I purchased a Briggs & Stratton version for the petrol which i use in my lawnmower and hedgecutters etc.. And because the corrado is stuck in the garage I wondered what to use. I have read that it is better to keep the tank full but surely that would mean more ethanol = more water = BAD... As I too let mine warm up every week I now need some fuel in her. I may just try some in a 5 litre can and see how the car is. I will have a look at the BG products Sean, especially if you havent noticed a difference

Not going to let today be an empty one for the Forum. I realised I have very little fuel in Karmann and even though I am not using her, I dont want this awful ethanol shite upsetting things. I've always used the posh super juice but now even that has ethanol. Hopefully I last filled up before all of this started My question is ' Does anyone use any of the fuel additive products'? I have just bought some to stabilise the fuel that I have for 2 stroke tools which is supposed to give it a longer shelf life

Love it π»

What sort of post is that ..... πππ it won't go unnoticed

There are little metal spring clips that hold the switch securely in the door. They dont effect it's working just its fit.

I had some heavily rusted bolts and thought I had nothing to lose in trying the electrolysis method. What a God damn miracle cure that is and only needs a battery charger and simple items. Well worth a go as it rejuvenated my bolts recently. I then treated and them, but am toying with the idea of home plating Saved a fortune, but new is always nice

Sorry I cant help. Wish I could. We need more G60 input on here. Good luck. Can you get the part number off a free Etka and then google images it.

What a great forum where people offer help. So, early switches from g0ldf1ng3r or a late one from me that I found. Although I would definitely try what Dox has suggested. And popping the switch apart to clean the contacts isnt as tricky as you think. Or send it me and I will do it. If a late switch, the annoying metal spring clips are available from another member that contacted me on here. Not cheap but you can't get them anywhere else

I like the easy ones. If you ever find the brake reservoir Sean, get 2 mate..... mine needs to look nice too

As a Corrado owner I take the rough with the smooth. The bloody lower cowling trim at the steering wheel didnt fit π‘ but swapping my power steering reservoir for a lovely clean version went smoothly. I removed the fluid using a trigger spray from a household bottle and sprayed it into another bottle. Created a mess free swap that did not take long at all. Nice to end on a high

Finally, after many months of having the new replacement lower steering cover I thought I would take 10 minutes to fit it. 9 minutes to find the screws so plenty of time to still screw it together. What the..... I just could not get the ignition side to pull together!! After much swearing over 3 screws I took the top off to put them together and I found the issue 535 953 516c being the old one has the RH screw part set back about 8mm as the top screw part sits past the cover by this amount. Maybe I should have just cut the top part down but didnt like the idea of the screw not having much to go into. But being annoyed I cut the new lower section part down and now have to recreate something that stops the screw from going straight through. Not happy VW.......π€¬π€¬π€¬ I definitely have the wrong part as ends in A .. π‘

Unless you are good with a multimeter in checking for voltage at the switch connecor 1st and linking across to see if that makes something click/work

Definitely worth getting the door card off again. I will have a look and see if I have a spare switch which I could send you to try

Again: Fuel system electric issues. New relay but fail again.

Join them then. First just do it using screw connector blocks to see if all is okay before doing a proper solder and heat shrink permanant fix π -

I thought red yellow was a switched live off the top of my head. I wouldn't merge the 2 sides together unless they were of the same size and colourings, that would be asking for trouble. Have you found the main alarm and work back from that Do you have a Bentley manual with the wiring diagrams In? -
All lovely, I'm not too jealous. Be nice to put it on a track or a rolling road. But you have got to change the oil sump and bolts for shiny ones too π

Something needs to change. If we standstill we die and unfortunately this forum is not getting any busier. Where as CCGB seem to be busy yet we thought they were on their arse a couple of years ago. I am not of an age to put my life into Facebook but I am aware previous members have departed to the ccgb This site has such a wealth of knowledge and that needs to be kept no matter what for me. So I am grateful for Toby in keeping this site going, as he isn't making money from us. We have positives and negatives from keyos suggestion. The Positive :- we get access to the parts and there are rules in place. Also I'm not a moderator so don't have to deal with picking dummies up if things aren't happy π The Negative:- some sellers may take the piss, so we have a choice not to buy from them. Maybe this is all irrelevant as it is Toby's site. Whilst I still have my Corrado, like others, i would very much like this site to flourish and prosper. We all want the same

Sounds good to me. As stated, a little common sense and discretion needed. We need more traffic here and that is a good start. Gets my thumbs up (which counts for nothing actually) π€£π€£

I'm no magpie, but they do look nice and shiny πfantastic results
-
Ooo that is a good looking underside π€© Atleast you know it is in a great condition, well done π

Definitely check the cold start valve. I have an 8 valve that wouldn't start and this was my issue.
-
Can anyone recommend a spray for brake discs as a protection whilst they aren't being used
-
No worries. A Corrado is for life, not just for Xmas πππ
-
I'm sure they will. If not, shout up and I will sort it for you π
