    Rear Tail Lights

OT I know but.. welcome to the forums iceman! :)

    Got my G60 :D

Has it had the supercharger overhauled / rebuilt? Should have been done quite a while ago (70k roughly) to keep it from packing up and leaving you with a nasty bill. Other than that.. congratulations and welcome to the wonderful & expensive world of Corrado ownership. Count how many times you park your car up, and walk away only after having stopped once or twice to admire it! I *still* do this even after a year when the car is all washed and shiny :)
  3. Tracking or wheel balance could be out..?
  4. Andy, Still no news! Believe me, my ears are well and truely tuned in and listening out for news.. I might be able to ask John Munyard at the AGM.. whenever that is!
  5. I wouldnt expect he has a charger on a 2.0 16v? :) Well if you have any way of doing it, I'd really like to hear what the drilled airbox mod sounds like.. if you can capture it some way, i'd be really keen to hear! Either that or hope I bump into you at some kind of event? :)
  6. Hm... Should have (from memory and in no particular order) the following modes : Time, Outside Air Temperature, Oil Temperature, Driving Time, Average MPG.. and I think there is another but not sure. There are 2 possible modes on the MFA 'stork' - mode one is the current drive, and mode 2 is the 'total' and average of every drive since the battery was last disconnected. HTH! And I hope the Corrado you see tomorrow is the one!! :) (BTW : 82,000 miles is just fine on a VR.. its just getting run in there!) :)
  7. I pay about 1400 quid a year, fully comp with Direct Line. I am 22, clean license, 2 Years NCD, and my 1994 2.0 16v is unmodified. Should hopefully fall a bit again in June when I come to renew, though this time I *will* shop around as I really dislike Direct Line. Only went with em as they were cheapest(!).
  8. Corrado insurance continues to get worse as the cars get rarer.. its frustrating because its not the actual performance of the car dictating the price (lord knows, a Fiesta Zetec-S would kick my 16v's ass at the traffic lights) but the rareity of the car, the likelyhood of it getting broken into, and the cost of repairs.. As anyone who owns a Corrado will know, all of those three factors are a problem. Yes, only 9000 were bought into the UK - yes, people are always getting their C's broken into, and yes the repairs are a nightmare. Its one of the reasons I keep looking at other cars.. I just can't afford to keep up with both insurance costs and repair costs. Have you tried looking around at some of the more well known companies (amongst Corrado owners) for car insurance? I have had favourable comments for Greenlight, Chris Knott, and Privilige. Also Adrian Flux are supposed to be very cheap!
  9. Southam Nr Coventry, Stealth Racing (http://www.stealthracing.co.uk - contact details there), Well known amongst the VW community.. will undertake pretty much any VW & Audi work & upgrades, as well as regular servicing and maintainance stuff. They know VW's inside out. Affordable, and good quality work!

    Strange Noise

Does it improve depending on how warm the car gets / does it go away after a while, or does it just stay the same?
  11. Hm.. little late so its a bit of a rush job, but I just had to have a go!
  12. Well, its the same kinda thing for me.. I am 22 and still living at home - its not really the ideal arrangement. I need to get the hell out and find a flat ideally next year so.. no VR for me unless my pay doubles or something!
  13. Could really be a niche market selling replacement pins for broken door handles on C's - seems like someone is posting about this problem on a forum every other week.
  14. Same kinda thinking as me.. I would dearly like to own a VR but am not quite sure how I will find my way into owning one. And yes, an Impreza or nice Audi would fit the bill after the VR :)
  15. I would say its caring for the car, m8 - so where'd ya think ..... Moved, with a link to it left in the old forum. :)
  16. Andi, You want to make this a front page item? Might encourage some more people to sign up if they see offers like this! Very kind of you Glyn.. I'll make this sticky to draw attention to it. I think it might get moved at some point.. not sure whether to put this in Parts For Sale, or Caring & Repairing.. anyone?
  17. Blair, I prefer the old fashioned type, believe me. Coventry just has too many 'geezer' garages, and I hate leaving my car with them. Thats why I have pretty much gone to Stealth Racing out at Southam every time for my jobs.. its expensive, but you know its getting done properly. The only place I do quite like is Tyre Sales in Coventry (behind Halfords, just off the ring road) for general simple bits, MOTs & tyres - a great bunch of guys who are always happy to help and do a job very cheap.
  18. A 1 litre Peugeot 205 Trio ... And thats it. I didnt want to go the ususal route of having to work up to the Corrado.. I knew I wanted one desperately so I got one :)
  19. Blair, That would be very cool of you if you could find out.. Warwick is a short drive as you say, so that would be very handy. Jim
  20. Well I am not really a fan of any specific team, but I do follow the Sky Blues to see how they get on every week... But I dont even think a Sky Blues fan would drive that thing ;)
  21. Well I am probably a little 'last year' but Goodyear Eagle F1's are pretty good. Recently put a pair on the back of my car - they look cool, and they grip very well. Can't say how they wear though as I have only had em a few weeks.
  22. I am looking for a single estoril which I am willing to swap for a Sebring with a tyre in good overall condition? For some reason, the sebring is my spare wheel when the car is decked out in estorils and I really want to get it swapped at some point! Any one?

    dodgy steering

Steering was pretty hairy today driving to a relatives in Warwick.. its not wheel bearings, the tracking is definately OK, so I reckon it must be bushes. I think I will get Stealth to check it out when I get my service done at the end of the month. Anyone have any idea new bushes would cost inclusive of labour roughly? :)
  24. Haven't seen the R32 on the roads yet, but I have spied an Audi RS6 at both the dealership and on the road... Gotta disagree with you though Joe.. I personally would donate body parts to own one of the RS6's.. its a total beast! Talk about huge road presence, with stacks of power to back it up!! :)

    ABS

On all 1992 or later Corrado's it was fitted as standard.. but it was an option on earlier model Corrado's. Dont know if that helps you narrow it down.... As VR6 says, there should be an orange ABS light by your buttons for fog lights and stuff.. when you turn the ignition on, the orange light should come on as it tests the ABS system.
