  1. Looking at the site, I would say the RS pads are racing ones, but they also do Fast road ones, which are not RS. So only one type of fast road.
  2. Have you noticed much inprovement over the 1800?
  3. Blinky16v, No thanks, have a chip specialy programmed for the 9A by Bosch in mine  Maybe you need another eco-tek, I have one sat in my tool box, which you can have for a small fee. If you fit two, you could make 218.1bhp.
  4. You need to lower the sub frame away from the body a little to get the clearance to fit them. It was a couple of years ago when I did mine, but I think I loosened the bolts enough to give me the space required.
  5. Stick with body colour, otherwise it will look like you colour changed it and need to do the engine bay
  6. Yes they do, at around £40+VAT each. I managed to buy a pair of brand new ones from TVR for £70 inclusive, so that may be worth a go.
  7. Ah sorry, should have explained better, you need to remove it to make the adjustment, then re-fit it. The Charles Probst book is good, I agree. I have a technical book from Bosch about K-Jet, its only about 15 pages long, but gives a good explanation of how it works. Would love to get hold a copy for KE-Motronic.
  8. Maybe there is another 10-20bhp lurking in there somewhere just waiting to be unleased. If you do put it on the rollers with the standard chip I will be very interested to know how it copes with your setup, if I thought there would be a reasonable gain I'd probably get mine re-mapped.
  9. bcstudent, You seem pretty knowledgable about KE-Motronic, and yet have an ealier model! I was chatting with Race Power Motorsport, and the bloke there was suggesting you can tweak the fuel pressure to do the equivalent of a WUR mod by removing the differential pressure regulator (If I remember correctly) and removing a screw which then uncovers a grub screw. He suggested a slight adjustment of this may give an increase in performance. I had a little play with it but saw no change, so I put it back to it's original position. Have you ever heard of doing this? Info on tuning this injection is very thin on the ground, but I'l like to understand it better.
  10. Blinky16v, To answer your question about the KR inlet cam earlier in the thread, at first I really did not notice any change in performance, bit seemed to take a few days, but over that time it appeared to gradually get quicker. There was not a huge difference to be honnest, the main change was that it pulled more vigorously at high revs and will pull hard to the rev limiter. None of the mods I have done have made a anything more than a subtle improvement, but they obviously work considering it made 162 BHP on the rollers. Regarding differences between the read outs, Crazymarcel on here had a lower horsepower figure at the Advantage rolling road day than he had previously got at Stealth, however his quoted torque was slightly higher. Assuming the same differenced apply and stealths rollers read out is still as before, I'd expect to see around 165 peak bhp from mine. If it was me, I would go back to the standard chip, check valve timing and ignition timing and set up the differential regulator current as BC Student suggested.
  11. The ECU does control fuelling on Ke-Motronic as fitted to 9As, hence the lambda sensor!
  12. I'd stick with the Vette rims, they are slightly understaded, but flashy enough to compliment the car. I've not seen another Corrado with them, although I've seen them in a pic on a Mk4 Golf , so they are pretty unique too. It's good to see a show winning car which is made to be a practical fast everyday car.
  13. I've always been into Porsches. When I was a kid I had a brown matchbox 911 Turbo which I still have somewhere! Since then it has been my ultimate car really. The Porsche in Bad boys is probably my ultimate 911. Also used to really want a 959, like thats gonna happen!
  14. I did a Porsche track day, unfortunately it was in 924s, it was still great fun and a good learnng experience though. It is well worth doing a Rally driving experience too. I did that at Brands Hatch, and absolutely loved it.
  15. Black would be my favourite colour too. This would be my choice when upgrading from the 968.
  16. If you have to save money, see if they can blow in the tops of the wings to the fold in the wing. The change in angle will disguise the colour a little, but to be honest unless the colour match is really good, your better off having the wings blown in properly. Do it once and do it right, rather do half a job, send six months being unhappy with it, and ending up getting the bonnet and wings sprayed again.
  17. biggerbigneil, Yep, the Porsche 968 seems like a natural progression to the Corrado to me, then progress to a 911 (964)
  18. h100vw, I had an X reg Cupra - great car, fast, refined, safe handling with a lot of grip, just a bit dull compared to a Corrado when you want to have some fun. Always had a soft spot for these! Porsche 968 Club Sport 1994 L-registration Speed Yellow Club sport yellow-backed seats 76,000 miles Cambelts just changed Driver Airbag Alpine CD £12,995 http://www.eporsch.co.uk/0101for_sale.htm
  19. I'd go for a Leon Cupra R over a TT, almost the same car underneath, same engine, more agressive looks, more practical, less of an image issue (if that worries you) and I would expect you'd get one for less than the TT too.
  20. HVB G60, Interesting, that kind of puts me off the H&R ones.
  21. Well I like my std rear lights. My aim is to update it a little, I have colour coded door handles and no rubbing strips. The other focus is to make it a good fast road car. Which mine is.
  22. Private roads and my private race track of course.
  23. My thoughts exactly, but having not seen an adaptor untill Yoda's post, I was a little concerned. Hopefully they will be fine at higher speeds than 70mph.
  24. Excellent, that was my main concern, did not really fancy the idea of my wheel bolts going into an ali thread.
  25. Mine too, some days it feels really quick and smooth others, it feels rough and gutless.
