1. Could you please tell a little about how you change it for a mk III mech? Cheers, Redfox.
2. Hello, do you still have the black plastic generator cover with the metal arm? And can you post it to Denmark? Cheers, Redfox.
3. I think they can do nothing. And you just end up having him getting your address or something like that. The offended is an open book, whereas the offending part is protected but all kinds of crap. Happens many tiems. I guess you could think of just letting it go, and be happy that you are not the poor woman who is married to that piece of c..p. Imagine if he reacts like this twice on a day, how is he to live with? A piece of s..t. A lowlife whit no moral and ethics. Poor family. Anyway, sorry for your loss. Cheers, Redfox.

Oh, btw the mailman brought a box of secondhand parts, mostly for installing the extra clocks in the centerpanel. I then found out that ashtray etc. does not fit... I think I'll have to work something else out. I would like it to be as oem as possible. Hmm.. thinking... more later... Cheers, Redfox.

Went for an icecream today: Got some nice comments about the Corrado from a familyguy, and after coming home, decided to put on the new set of black version BBS hubcaps today, after having cleaned the Corrado inside out, polishing, waxing, trim cleaning and protecting etc. Not overly satisfied with the black ones, I think I'll put these on after all, as the old ones were getting milky white: Cheers, Redfox.
6. Cleaned the car inside-out. Polished it twice and then waxed it. 10 minutes later, just after I put it into the farage, the rain was pouring down. Ah, also put on a new set of BBS hub caps in carbon look. Looks good Owen! Enjoy the sharper handling. Cheers, Redfox.
7. Congrats on the new Corrado. And the Elise Cheers, Redfox.
8. Where did you say that scratch was? Your car looks good. Cheers, Redfox.
9. Ah, I know that. It just means that you can spend more quality time with your Corrado, and that the car knows that you did not clean the sunroof drains, so now you have a chance to do it ;) Cheers, Redfox. ---------- Post added at 10:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:30 PM ---------- Wendy: Say likethe movie "carwash"? Cheers, Redfox.
10. That means bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla... You get the idea ;) That means I stop the car, and ask the person to get out. Of course saying something nice about Corrado's would swiftly change that to relatively okay - for a few minutes... ;) Cheers, Redfox.
11. Looks good. Would like to hear more, if it so turns out. Cheers, Redfox.
12. Hmm... I more or less second all of your somments, but I'll write some of the ones I've had. * Sitting in the back - forbidden. * adjusting seats - forbidden. * eating/drinking/smoking - forbidden. * touching paint and glass - forbidden. * commenting on me driving, especially going fast through corners and s-bends - I stop and ask the person to take the bus, period. * slamming dor - forbidden. * leaning and hanging on an open door - forbidden. * talking like a parrot - get out! * using thespoiler to pull or press - forbidden. * parking near me/driving too near me - F..k off. * using the sill as some sort of staircase to get in or out - totally forbidden. * lending the Corrado and my tools or carrying kids - totally forbidden. * Someone saying: Lend me your wax and sprays/polish/whatever - NO WAY, get your own cheapscape. * roof is some sort of shelf or sofatable - get lost! * generally I see that most people don't care at all about their car or other poeples cars, so I tend to stay off them, and they can take the ferry! * Thinking my Corrado is some sort of lorry that should carry all their crap/furniture, shopping ect - will never happen! It's a car designed for maximum two, to go fast and feel joyfull, nothing else, period. Cheers, Redfox.
13. Go tell him to mind his own life ;( In my country there is a law that protects you from being watched by someone - disturbance of the private life. And put a spray on the tip of the hose, so you van vary the spray AND save water ;) Cheers, Redfox.
14. Very nice tankstraps. Are they for sale generally, or is it somthing you made? Are they the same for the 55 Liter tank? Cheers, Redfox.
15. Sounds good Dave. What I mean with scraping, I was thinking not of scraping on the arches, but between tires/wheel and suspension/inner body. Cheers, Redfox.
16. I had standard suspension on my former Golf 2, and never liked it, then Eibach arb set, and loved it, then I went for resonable coilovers (plus other stuff) and loved it, I could hammer it through turns. Now doing the same on my Corrado. But I do agree that there are limits to lowering. And you have to use quality parts. Cheap parts always punish you sooner or later. Comfort is not my thing ;) though. Surely sounds interesting with the finetuning of KW's. I want a V3 next time, so I can increse return, slow and quick bumbs etc. Cheers, Redfox.

Hi, they were 82,40 euro incl. postage. That is double the price over what the official BBS importer here wants, or rather wanted, as he can't get them any more. That is a pretty steep price imho. fleabay makes people think they posses gold decorated with diamonds ;) Cheers, Redfox.

Hmm, got an Easteregg from Germany. Wonder what's inside?: Ah, new center hubcaps for the wheels. I was thinking a bit about what those 177 hp's and 228 Nm comes from, as it was conservatively measured, as he said. I took a look under the bonnet, and saw that I have the "P"-cylinderhead, which have bigger inlet- and exhaust porting, like this: inlet: 38 * 32mm (normal is 35 *30mm) exhaust: 36 * 25mm (normal is 33 * 25mm) and the correct inlet manifold "AD" plus specific gasket (normal is marked "N"). The exhaust manifold should also be a bigger ported one from factory, but don't know and haven't seen any data on it yet. Anyway that explains why it's relatively nice performing. So well chuffed ;) Think I'll make that better with some exhaust, cam and some other small tweaks, which will be rolled of course. Does anyone know if there's any gains to be had from another throttlevalve or other similar things? I heard somewhere, that you can use a Mk 1 GTI inlet manifold to gain more midrange, but less topend. Don't know if it's true. Cheers, Redfox.
19. Hi all, I am looking out for the bracket that holds the generator plastic cover (60 ah?). So if you have one, please give me a hint. See oicture: Cheers, Redfox.
20. Don't worry Abdul. it's not hard to do, just takes some time. Cheers, Redfox.
21. After two layers of leather revive, I lay two layers of leather binder which helps the later layers stick on. Then for all layers of colour and for all layers of clearcoat, I add 10% x-link, which helps it stick on and makes it more strong. I'll keep the water tip in mind. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Redfox.
22. This old clip shows a good reaction and luck from the Corrado driver, not hiting the bmw. It makes me kind of scared that people clap their hands, when someone crashes... Cheers, Redfox.
23. tried the standard cloth Corrado seats: nice and soft, holds okay. Leather Recaoro for Corrado: nice and harder, holds just fine and best looking. Golf 2 Recaro Edition One in cloth: The top of the pop, hard, comfortable, holds you firm and you sit like in nothing else. I konw, because I had a set of them. Regrettably I sold them. Should have never done that. Put them on a Corrado Recaro frame, and you're done. Cheers, Redfox.
24. Hi KADVR6, just remember to spray one gloss layer, and then three total matt layers (plus the softener and pretreatment layers beforehand), and they look like factory. I did the same. Here's a picture of the finished article: Cannot really see it because of flashlight, so maybe on this: Cheers, Redfox.
