Not true, law states wheels and tyres must be in good condition and not foul the bodywork. True - according to this http://www.nicenewcar.co.uk/parts/part-1617.html http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/htmlpages/TechWheels.htm
-
AFAIK the law is 'wheels should not protrude beyond the wheel arch'.

Is that a flower pot fitted to your rear suspension?? How much of an improvement did it provide? Do bigger pots make bigger improvements? -
Riley, looks good mate. I met a bloke at a recent ClubGTI meet who blacked his using a permanent marker pen. Looked ok but dunno if it would last as he'd only just done it.

Yesterday about 4.15pm, meadow lane, VR, I think the colour is Sherry. Waved and flashed at you and got a wave back, could have been M.P.H on here.

I had a Vectra and that dropped into 'safety mode' occasionally and when they do they don't rev over 4k if I remember correctly. Don't know about the 10mph thing tho.

Curbed an alloy :x :x

Probably getting past the fan inlet duct seal. Get it fixed quick as water drips on to the ABS controller connector. The seals are about £3 from the stealer.

He means non-standard alloys you need to declare.

No, linkage on the gearbox.

stanbates, When I had selecting problems there was a nut on the gearbox linkage that had come loose. I re-adjusted, tightened and all was ok. The nut in question is at the top of the linkage. Worth a look.

corradowales, Just take your time to find the right one. What are you looking at next?

If you do alot of town driving up and down the gears then you might benefit. I had an auto before my C and still do the same route to/from work and do get a bit fed up with gear changes. The auto was much more stress free.

Ok thanks chaps. Do I need a pair of circlip pliers or can I get hold of it with a pair of grips? Cheers

Where's the best place to jack up the rear when adjusting the circlips on koni's. I usually jack up the rear under the axle but the axle needs to drop to adjust the circlips. Can I just use the scissor jack under the usual place inder the sill? Thanks for any help. D
