My mate sells new VW's and my VR6 honestly could not shake his mk6 1.4tsi Golf. I drove the mk7 GTI back from Goodwood and it is a stormer, it would annhilate a Corrado but who here would spend £30k on a Golf? My mk2 8v is slower than dripping treacle but it's fun, cheap and I love it.

I had an issue like this, I changed the fuel pump and ecu relays and that cured it. Fuel pump is no.167 unsure of ecu but worth checking before you start pulling the engine apart.

If you can only hear it when driving between two buildings or hedges then it's likely nothing to worry about. I doubt there's a vr left on the planet that doesn't sound a little tappy.

Hella is as good as oem, but saying that during 5 years at Blade Volkswagen radiators were so prone to failure on most models it was quite suprising. 3 years at Ford and I've done 1 rad! -

The oil TPS told me was for the vr is synta platinum which is 5w40 fully synthetic. If you go for the same grade good quality it shouldn't matter.

My Corrado is for sale so I put it back to standard, I never fitted the B12 kit so unable to comment sorry!

I bought a B12 pro kit from a guy on here. I haven't fitted it but I saw pics of his vr with it fitted and it sat level lowered about 30mm. That is definitely not right. There is no adjustment on the rear shock spring plates.
