also, having the box totally rebuilt and filling it with quality oil will improve the shifter feel infinitely.
-
just remembered, i actually have a brand new VR6 near side driveshaft with brand new genuine VAG CV's. picked it up at at a show a while ago, but would let it go for £50 if anyone wants it.
-
knock the CV joints off, bin them have the shafts shotblasted (and no doubt chromed) fit new GKN CV joints from GSF, (about £20 each) but with genuine VAG gaiters (plastic, not rubber, they don't split, shame they are £18 each!) New bolts, washers and gaskets from VAG They should then look like mine:- you can go mentla nd nuy the uprated driveshaftshop ones, but you on;y really need those if you're racing and giving the drivetrain serious hammer.

Just shows you how much notice you all took why coxylaaad showed you all a pic of a haldex diff in his corrado oevr a year ago....
-
EDIT: double post..
-
it's almost mid engined!
-
reminds me of the old Racing Dynamics alloys you used to get on BM's. I can imagine it'll look a lot live haywires 5 spokes (can't remember what they are) should work
-
sounds like a big ECOTEK valve....
-
if you're paying for all the labour, it makes no sense at all to do all that work purely for the final drive alone.
-
g60's sound horrible. I couldnt put up with that droning racket for more than 5 minutes.

hey, you need talk, you took all the credit for the "first" 24v corrado! git ;-) -
especially when it's getting a 270bhp S3 lump......it'd be madness not to fit one. The whole idea of going for the vr6 box is for strength! and the low final drive to make use of that mid range grunt the 1.8T puts out.

except mirrors......and a "hood". It's more than worthy of a feature, and a front cover shot for sure. keep at it. It reminds me of "big" Ron Huyzers mk2 VR, my favourite mk2 ever. -
that's what put me off, I just didn't have the tools. I've got to swap a G60 bellhousing onto a VR6 gearbox for a mk2 golf 1.8T conversion I'm doing, but I'l trying to convince the guy a full rebuild and peloquin should be done at the same time really. it's a "now or never" thing. or more like a "now or whenever the box spits it's diff out" thing!

I'll also take credit for the tinted lights on Gordon's car. seeing as he bought the first set off me, but then had to replace one....and ask me how to tint them. I never seem to get any credit :-( (just aswell, i'd be in every month!!) -
strange, never heard a bad word said about the phirm. they've obvioulsy never had an 02a in bits then... done it myself, but I was too scared to risk doing it with the 6 speed kit, I wanted a guarantee with that!
-
moving the engine over and inch so the downpipe fits is just cheating and, IMO, WRONG!!) (just to wind coxy up!! ;-) )
-
how much money do you want to spend?

I noticed you got another little featurette in PVW, showing the damage. still, proves to people that it does get used! -
ah well, at least my engine had been in my corrado for a short while, and is currently being installed in one as we speak! so we'll let em off.
-
it's also a complete and utter lie. I know plenty of people who've done it. who told you that?
-
love the way they said that other cars had also ran....then called my 4motion a "Rado".....clever chaps, yet more fact bending....
-
nah, not yet. they first supplier I contacted have just ignored me. struggling to get time to sort anything else out at the mo, too bloody busy at work to ring anyone.
