1. The washer is a separate part but it might look like it's welded itself into place on the axle. You will need to remove or bend it in order to get to those screws and you can fit a new one on reassembly.
2. I've got a pair of Osram Silverstar 2.0 (with a headlight loom) and they give a decent bright beam without being white or blue tinged.
3. Parts have not all turned up yet but the postie hasn't been round here yet so I have my fingers crossed.
4. Haha, you're not alone with that one! I notice a lot of people do it, myself included.
5. Assuming all the parts turn up I'm going to be getting the headlamp washers serviceable tomorrow ready for the show. Will be taking photos for the Sprinter, Jim :D
6. Nice paving on the driveway.
7. Just ordered fresh fixings for my headlamp washers from VW, plus some hose and clamps. Hoping to get them all sorted for Stanford Hall!
8. Kip, do you mean #7 on this diagram? http://www.partsbase.org/vw/corrado-cor-eu-1995-117-disc-brake/
9. I've been with RAC for 6 years now and due a renewal next month. Haven't called them out this year so we'll see if the renewal premium includes a no call-out discount but I'll be on the phone to haggle it down anyway :) When I have called them out in the past it's mostly been for my van and they've always sent someone who knows what he's doing with older vehicles. Last call-out on the Corrado was on the way to Stealth last year when the fan controller gave up. The RAC man hooked up a stage 2 bypass and followed me from the Coventry bypass to Southam :)

Engine Cover?

Bring your polishing gear to the next show, Ray, and you can spend all day polishing manifolds!
11. If this is still going ahead then I'll take one for VR6, no emblem.
12. Great to see people again and put more faces to names! Also spotted this on the way home. Which was nice.
13. The government is going to ruin the livelihoods of makers of novelty tax disc holders!
14. Another late payer here - thanks for keeping this one going!

WTB: Upper windscreen trim

Thanks for all the replies and sorry for the delay in responding; for some reason email notifications weren't on. It's #15 I need, the plastic trim bit that goes along the top of the screen. Looks like it might have the right bit and worth a punt at £13 with the delivery. Yep, they've got it here. Will probably go here if the trim from ebay turns out to be wrong!
16. After the upper windscreen trim as a careless window fitter managed to break mine and then go on to fail to seal the screen properly... :mad2: Part number is 535 853 307A 01C Ta! Neil
17. I got Febi chains and the rest (tensioners, pads, etc) from TPS. All fine so far.
18. If you splice the wiring to the radiator temperature switch you still rely on the fan controller operating properly in order to switch on the fans. You could instead bridge two of the wires in the fan controller harness, but I forget which ones.
19. I was hoping for the same effect but replacing the oil cooler on mine made zero difference. I've been wondering if the oil itself can influence temperatures, grade and quality, etc.
20. You will be able to replace just the parts that have snapped. It's about the same amount of work either way considering you will have to remove the headlining and sunroof cassette. Remember to grease it up thoroughly afterwards!
21. Clearly you spent most of the trip at full throttle admiring the noise!
22. Sure, but the first round's on you Which days are preferable? Weekends, weekdays? Need a venue, too. Preferably somewhere with a decent (free) car park where we won't be getting in the way. A couple off the top of my head: Fox and Grapes on the A64 (Leeds Volkswagen Collective meet there) Burger King off junction 1 of the M621 (an American hot rod cruise used to meet there) Suggestions welcome!
23. Welcome! Fancy organising a Leeds mini-meet?

Sticking clutch

It's on top of the gearbox. You can trace the hydraulic lines down to it. Rams' suggestion is good, though. It's worth trying a bleed first, even though I had the same symptoms and it did turn out to be the slave cylinder.
