed to put WD40 on belts, but seriously, if you have a problem with a loud belt a squirt of WD40 shuts it right up. But its only a short term fix - a new belt is only like 15 quid so its worth getting it swapped if its noisy.
-
Belt dressing - aka - WD40 :)

Well as you already mentioned, I think i'll be going up - i'll be glad of a holiday in the summer :)

What kind of battery do you have fitted on your C? After a load of problems in the winter with my cheapo battery dying, I invested in a 56AH (I think) Bosch Silver from GSF (http://www.gsfcarparts.com) and it never let me down in the time I had it.

You know, the Saxo jokes were funny the first few times mate.
-
And I can vouch for the supercharged VR above (Tom Ingrams) - it truely is a beautiful machine. I would go so far as to say mint condition? A superb ice install, perfect condition body, and an excellent supercharged VR - reciepts for more than 3x the price of the car!!
-
Jez, I can post you the item from the Sunday Mirror as well if you want/need it!
-
Yeah.. I doubt very much he'd consider selling it for 5K! Though it wasn't listed as a Storm, just said that good condition Corrado VR6's can be picked up for about 5k now a days.
-
Roddy? Do you know that your car is in the Sunday Mirror? Page 73, column on the right hand side of the page! Quentin Wilsons section on cars lists some coupes worth buying under £5k - and I was gob smacked to spot a Corrado there and was even more gob smacked to realise it was Roddy's VR!! Did you even know about this mate? Your little bit of fame!! :D

I have heard nothing but outstanding reviews for http://www.mytyres.net/ - a few people off the CCGB mailing list have ordered from them and were thoroughly impressed with their service & helpfulness.
-
Hi Buddha and welcome to the forum. We have tried to setup a very friendly & helpful community and its nice to see that newcomers can see that.. I hope you enjoy your time here :) Your motor sounds pretty tasty.. you gonna get some pics snapped up for us? :D
-
Dan, Hasn't your C been featured in an article in the Sprinter? It certainly looks very familar.. as does the number plate :) Very nice btw :) :)

I admit the CCGB website could do with an overhaul... I just dont think that Guy has had the time to work on it.. The site has a lot of potential, and it could be a superb resource.. it just needs a bit of a kick :) It'd be cool if they voted to get you on board Andi.. if you go to the AGM, nominate yourself, cause I would definately vote for you! :)

VW specify every 60k... but most people do it every 40k.... I dont need to tell you what happens if it lets go do I ? *:) I should imagine the threat of a 4 figure bill is enough to force people to spend the comparatively small amount of money to do that minor job every 40k or so miles :)
-
Ah... wasn't you then :) I thought your car was blue for some reason... i'll be sure to watch out for a green one from now on :)

Answer 1 - I am going! Answer 2 - I have been before! Answer 3 - Typically, everyone parks up at the place and all have a chat / oggle at everyones cars, etc for about an hour or two. Then you head into the function room and basically the chairmen & people in charge of the group run over the CCGB's finances, memorable events of the year, interesting news, electing new people to run parts of the club (regional hosts, website, membership, etc). You also get a chance to check out the club merchandise which is currently up for sale, and buy it at a slightly discounted price. Its worth going to, just to see one or two hundred Corrado's all in the same place and to put names to faces from the mailing list :)

Damnit... this would be worth going to see as well... but I really wanna go to the rolling road day. And I obviously have to go to my old mans birthday lunch so the Pod isnt an option. I'll be looking forward to a bunch of pictures and a report on who kicked who's ass!!!! :)
-
Ah.. well thanks for getting back to me with more info but I guess I had better pass then. Honestly, I am complete crap when it comes to electrical stuff like this, and connecting up a stereo via an ISO connector is about as far as my stereo installation knowledge goes. Thanks anyway :)
-
I have a dyno plot at home.. will try and remeber to post some details up here when I get back later this evening :)
-
Yeah.. I have seen the Corrado in Ronin.. but its only on screen for like a second. I'll try and get a screen grab from the DVD at some point.. Didnt know that old Count Dracula (Quentin Wilson) owned a Corrado though! Cool! :)
-
If someone can find a place to host it, I have an ISO image for a Bosch learning CD which teaches you all about Jetronic fuel injection with animations and narrations. Its not insanely technical but gives you a good idea on how it works!
-
Ooops! Missed this thread! Very nice & tidy mota too hot! Love the scenery too mate :)
-
Nope, cause they normally show up again just as soon as you have put them to back of your mind, and leave you really annoyed!! :)
-
too hot, does it have the original wiring & iso connector on the back still, and the original mounting cage to fix it into the dash? If its got that, then I am definately still interested :)
