Amen... your Storm does well and truely sound like a minter now mate! Nice to see some more complimentary reviews of PD Motorsport.. you guys sound like you are doing an excellent job, and getting yourselves a great reputation.. Any plans to get some pictures snapped up and posted for us? :)

Well I am still on the lookout for a head unit.. but seriously, if its going to be a bit of a ballache to get a deal sorted then don't worry too much about it :) I'll just have to chance my arm with eBay or somethin..
-
I'll be back in a Corrado one day or other, I am sure.. would like to buy a beat up old 1.8 or G60 one day and work on doing it up over a few years... that'd be worth doing :)
-
Of course i'll stay around.. I dont particularly fancy signing up and participating on Saxo forums mate!! The Corrado is still one of my very favourite motors.. I just wont be driving one.
-
Doh.. thought they were 16's. Tis a sweet car though mate!
-
*chop* Oops.. are you asking whether I still want your Sony one or not?
-
I heard that swapping the radiator on the Corrado is a total sod!! So be advised before you try and tackle it yourself.. might wanna take it for a local garage to tackle instead :)
-
I would almost dare say they look like 16's... they seem to look just a little too small for 17's. I am probably wrong though :) The car is a stunning colour - that 2nd image in the fading light from the front view is brochure cover material.. superb. Is it a 1.8 16v? Seems to have the earlier style bonnet.. unless the light is just tricking me.

Sweet looking C :) The engine bay is really tidy!!
-
Oh.. nuts.. well then wont be going this Sunday as I have both the Stealth Racing rolling road day, AND my old mans birthday / dinner thing. I guess i'll have to be next time now!! :)
-
Wow! What a beaut! I love the colour and I love the alloys.. very nice mate :)
-
You know what the irony is? When it comes to car problems, I am a complete lemon - I take it to garages to get even the most simple problems sorted. I have just soaked up a LOT of information from other people on both this and the Yahoo eGroup, and of course have had lots of the silly problems myself on my Corrado. Yes, I plan to stay around at least until I get another Corrado, or maybe even an Audi or something :)
-
Well you'll at least (hopefully) recognise me as I haven't seen many gold Saxo's about.. I'd love a return to the VAG stable in a few years, most definately :) Hey - by the way - do you ever drive up near Warwick University, more specifically were you up near there last week? My mum mentioned that she saw a 'beautiful original golf' in a blue colour with nice alloys. She said it was absolutely spotless. Was it you?? :)
-
I'll definately be at the next RWYB to see this up and coming clash of the titans :)
-
I believe its worth a little more, but there were a few little bits and pieces that needed doing before I would have felt comfortable enough selling it. I just decided to trade it in and gte my loan paid off - the trade in value was exactly what I needed to break even. I have lost a LOT of money on the Corrado (about £3000 in one year) so I just wanted it out of the way and put behind me.
-
Heh... I can't really see the Saxo being able to compete in many of those fields. But I hear its supposed to handle very tightly...
-
Most definately... or at least a return to the VAG stable in one shape or other. I'd love a nice Audi TT, Bora V6-4MOTION, or Golf R32 :) Or... a Corrado VR6 :) And for those that wanna see it, here is my new car-to-be...
-
They gave me £2,800 and said that the car was 'very nice' and 'very clean' which was quite a nice compliment after the hours I have put into it. I was told that a VW dealer in Birmingham has already bought my Corrado off them, so should be appearing in a month or so at a VW Dealers somewhere in the area. *sigh* :(
-
Well I went and signed the paper work today.. I have about a week or two left with my Corrado. I can't tell you how difficult this has been to do.. I am as much an enthusiast as any of you, but I simply can't afford to go on as I am. I still plan on staying around here as much as possible.. i'm still a fan of the car even if I dont own one!! Don't go too hard on me for picking a Saxo VTR.. :|

Tis a nice lookin mota!! Not so sure about that green lookin Corrado in the "Old and new" picture... LOL :) J/K Roddy :) :)
-
Have to say, I was flicking through Performance VW the other day, and happened upon a page selling various bodykits. Now i'll be honest and say, I have always been dead against body kits on the Corrado.. I just never managed to find one that I really liked. But I really started to like the look of the Zender replica kits.. something about it.. just set the C's lines off perfectly. :)

I just read a guys site recently.. he had decided to do this project. He ended up totally stripping his Corrado and having the floor pan re-welded by Awesome GTI over a period of 7 months (at god knows what cost) in order to accomdate a 4WD system... I think its a hell of a job!!
-
Are they Corrado branded, or are they just plain? Just interested to know :)
-
Ouch... £2304... thats a pretty steep bill. Assuming you dont pummel the G-Lader on a daily basis when you take the Corrado out, and you have it checked periodically by a reputable service agent like PD Motorsport, then it isnt all that unreliable is it? Or are G-Laders renowned for just going pop for no reason?

Wow!! Talk about a bargain.. like you, I have a bunch of niggles with my car that I need to get sorted but I suspect they might be a bit more in total : * Squeeky accelerator cable (replace!!), * Exhaust seems to rattle around the downpipe from engine / join to middle section, * Could do with coolant flush / replace & change gearbox oil, * New HT leads so that I can actually get the ignition reference sensor attached! * The ever present steering problem which is suspect dodgy bushes.. but no idea how much it is to replace them, * And your regular old 10,000 mile service. Would pretty much be spot on though after that lot.. considering just biting the bullet and getting em all done when I go see Stealth next.. that is, assuming I dont sell the car first!!
