  1. Corrados in New Zealand....now THAT'S what I'm talking about. I believe those are the correct speaker sizes for the standard positions. However, you may be better off with a custom-made door pod (similar to the ones available in the group buy on the forum recently), allowing a larger speaker up front, with a tweeter mounted in the dashboard speaker hole. Amps are no bother to fit. You'll need to run RCA leads and a remote turn-on lead from the stereo to the boot (if that's where the amp is going), a suitably-rated and fused power cable from the battery to the boot and speaker cables to the speakers you wish to drive from the amp. You'll also need an earth cable, which can either run straight from the battery (my preference) or you can earth the amp to the metalwork in the boot.
  2. No idea what the wheels are worth...but damn that's a good looking car.
  3. I refurb'ed one of the skanky 16s I bought off my mate to get an idea of the finish. Crap pic but you get the idea I'm sure!
  4. Wolfsburg Edition? Purrrrleeeaaassseeeee. Nice looking car by the way!

    Spraying bumpers

How much is that in metric, mate - we use litres here! One quart = one quarter of an imperial gallon = two pints = 1.1365225 imperial (UK) litres.....apparently
  6. I assume they're talking about Nurburgring lap times. 5:26 is very very fast.
  7. The alternator on my 1.8 16v is very weak. Once the battery starts to get a little tired it affects the way the car runs drastically....for about a day until it's too flat to start the car. I really should sort that.
  8. Was that me? Did I break it? Do I win a prize?
  9. This is how I graduated from the School of Information Systems at the University of East Anglia in 2003. I never expected to get a first and I made a deal with a mate that if I did then I'd cross the stage with a mohican - that was the point I had to start growing my hair just in case. It was a sweet day. The mohican itself is a little curled over, and generally a bit messy, since this picture was taken after the offending hair-do was crammed under the mortar-board hat for the 'professional' photo. I can't remember why I didn't re-bleach the roots, but clearly I didn't. Oh yeah, I've lost two stone since then so my face isn't as fat anymore!
  10. Wow....wanna borrow my Corrado for a couple of months? The catch is you have to give it back THAT clean. Stunning...simply stunning.
  11. I spent a fair amount of time behind the 'wheel of my mate's G-plate, 34k mile, Mk.1 MR2. From what I can remember of it, it was slow, uninspiring and didn't handle particularly well - especially in the wet. It was complete arse and a waste of good fuel. I have no experience of the G60 what-so-ever so can't comment on them.
  12. You'd have to be nuts to put PTFE tape anywhere near the oil system IMO.
  13. I've just started refurbishing a set of 10-spoke 16'' wheels for my Corrado. They're going to be finished in black since your Black Corrado looked so cool. What's under the hood of that Golf by the way?
  14. A mate of mine had a 15'' set of these on an H-plate Golf GTi about eight years ago. They looked superb on the Golf and, by the look of the photoshop job, superb on the Corrado too. How much is cheap by the way?
  15. Some bloke was ranting at me and shaking his fist from the side of the road when I trundled past him on my bike yesterday....at 32mph. I bet he's one of those tree huggers - let's get 'em all. I also maintain that he is directly accountable for the 90mph wheelie that followed his little display.
  16. It costs so much as they need to cover the costs of developing the software in the first place.
  17. That black Subaru Impreza with the grey/silver graphics is soooo nice.
  18. Not all that well in the standard 16v form.
  19. Snot-tastic....although hiding amongst the more sensible cars that appeared for the same show is this: and, surprisingly since it's Tokyo, this:
  20. I had my Corrado for over a year before I had the tracking checked. It was an absolute mile out and adjustment transformed the vague feeling the steering always had.
