    Blues?

2 very sweet looking C's there... man I wish we got weather like that here and the light quality is just perfect 8) Really can't see me growing old in the UK when there are far better places to drive dubs... and lastly - yeah that blue looks really good but wants raising slightly ;)
  3. coolrado, it's a skyline - he broke the C cos that kept getting fked too ;)
  4. Like it - will try that next time  Neil you should start seeing it around a bit more now - I've had it back for a few weeks to do the running in and i'm just waiting for it to come back from it's service 8)
  5. Yeah they look really nice black - what colour grey is your C... have been thinking about somekind of dark center with polished lip rim for mine 8)
  6. lol I do the spray wind screen trick when tw@'s sit too close to me on the motorway... after a few goes they soon get the message and back off a bit  Still not seen you about town mate :?
  7. Damn thats bad news mate... bet the police were as helpful as a used tea bag too  Good luck getting it all sorted... depending how quick you need to get the window fixed I think you'd be better off finding a s/h peice of glass for £20-30 and fittingit yourself - happy to come up to town to give you a hand if that helps?
  8. Hope you haven't told them about what you have been doing with the exhaust ;)
  9. Thats really shite news mate... hope you manage to get it sorted out easily :?
  10. Thats unlucky! Do Trimsport do one? Had a look on their site and it doesn't seem to be on there but it's prob worth giving them a call as I'm sure they will be able to do it or know someone that can 8)
  11. Looking really sweet - imo the black surrounds work better and for some reason make the BBS suit it better... will it be at E38?
  12. They look really sweet... deffo on my short list for when everything else stops costing me so much and I have 'spare' cash 8)
  13. not sure about the mirrors but on the whole it looks like a nuice mk3 8) so, what you got planned for it?
  14. sorry to hear about your bad luck :? on the bright side - at least it's not a metalic and you won't need to get the whole side blown over should the new door need painting

    1992 VR6 Handles

Firstly welcome to the forum - it's good to hear about another happy C owner! your problems all sound familure... C handles are known to break and snap as easily as a kitkat tbh Do a search for more info on this pap design and known cures - you have a few options: fit lockless rear passat handles (requires a bit of modification but nothing too hard), contact Dave 16V on this forum as he makes a repair kit for your existing handle and your last option is to be thankful it's not the one on your drivers door and leave it as it is - how often do you really have to get in from the passenger side ;) As for your battery... I'd get it checked as these symtoms can be down to the battery being at the end of it's life! If it's not that then check your earth points and maybe have the alarm checked over... As for 112,000 miles you may need the cam chain replaced but I'm sure some of the VR owners will be able to advise you better... HTH Phil
  17. One would need to pay a visit to ones nearest scrap/junk yard and search for said Merc sprinter. Upon finding - one would then cut the vent out and then ask ones freindly bodyshop to perfectly fit it to ones wing init... Could be a problem if you don't have the Sprinter in the states... if thats the case then start contacting UK yard and ask them to send you one 8)
  18. I kinda like the way it looks rounded tbh... looks good in the photo! Would want to see one in real life before deciding to get one though,
  19. I've always liked C seats! I had them in my mk1 Golf which left you peering over the steering wheel on their lowest setting and added to that go-kart drivability... I do find that my back can ache a bit after a long journey though (was worse in the mk1) and like Kev said they really could do with lumbar controls but that really is my only criticism 8)
  20. I've had mine for 2 years and have driven it for about 6-8 months... I had loads of problems to start with and after spending a year in the workshop its running... the engine is now pretty much brand new and has just finished being run in but still has problems so is back in the workshop again! All this has cost me about the same as buying a Storm (including the initial purchase) and is still just a standard 2.0 16V! Today has got me at an all time low as have just spoken to the mechanic who has had it back since Tuesday and he has no idea what is causing the misfire! I do feel like chucking it all in and being done with it but I know that it will be worth it in the end (I hope) Phil
  21. Surrey Rolling Road get my vote too... alright the owner is a mate of mine but thats beside the point ;) The benefit with these chaps is that they are an indipendent road and therefore don't exagerate your figures as they have nothing to proove... their rollers can take up to 600bhp x2 (So they can run 4 wheel drive with up to 1200bhp) We did a rolling road day there last saturday and it was a big success enjoyed by all... just have a look at these threads: South East RR day @ SRR 28th of mayandSE Rolling Road stats and pics Hope that helps
  22. ooow! sounds nice! look forward to your pics 8)
  23. IMHO the RS's normally look very good on a C but in the case of silver (or other light colour) black centers look better (and this is something seen on other factory VAG cars) Gold centers just look wrong on a silver car and like the silver centers will always work well with a dark colour... silver and gold together just reminds me of chav Argos jewelry  If you don't want black centers I personally feel it will always look better on the RH's with silver centers... I'm afraid I also agree with Kev's statement about your h/l surrounds... This post isn't intended as a slagging off though as I really feel this is one of the best VR's I've seen. The level of finish and attention to detail is a credit to the owner!!!! It's your car dude - do what you like with it 8)
  24. That’s the exact reason I'll leave mine on too... mine only gets used at w/e's tbh but I would rather be able to leave it with out the worry of expensive doors being exposed!
  25. That looks really nice mate... what colour is it?
