    Headlight Guards

top tip - they look really good... might have to get me some of them 8)
  2. Looking sweeeeet matey... you'll have to pop over to see me with it once you've sorted yourself out from your trip 8)
  3. I think that a satin or matt black would look better than gloss... but otherwise I think it will really work 8)
  4. The thing that depresses me is the "you've spent how much trying to get your C to work and it still doesn't  !!!???!!!" I don't get any stick for modding it though - oh yeah thats right I've not had it in my possesion long enough to do any of that... on a more serious note - my freinds always supported me with my Golf and I don't think any of them have a problem with my C... however I'm not one to go into details with non-like minded people. I just let them admire my car and don't bother sharing the specifics! Next hurdle will be getting the C back and the new g/f realising that in fact she's my other 'third' ;)
  5. I'm sure the young can appreciate a C as much as anyone else... hell, I'm not old!!! If you have the money to own, run and maintain a C then good for you :D
  6. I had a beige ford seirra 1.6 GL for my first motor... [lie]man I loved that car - such a babe magnet[/lie]
  7. I take it you don't then dry them off with a match
  8. Red G60 K***UBA in Brighton today - bent wiper arms and very dirty alloys...
  9. Looks very smart Darren - I love these cars, will probably opt for one as the next company work horse 8)
  10. Nice one matey!!! looks like a beaut... hope to see it at a meet when I'm feeling a bit more pro C :)
  11. As said above... although I know randal on here has aftermarket electric windows and his switches have more wires running to them than the standard VW kit - it might be worth PMing him as I'm sure he can tell you a bit more about his set up (it was fitted before he bought the C though) Welcome to the forum btw... get some pics of your valver up in the members gallery 8)
  12. 18's proportions look to big for the C imo... better off going for 17's if you want big or getting some deep dish 16's for the pimp look 8)
  13. Not my cup o tea... shame though as it's obviously been a lot of work getting the exterior to where it is now - you gotta admire the fact that the owner has really tried to do something different though! What engine is that? I'm liking the plastic cover holding the HT leads infront of the manifold - would like to try to fit one to my engine 8)
  14. very very nice mate... black is one of the best colours for it imo 8)
  15. Deffo a re-trim IMHO... bloody good price though 8)

    Steering Wheel Q

You're quite right in thinking that there were 2 types of wheel on the later ones... the top pic is of a VR wheel and the lower is of the Valvers. AFAIK the VR was leather whilst the lower one is not! I have the lower one which I might be happy to sell if you want it? If you have the early interior then your stalks should also be early ones - I'm guessing the previous owner will have changed them if they are now the later ones... HTH
  17. Nice looking C from what I can tell - postage stamp sized pics don't help all that much ;)
  18. It's a tough life - sorry to hear about it!!! What do you do for a living - can't you transfer and move closer to middle earth or is it just too nice there?
  19. Nice touch chris... would like to do something similar but with a shift light 8)
  20. Welcome to the forum - lovin your car too 8) Where in Surrey (actually) are you?
  21. Have seen your VR around a few times... nice to put a name to it now ;) Love your Polo! The coupe is so much nicer than the square back ones - hope to see it at no-rice soon 8)

    my vr6

wheels and ride height look spot on - missing a bit of side trim though ;)
  23. Sold to me as a low mileage 2.0 16V only for me to end up with no end of running problems followed by nearly a year and a half off the road and a new engine!!! Once the original block was out we discovered that it had been swapped for a 1.8 (with obviously a lot of miles on it) before it had come into my possession! Its cost an awful lot of money to get it nearly back to how it should be and I'd love to meet the person responsible for the swap :(
