Got to love an easy fix. At least it Is sorted
-
You've been missed mate
-
I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Like the rest of us. Shame really as I need to order some replacement screws and dont seem to get round to it..... Damn it is quiet on here. Zzzzzz
-
Still looks a great car. GLWS Are you putting her up on Pistonheads / Autotrader and places? Widen the audience, She will sell herself. Unfortunately for us we lose a forum member π

Did the nearside as this was the fail side and checked the other side which doesnt move at all. I dont think I will be coming here again. They were keen to keep it and fix it the next day. .. I remember when decent garages would mark the faulty items, that says a lot.

Took Karmann for her MOT yesterday and she FAILED!! On suspension arm to ball joint dangerously loose.... so I took her back home, jacked her up and wheel off, nothing obvious when shaking things. Nothing obvious when I got the socket set on it. I had to get my breaker bar out just to move the 3 nuts on the ball joint and the two on the suspension leg. So disappointingly I've brought it back for a retest without actually finding a fault. Watch this space

Same here. Great quality and perfect fit πππ

Well I enjoyed watching that. Great rags to riches, well done in having a great looking motor ππ

Used the Corrado for a 90 mile trip today. Damn I enjoy it Running happily and her MOT booked for Monday. Must get the tracking checked since I changed with the driveshaft, then I can fit a different steering wheel... watch this space. I hope everyone is getting to enjoy their cars

Cheap as chips, thanks. My brain vwss fuddled in what to search for !!!!π€£π€£ πI have a crimper
-
I am after the connectors attached to the loom for the power etc, and the speaker connections. If anyone has some they can cut out, give me a shout please Or point me in the right direction π
-
Genuine vw tank straps.I have just removed a set of fuel tank straps from a mk2 golf. I believe they will fit the earlier Corrado, so please check. Β£5 . plus postage They need a clean and paint but you could get these done whilst yours are still on the car

Can't be many autos left on the road now. I do find driving with gears is a more enjoyable experience, even though modern cars are going the other way with DSG etc Did you need a new ecu for the non auto box and that sort the idling issue?
-
An easy fix is always nice π
-
Definitely needs both ports blanking off. Its vacuum. Normally has a small plastic cap on each one
-
Miltek supersprint or any of the top brands... VW Heritage? Or any aftermarket exhaust place that builds up what you want

Car looks great ππ

Nice looking motor πwelcome to the greatest Corrado forum π Tell us about your car
-
So do I, know that it works. π Dont blame me The GF told me to buy it!! I said the end of the number plate is perfect for her , DYM (dim) π€£π€£ It is keeping me busy de-rusting at a back arch for now. Polished p-slots did look great. I am unsure whether to keep these as it is all original , hmm Still not as nice as a Corrado
-
It is definitely the rear wash wipe π and is still their. If the rust is bad I will sort a repair, but it surface for now. But it does need welding at its lower rear arch points, nothing major π±

A very early one. Surprisingly the bodywork isn't too bad, yet.... only the petrol cap uses a different key. No leccy windows or central locking but plenty of electrical issues, the challenge I like. Hopefully I can get it running but for now the intank pump and relay are faulty. Lots of missing trim and the early interior is baaad π€ͺπ€£π€£π
-
ππ€£ I may be quieter on her for a little while, as I have got another project. Like others, a mk2 early Golf Gti ridiculous purchase that does not run!! Atleast the Corrado did when I first got her. It's nice( no it isnt), but it certainly isnt as gorgeous as Karmann who has the garage space and will NOT be giving it up. But this wont stop me from using or spoiling Karmann, the Corrado is a childhood dream. She will always need constant attention. π

Mate, your shiny painted collection looks amazing. It will be a shame to have a bonnet on and shutting that lot away. There is a huge amount of time and effort going into your project. Fantastic

Well the wheel bearing looks correct in the hub as the the circlip fits in the groove, so that can not be wrong Which leads me to the ABS ring not sitting in far enough
