    mouldy lights

yeah mine used to do this - just used the jet wash with them in situ and it always sorted them with out any problems... you could always run some clear silicone around the edges to provent it from happening again!
  2. That certainly hauled some ass! Probably the only Ford I would still like to own one day 8)(
  3. no just another one with an ABS fault
  4. Looks like some quality engineering there fella 8)
  5. I'm loving the new Audi ad at the moment 8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GStcrh43yXQ
  6. that has to be my favorite C of all time 8) Why VW didn't do the C in that colour as standard I'll never understand!
  7. Looks great I like the wing vent that you get on corrado's - oh wait a minute
  8. That doesn't sound good! Hope it's not too bad :?
  9. I'd work with what you've got tbh mate... bit of patients and you'll have it looking sweet in no time!
  10. Lovely looking C! Front splitter doesn't look bad but will look rotten after you have caught it a few times - I had a colour coded splitter on mine and it lasted 6 months max!
  11. I really don't like any of the aftermarket options and especially don't like the type posted above (sorry!). I think the best look for the C is to keep the standard bumper and lose the plate recess... anything else is verging on Chav IMO!
  12. I don't recall the C seats being that bad but I used to have a pair of C fronts in my mk1 and they were awful - gave me a really bad back and were terrible for getting in the right position! Mind you I found recaros to be worse as the bolsters just don't hold you as tightly as the standard seats!
  13. Cant help matey but might I suggest a beer or two for mid Jan - would be good to have a catch up!
  14. lol at the black one! I can see why when you have a number of the same car that a name would help and I can't see you or Dave ever getting sexually attached to your cars  I still think some people take it too far sometimes... maybe I should come up with a name for my LCR and get over it! hmmmm think I'll go with 'money pit' :D
  15. Cheers for all the comments chaps! I think I've managed to talk myself out of it tbh... this thread has helped a lot and I woke up yesterday doubting and still feel the same today! I think given the current climate etc I'd be wise to wait for at least 6 months and in that time I will hopefully get the Leon re-mapped! I still think the TT may happen one day but not right now! Thanks again for all your help 8)
  16. I really don't understand why anyone gives their car a name or comes up with some kind of living identity for it! It's a car FFS do you have a name for your kettle or your microwave? I am a complete petrol head for want of a better term but I've never named any of my cars as I understand that they are purely mechanical and there is no need what so ever to have a conversation with it! So, car naming does that make you creepy or can you justify this sick behaviour? Discuss! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvuY1nO27Go
  17. Really nice looking C! Not keen on those aero wiper conversion blades though - really ruin the look of a car IMO

    [Poll] My color

Have you managed to use the internet before?
  19. Phil K

    Mine :)

Looks loverly! Still cant get used to those crystal front lights though... oh, and you may want to do a search for the lupo wipers thread! ;)
  20. Jim , I know what you're saying but I the problem I have with the LCR is that there's very little I'd change with it and it just doesn't have that 'special' feeling when you're behind the wheel... where as the TT has more potential for putting my own stamp on it and as per my 'missing the C' thread I really want to be back in a coupe or something a little bit special! WalEsy I guess I have made the decission but it's always nice to have other ideas thrown in or be talked out of it before it's too late
  21. Nice idea but a) I want to stick with VAG and b) I pay for the finance with my car allowance and work stipulate that your car is no older than 6 years... I'll be safe with the TT for a few years once I get my plates on there to hide the 03 plate
  22. Greeny, thought you may pop up and say that  Spotted you over on the TT forum too! How you getting on with it? Kad, I did consider the 3.2's but the engine size (although not an issue to me) would bother the wife - as far as she's concerned a 1.8 is more economical and I don't bother her with information on turbo size etc  To me a switch to an A3 or R32 would only be a sideways move from the LCR as it's still only a fast hatch...
  23. Mine were 8X17 but I have no idea on ET... was also running 25mm adaptors if that helps at all?
  24. Right I've been getting itchy fingers again and am hankering after something different so I've just been to look at an Avus Silver Audi TT (225) with full black leather 8) Performance wise it feels slightly slower in a straight line than the LCR (transmission loss through Haldex or different power delivery?) but in the corners you can really feel the difference the 4wd provides! All in all I think I've fallen for it and although it's a couple of years older than my LCR it has 20K less miles on the clock which is nice as the LCR is nearly due an expensive cam belt and water pump change... So the good points, lower mileage, better in the corners for grip with the current conditions, slightly less crashy ride, heated leather, coupe, better build quality, possibly less depreciation and dare I say it more potential for modifying! Bad points, 2 years older, unusable excuse for a back seat (not always a disadvantage), hairdresser image?, group 18 insurance (rather than the current group 17) and will be extending my finance agreement for a further 2 years... The TT's up for a touch under 11K and I've been offered 6K for the LCR so it's not too much of a leap! Further to that if anyone wants my LCR for £6K then let me have the cash ASAP and it's yours! Need to make a decision in the next couple of days as insurance is due for renewal next week so it would make sense to do this now!
