Late black carpet Black carpet from my 1995 VR6 (late interior). Overall in good condition - the rear is excellent, there's a slightly worn patch on the front driver's side and a small tear in the very front edge of the passenger side (hidden by trim when installed). No rips in the heel pad. Doesn't stink of cigarette smoke which is a bonus! ?40 + ?10 p&p, or collect from Harpenden (M1 J9). Spal make a PWM controller that uses a stock temperature sensor, your best bet would be one of those (though they are a little pricey). Mine ran a little hot with a single-stage sensor and a single relay, it was on the big list but I never got around to sorting it... Stone
-
The real answer would probably be hard-chrome plating them and then having them ground back to the right size. So long as you never starve the oil again (!) the head wouldn't wear. http://www.amphardchrome.co.uk/hard-chrome-plating.php Stone

Assume you aren't going to buy mine then, Matt? It's not like I've been holding them for you for weeks. Oh wait, I have!

Why on earth would you want a sunroof in a car that came with factory A/C as standard? It's just another thing to have leak... Mine cost just over £6k with comparatively spaceship miles (117k) although it is a modified 3dr in Deep Pearl Blue so not really aimed at the same market. £10k is strong money but you never know - I'd probably expect around the £8-9k mark if it's as mint as it looks. Collection only, please. Not convinced it would survive postage without a silly amount of bubble wrap.

Yep, still available until the forum's marked it sold. Hit the blue Buy Now button and it's yours...

Fan controllers are tricksy, there are four listed for the Corrado and nobody ever seems to have the right one fitted! You must ensure that it has the right suffix letter as the connectors and functionality change between versions. 25 1H0919506 electric fan control unit / to be used for: / also use: / F >> 50-P-020 000 1H0 919 506 A N 017 125 2 / ABV,KR,9A,PG (25) 3A0919506 electric fan control unit / to be used for: / also use: / F 50-R-000 001>> 357 919 506 A N 017 125 2 / ABV air condit.: 2E (25) 357919506E electronic control unit / electric fan / for models with radiator fan run-on / F 50-R-000 001>> / 9A,2E (25) 3A0919506B electric fan control unit / for models with towing facility / and/or / for vehicles with automatic / for vehicle use in warm climates / F 50-R-000 001>> / 9A,2E So depends on whether you have an auto box or aircon, and early or late VR. Also worth checking if you have a chassis number within the range specified in this VOSA recall, you may be having early trouble with the bearing. Worth sorting out as mine has these symptoms before it eventually caught fire... Stone

Correct part number for the black one is 1H0 947 105 01C - the last part is the colour code, which tends not to be printed on the units anywhere...) Also fitted to Golf, Passat, Jetta, Vento, Transporter etc, but my bet is that someone in China's making them new. Stone

Price drop to £250 to get it sold. Stone -
Internal door triangles Pair of Corrado interior door triangles. Good condition. All clips intact - one was bent back by a clumsy former owner so I repaired it with a fillet of epoxy resin - now it's stronger than the originals. I'l throw in a full set of six trim clips - carefully removed so they'll hold them nice and tight. Price includes UK postage! If by the resistor you mean the thermal fuse thing then I have one that's been knocking around for ages. PM me your address and I'll send it over. Nick
-
That will be because the cig lighter and spoiler motor draw a good chunk. My suspicion is that they wanted to have as few fuse types in the factory as possible so just defaulted to 5A for anything not requiring much power. Personally I'd downrate any fuse just supplying lighting, it's incredibly rare for them to go which makes me feel they aren't doing very much. Incidentally the only time I've ever had a bulb blow a fuse is when one of my brake lights went, I only realised I had no brake lights when the gear shifter wouldn't unlock, as the auto uses the brake light feed to drive the solenoid! Glad it reached you ok. Apparently I can be a bit paranoid with packaging

I've got a handbrake cover - pretty much mint, black. £30 posted. Can chuck in the boot hinge trim. I also have a nearly-perfect driver's side roof trim but I doubt it'd survive postage, sorry... Stone

Been getting an awful lot of queries so here it is again in big text. PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE. No need to ask me for my PayPal details, just hit the Buy Now button which will let you immediately pay while sending me your address in just one step. I insist on this so I don't get a load of hassle with people arguing about where in the queue they are or agreeing to buy and then vanishing. As with all my items it will go to the first person to follow the forum process. This is as fair as it gets, if you like the price then push the button. Simples. Stone

Corrado Bentley workshop manual The definitive workshop guide for the Corrado - enough said. Good condition overall - it's been used as a reference so there are a few thumbprints on the page edges but none are torn and the corners aren't foxed. Too useful to stay mint for long, anyhow! Price includes UK postage. Interior light with pushbutton-style sunroof controls This is an OEM light/sunroof control unit (part number 1H0 959 728 BJE) - Golf Mk3 / Passat style with the pushbutton controls for the sunroof. Much better than the ridiculous hook switch the Corrado was lumbered with! It's in grey rather than beige so it matches the trim plastics for a late interior. Nice and easy to control while driving - push the rear button to slide the sunroof back, the front button to close it and the round central button to tilt. No need to be in any one position beforehand - if the sunroof's fully open and you want it tilted just press the central button and it will fully close before tilting. (Assuming it works, that is!) No harness modifications required, just unclip the lens in your light, release from the left side using a flat-blade screwdriver, unplug and then plug this one in instead, for a total install time under five minutes. Perfect condition lens with no broken clips, two working bulbs and a very tidy surround. Although it clipped into the headliner just fine, I found the metal clip kept falling off and disappearing behind the gearstick whenever I removed the light unit to tinker with the sunroof so I've glued it on with a small blob of epoxy putty. Invisible when fitted and it's now guaranteed not to make a bid for freedom... Price includes UK delivery.
