most bodyshops offer warrenty on there work for a certain amount of time, iv recently found out that on bare metal you should use an epoxy primer as it inhibits corrosion, and if you dont use an epoxy the rust may come back alot quicker! i did a good job removeing the rust on mine but i didnt know about epoxy primers when i was doing it :( ah you live you learn!!

love bannded steels, i wanted some for mine but the local company couldnt do them straight enough and i didnt want to pay posting them away :(
-
damn you would of thought they would of been cleaned atleast! not to mention would of used near perfect examples to house in a museum.
-
same cheers..
-
hi, im after the trim peice that runs across the front above the windscreen that secures the headliner, its clipped in and mine had to be broken to be removed :( prety sure mine was grey, cheers..
-
lol same, i didnt even notice haha!!!
-
check your maf connection plug for moisture in there, i had the same thing but it was due to the maf cable routeing, it would allow moisture/water to travel into the connection plug, depending on how damp/wet it got, the revs would rev up and down , and if it was flooded you couldnt drive it! as it would rev up and down then cut out!, blow the plug out and a quick squirt of wd-40 or something similar sorts it right out!!
-
looking forward to driveing in the rain!! lol

when your talking about led lights i presume your on about led bulbs like this ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1156-382-G18-Car-Tail-Brake-Turn-Signal-WHITE-9-LED-Light-Bulb-BA15S-P21W-DC-12V-/120809373306?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c20ccbe7a they make a big difference? cheers for the pic cazza i cant exactly see the pin stripe lol, ill just experiment iv got decent 2k clearcoat and ill be able to buff it aswell so in theory it should trun out prety good, just need do get some red spray tint... just came across this {not literaly eww err!} although i think he needs to darken them, looks a tad bright on his mk4 http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/p/406932/2942666.aspx

cazza they look sick!! how does the pin stripping look? surely it would look a little out of place? im assumeing you only pin stripe to mask so abit of amber light shows through ? draggon green, iv used lamin-x on my fog lights {when i had them} turned out prety good! think im gona use it on my head lights as apparently they dont effect the brightness in the slightest,, yours looks good though! so think i might go with just a light smoke spray and then clearcoat them for a glossy finish, saves any hassels i may get with indicators, i have a spare set of lights and i also have a damaged one , so im gona experiment with that. LOL @ the rear ended comment, couldnt help but giggle :)

good luck m8,keep the updates comming ;)

Right folks, need to freshen up my rear lights, to many choices! all red? slightly smoked but with clearcoat for gloss? or just clean them up and clearcoat them for a fresh glossy look? my cars black so im thinking all red slightly smoked with a clearcoat would look good but how does the indicators look/work with all red? any pics of what you guys have would be appreciated , thanks..
-
mine did this awhile ago, although it just split and i wasnt experianceing stalling problems, maybe some heat proof shrink wrap tape or tube would do the trick as a temp fix? good luck in finding something ..Merry x-mas people !!

finnaly got around to putting on the basecoat {colour} today, it went prety well, not as well as i was hopeing but the visible panels have turned out prety good, only 3 things which didnt go to plan, slightly scrapped air hose on paint , not bad but will need attention, condensation dripped off my mask on to the passenger side sill! so i gota sand that out! and in a couple of spots there was like contamintion marks which i have no clue where they came from , could of been the resin from my tack cloth but this is mainly on the drivers side door shut/sill so not visible when doors shut, overall im pleased with how the paint layed down, that devilbliss gun is an absolute beast!! compared to the cheap sealey gun, beautiful fan pattern and so smooth to operate, just need sand out those bits and re shoot another coat atleast iv got decent coverage and im halfway there :) pics arent great due to the light and i didnt have much space, it hasnt got its glossy wet finish yet as it still needs its clearcoat

think idd be happy with just a 2wd r36 hehe

hi m8, saw your post on the vr6 forums, i believe the guy you wanna speak to is cbmotorsports on there, im 99.9% sure its what he does for a liveing.

yea i messaged them guys and apperantly they dont do them for rhd, gutted, its exactly what i want, ill have another search but looks like i'll have to make one up which i realy dont have motivation to do.. this would be ideal!! but the price isnt!! and ive already brought my two gauges and sender, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VARY-RARE-GENUINE-VW-CORRADO-OIL-PRESSURE-AND-BATTERY-VOLTAGE-VDO-GUAGES-NEW-/160695687124?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item256a3597d4

imo if she still loves it, its up to her realy what she wants to do,why you even trying to convince her otherwise? isnt that the womens job? your descriction of the car sounds like its going to be reliable for years to come, at the end of the day the cars not worth much but it is to her so just let her run it till it dies..
-
hi, does anyone know where i can get one of these but for a rhd corrado? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170605577843?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

best bet as mentioned is test the voltage of the alternator with a voltmeter, or you could take it some where {like a battery place} and they can test it for you, its a 10 second job
-
yea i know where you guys are comming from but it also helps to use a little common sense in avoiding these in the first place, not many people on ebay sell things at there own loss, i.e a taigate for £5.00 which is gona cost around £60-£70 to deliver, and wooden flooring with free postage? probably means free because its collection only?, not defending anybody but it allways helps to message the seller first before you do anything on big items or any items, you can also get a prety good idea of how fast they are by how quickly they reply..tohottorot you can get your money back from ebay if you havnet already done so,

im 90% sure they dont anymore, i could do with a new 1 also. -
well its good to know that you havnet had problems, doing the water pump is one of the things i want to do for peice of mind, im just paranoid as most bolts on my car are normaly sezied to the point of snapping or rounding off and after doing my wishbones i had one of them bolts shear off on me and that created an absolute ball ache, took 8hours to sort out, 6 of which were spent on my back with a drill :( but yea allways give bolts a good soaking with penetrateing fluid..
