Well with Woburn nearly on us I finally got around to breaking out the Swissol kit and giving the VR a good going over yesterday from wash, thro' clay bar to wax. What a difference. Many thanks John, I am totally impressed. Trouble is, how can I drive it without it getting dirty again?
-
ok, look forward to seeing ya
-
Hi dazzy, agree with stormseeker more likely to be a top end job. You coming to Woburn or taking it to bits then?
-
Yes, it is poss for air to get in the clutch system if the m/cyl level is low enough. Need two to bleed it. Open the slave nipple (don't you just love that word) push clutch pedal down (it will stay there of its own accord), close the nipple, pull pedal back up. Repeat as reqd.

thought for a moment you were fitting a 'paddle change' wheel

Not 100% sure I understand what you are asking, as far as I know all models have two lamps in the centre of the headlining, the smaller (map light) on pass side and larger (main light) on drivers side. On both, the lens cover just pulls down out of the lining to give access to the lamps. Though if memory serves me rightly, I think the lamp in the main light might be obscured (from removal) slightly by the printed circuit board. hth, if not come back

Darren, Well, tomorrow's the 1st of August. Can I be the first to wish G-werks a very happy (official) birthday.
-
Well its just like Tony used to say - They're GRRRRRREAT And the new suspension makes the VR handle so much better mmmmmmmmmmm nice!
-
Yes, could be interested in a pair. Would one size fit all models?
-
Crazy Man, guess you don't really mean the fan belt (since that is just a drive link to the second cooling blade) but one of the engine driven ones? Sounds daft, but has it got something stuck on its driven surface and you can hear it as it passes over a pulley - bit like when a stone is stuck in the tyre tread?
-
muly, from what you say about the alarm closing the windows/roof about an inch I would have said that the alarm was not 'holding' the control voltage long enough, but the key op casts doubt on that. When you used the key did you keep it held in the back position or just clicked it back and forward? There seems to be a variety of wiring on the C, but on some (if not all) you have to hold the key back all the time the windows are closing, if not they stop. Might shed a bit more light on where the problem might be.

done anything to the suspension? - tyre fouling the arch? can't think of much else off top of my head if its 'rubbery'

Arrow3 VR6. Hello chap. What u driving, is that 3xVR6?
-
how much u want for it Kev? Can't be worth much as it's so slow :D :D
-
Hiya Alex. See it always pays to be polite and listen to yer mum :)
-
ABS on a 16V? Was it fitted on later models? Anyway, plenty of threads here on this, but try what Joe suggests, if no joy its more than likely a front sensor failed.
-
Mike, I can't believe the braindead could be braindead enough to do that. Just glad to hear u are ok, & the vr not totalled.
