Driving though tunnel vid's...... Another.....

Andy Brookes, PM sent -
Just got the car back from the bodyshop today.....................wow absolutely excellent job.........well happy. They even blacked out the tyres before I picked it up. It helped with my Bro being a friend of the bodyshop manager. Whilst it was in for the bumper I had the sides painted too as I had a keyed scratch the length of the passenger door and some big dents on the quarter panel crease amongst numerous other imperfections. Apart from the cracked fogs (Dinkus is saving them for me) the car is in near perfect condition outside and just as good inside. Would love it see it on a show stand sometime. The body and the suspension set-up were the two things that really bugged me with the car and I've had them both done in the last two weeks. Needless to say I'm well & truely skint.....but happy.

Mike79, Welcome. The forum is a nice place to hang out for an hour or 8. Did I say 8....that's a whole working day

White K plate G60 today heading towards Crown Island in Notts about 4.30pm. Looked very clean.
-
Not very aerodynamic tho. Needs some sweeping curves on it.
-
Thought I saw SLOT today driving thru Stapleford in Notts this morning at about 9am. Was the same colour and had those unmistakeable alloys. I was dropping my C off at the Sandicliffe bodyshop.

Ah yes it was on Ebay a few months back. I remember cus it was from my patch.

Phats Motor

I'll do it.
-
Should also work from passenger side.

Don't just take my word for it tho. I don't know how well the weitec corners/handles against the Koni/H&R's. Anyone else care to comment?

Riley, already sent you PM. No you can't just stick it back on, it'll just break off first go. -
He made one. and wont make anymore coz he's selfish and wants it all to himself and thinks we're lazy and should make our own. it's not fair.

I had the Koni's with Vogtland springs and found them too hard. Changed to H&R springs yesterday as it happens, with much better results. Go with Koni + H&R but you can't buy them as a kit in the same box, they are seperate items. I've not tried Weitec tho.

I know I posted it before but I have a standard leather knob and a nice surround, he he. About £20 from GPC for the knob.
-
Stumped on that one. Outside temp is the last displayed before it starts again.
-
Yes, it's normal.

Computerised 4 wheel laser alignment gizmo, had it about 6 weeks.

Finally had the H&R's fitted today at Stealth.......... They've made a big improvement to the handling and ride quality over the Koni kit springs. The initial test drive down a nice windy road toward Banbury felt very good. The roads back to Notts from Stealth are mainly motorway so didn't get a better feel for the handling. Will know tomorrow tho on familiar roads. I think I need to play around with the settings, I had them set-up for the Koni springs. Had 4 bump stops changed, front top mounts, H&R springs and 4 wheel alignment on Stealths new equipment. Got some loose silver from £400. I recommend the H & R's if anyone is thinking about changing. I can also recommend Stealth and Vince.

Now that looks sweet, I say that looks sweet.

Same here.

Ok, car is booked in Tuesday 10th and hopefully should get the dinks and scratches done too. Good news is I'm dealing direct with the 'at fault party' insurance company and they've admitted liability, authorised repairs and arranged courtesy car........nice.
