Phil K, Got off the phone to John also today and seemed to come away with a good deal. £314 fully comp, protected no claims, legal protection and unlimited mods with a bhp limit and £25 cheaper than Chris Knott. What's interesting is that over the past three years my premiums have gone down every year and I've done it by quoting my current premium to the new insurer. On the strength of that I'd say where having the wool pulled over our eyes with regard to car insurance. Anyway thanks go to Andi for recommending Brentacre.

Look closely at the wing damage, you can see how hard the impact was, you can almost read the wing

Bad luck mate, know what your feeling, had a rear ender couple of weeks back myself.

Welcome to the forum. Interesting choice of username.........yes you will need some WONGA now that you own a Corrado.

Supercharged, There was evidence of a leak and I have cleaned the contacts several times.

VAG-COM = Power supply fault, everything thoroughly tested by by Auto-elec, put down to a faulty ABS controller. Since the car has been garaged overnight I've had the light on and off intermittently. Has settled now to coming on, drive for a while, turn engine off, restart and the light goes out. Might be a bad connection on the ABS controller.

Is the water on the passenger side near the footwell? If yes, then it's most likely to be coming thru the air inlet duct seal on the scuttle panel. I had this problem until I changed the seal. Was about £3.50 from VAG and easy enough to change. I almost did a seal change guide but remembered after I'd done it.

Good luck with the ABS, mines been a problem for months and cost be a couple hundred quid and it's still not sorted.

If the whole handle pivots then it would suggest something else it bust. Remove the securing screw and pull the handle out it see what's bust. The screw on the driver side are sometimes left hand thread.

If I were to supply them which I'm not, you'd use your existing gaitor. I replaced mine as it was imitation leather and worn out.

Polishing spindle mounted in a drill or similar with small buffing wheels.
-
andy665, sorry mate, only making just the one.
-
I'll go along with the above. Cheapo DIY bench grinders with buffing wheels are ok for smaller jobs but do get very hot after continued use. I buff stainless parts to a mirror finish but have access to a humungus polishing machine/wheels. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23132
