    Honestly, if it were problematic for those holes to be there VW wouldn't have designed it that way, the flywheel is there exposed like that on all the 24v Golfs etc. Any miniscule amount of water that gets in there will be chucked straight off a flywheel spinning at over 800rpm and any that stays in a baking hot bell housing will evaporate in seconds. There must be a reason for the holes they are not meant to be covered.

    This is exactly what will happen if it's a used car specialist, if it's a larger used car retailer or main dealer however, it's more likely they're giving you about £100 for your's and £900 discount as they'll be expecting to send it to the block for pence. Be cheeky and ask for the discount without the trade-in and put your car up for £1500ish. They can only say no and if you don't ask you could be costing yourself £££ for the sake of them taking a car they may not even place any value in.

    Very impressive :) were the holes in the floor for the R32 throttle pedal? Is it easy to make the pedal neat and solid/secure?

    Is there any sign of anything being forced in there? Or hammered out? If not it may be a machining issue? The hub would press in from that side but it would take some force to flatten the splines I imagine.

    How much is it for just the 3ft arch gap and the 'carbon fibre' creases? I don't really want my C to look like a real Ferrari...that would be silly! I just want it to look absolutely ****e :)

    Yeah I did it with the front end on but in the time I spent messing about I probably could have it off and made life easier. Plus it's very easy to damage the new rad when you have to maneuver it into position. Oh and the fans are a very tight squeeze. Just take the front off and save the hassle :)

    The coilovers should have a convex top plate moulded to fit into the top mount bush. Take them back for a refund.

    A NEW stanley blade will be the best bet. Unless VR6 will lend you his laser but this may melt the hose.

    Like Andy said you can drive Heathers Fabia any time, It's been remapped and deffo feels quicker than my Corrado, dunno about your's though :) can see your viewpoint at the minute though, Corrado's are a real money pit.

    Sounds like your battery is knackered. If it's clicking it's because it doesn't have enough charge to even turn the engine over.
