carpy25, But do they have the same clips and are assembled the same way? Cheers
-
markievw, welcome to the forum.
-
Can someone tell me if early and late headlights are the same? Thanks Dave

I think I'd be inclined to wrap it in cotton wool for a few more years.

I do like to make a proper job of most things I attempt. Thanks for the comments.

It's good to see the elderly C's doing so well.

A couple more better pics.

Today Hxx KEY lovely Black valver, Derby Road, Sandiacre, Notts @ 9.45am, you turned into Leopold St. I was behind you in a white Citroen C3. 12pm today F plate Bergundy coloured, looked nice and low on Black coloured alloys. Seen at a garage on Pasture Rd, Stapleford, Notts.

Hey mate, ya car is looking so sweet with those rims. Nice one!
-
Just had my renewal thru from Chris Knott £339 fully comp, exactly the same as last year. I think I'll give Brentacre a call as they seem to be a favourite at the mo.
-
Kev, I thought you were thinking of selling, ya just can't help it can ya

Kids would never get to school late again

Drove my directors S2000, very nice car, good driving position, quality build and sounded great once you got it spinning above 6k which is where all the power lies. Took me a while to get used to not changing at 6k. If you like high revving motors then this is the one.

Just watched it Jim, loved the run thru the cones, not to mention the engine tone 8)

Just run out to the shed with camera in hand. Have a look at the pivot shaft end on the shifter. If it has the afore mentioned 'nipple' then you need the later clip. They are not interchangeable so identify the right one.
-
There are two types, early and late. Late has a small locating hole in the centre that drops over a small 'nipple' on the pivot shaft. I think I have one of each lying around. I'll try and get a pic of them.

.................I thought you was gonna say it was Yellow and 6ft tall

Unfortunately VW never have them in stock.

DEL VR6, cheers mate. It will be going thru the insurance. My brother knows the bodyshop manager very well (used to work with him) at the garage I will be taking the car to so I should be able to get my dings and scratches sorted too.
-
GIXXERUK, I'd like to make VERY clear that I have not been rear ended but my car has  The ball will be rolling with the insurance this morning. Thanks for the comments and support.

He justed called me and thought it was very steep just to have a couple of scratches sorted. I explained the bumper had pushed up against the bodywork and that it had become distorted, needed to be removed repaired and repainted. He even had the nerve to say the scratches could have been there already  , for f*&k sake he rammed the rear of my car and the bumper was spotless before. He finally agreed that it will have to go thru the insurance but felt he had to inform the insurance company that the damage was only on the surface and they would send an assessor to have a look at it. So what, that's what insurance companies are for. I personally think he has something to hide. What a dick

Yeah, your right, £414 for the bumper plus paint, labour etc. Just got the quote this afternoon. The bumper is really not bad, just a few paint scraps but it has been pushed against the body so the reinforcing plate inside maybe distorted. I got another quote to remove the plate, straighten, refit & repaint £337. I called him and left a message but surprise surprise he hasn't returned my call, after all he did want to pay it himself. Can't say I didn't give him a chance. Oh well, his company insurance will have to deal with it now.
