  1. his automated emal said this:- I will be out of the office starting 06/02/2006 and will not return until 13/02/2006. I shall be on holiday so please contact the office for any urgent matters. so that's tomorrow ?? I'll have to ring him, email doesn't seem to be the way he works!
  2. should be alright if thats the case. I'm still DYING to see if it's a 6 speed though. I'm building a mk2 with an S3 lump in it for a mate at the moment, we haven't sorted out the box yest so we waiting so see the outcome of this before I do anything else!
  3. if you can trust ATS to do it right, then get it done there.
  4. coxylaad fitted an 02m 6 speed into his mk2 1.8T hated it so much that he sold it! be warned. I'll ask him to have a look at this thread and pass on his thoughts.
  5. running 18" wheels with 45 profile tyres too are you?
  6. Well, after you disabled the traction control so it could actually do its job!! I can get the diffs for $750 direct off Peloquin. but then you have to pay shipping and import tax *cough* (no you don't  ) *cough*
  7. would you be interesting in fitting a peloquin diff and rebuilding my mates gearbox?
  8. why don't you kust post a pic of this box up. scared that it's all a load of bollocks? go on, show us!! I can show you a real 6 speed if you like, i've got 4 of them!
  9. Corrado is written as "Carrado" in the first paragraph of the all smiles project...
  10. if they are stiff, then you need to have a look and find out why! usually it's because some plank of an alarm installer has rammed a load of wiring and some leccy boxes up behind the dash and kinked the cables that operate the heater box flaps.
  11. that's because that's how it's meant to be operated, with the fans off. if the fan is on then you'r trying to move the flaps in the air box against the air flow, which is why the controls break. always have the fan speed set to zero when you change the blower direction and you won't break heater controls anymore.
  12. I'm about to order a couple too. I'll email gary peloquin direct and see what he can do
  13. The guy is now on holiday until Monday........
  14. I will have some leccy window motors and woring for sael shortly. will take the manual ones in part ex too.
  15. I'm still waiting for proof! where's the pic of this box?
  16. makes me laugh that people want a 6 speed, and are prepared to go to any lengths to get one, even if those 6 gears, or more importantly the final drive is totally unsuitable for their engine and tyre size.
  17. they are old cars. to most people they are just that, and old cars are worthless unless you are an enthusiast.
  18. I didn't though. Coxy's was the first. he just never drove it.
  19. oh, right. I must have just imagined you comng round to my house for a look then!!
  20. are you sure it's not an 02M???? the o2J looks just like an 02J but with a different shifter tower arrangement and some patterning on top of the box.
  21. so that would make is like a vw motorsport 6 speed, like mine, which was bloody expensive!! I'll keep my eyes open for one of those then!
  22. why can't you insure it? age? I deliberately never totally finished mine off before wanting to drive it. and now I have, I know what need to be changed. If I'd totally hidden the wiring loom and done stuff like that it's have been a hell of a lot of work to change or fault find anything. You can't possibly expect everything to work 100% perfect when you've literally changed almost every single component on the car.
  23. still waiting for prices. getting rather annoyed about it now actually.
  24. 6 speed 02J on a mk5?!??!? that's a new one! more info please!
  25. yeah, but only to my mk4! They're too big, I'm selling them. Got something else lined up in a more corrado friendly size.
