Managed to fit the nearside bearing. Unfortunately I have some rust on the CV joint to deal with, but it is one step closer Always nice to have shiny and painted parts

I can have a look in the Bentley manual tomorrow night, unless some chips in before then

Glad it wasnt just me that thought that.... Although in my defense I had changed the mk2 golf a couple of months ago which had the 2 circlips. But Bentley and the FAG supplied parts suggested 1, which all went together fine. If anyone wants 2 vr6 hubs that have only done a couple of thousand miles, they are Free..... just pay the postage. They still have the inner race on them though 😂😇 I was too idle and have bought new

Managed to get the hub nut done. I must have been feeling strong as I got to 200nm easier than I thought. That side is on the floor and it is the passenger sides turn. All off and stripped back. Powder coating removed and sitting in some rust remover. Surprisingly the passenger side hub wasn't as bad for corrosion, yet anything bolted to it was far worse than the drivers side. This will get sorted. I also need to get the tyres on this side resealed as the go flat every 3 months And lastly..... I finally realised that I have the wrong wheel nuts on my car. I have tapered which I kept from the old alloys I had. Maybe my wheel bearings were fine 😳🤣🤣 Radius on order .

It's always nice to hear how it is going. And having the balls to say when you aren't happy with it 👍

Turns out it's a 30mm 12 pointed nut!! Damn

👍 good find -
Never had a Clifford system but they were always regarded as one of the best. Have you charged the battery lately? Every Corrado loves a fully charged battery? Sorry that I don't know about these..

I asked this switch question a long time ago the answers I got were that it didnt really matter. The aircon switches always seemed to all be located at the bottom.... If you had heated seats then this became an issue of where to put them and have aircon..... These seemed to be moved to the ABS switch top location as the aircon switch loom would not reach up here. The ABS could move across to the RHS of the steering wheel but with a change to a smaller one. Maybe kept the original with a cut and shut!! I found this issue out when I had the Recaro heated seat pads fitted to my cloth seats.... God knows why I did it, just a challenge. In all honesty I suppose put what you want, where you want. I may dig out the Diavia manual to see what that picture is. Anyway, here is my set up

I was going on this info, so think I have to go 200 first as I have put a new hub on too..
-
🤣🤣 Thanks for the offer. Its took me 2 months to do this one though.... !!

I didn't have anywhere to fit the mk3 switch, so I moved the ABS switch over to a blank on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Needed to be a smaller one but easily extended the wires. Perhaps a lot of hassle but I like an electrical challenge.

They are Corrado Recaro electric seats 👍

Fla, to remove the heater matrix part there are two nuts engine side. One down by the heat shields of the exhaust and the other if I remember correctly is near all of the wiper mechanism. Needs a 10mm socket. One normally is easy, the other is a swine due to the heat and corrosion and it just spins the threaded screw that is in the plastic the other side Normally just clips hold the airbox unit to this, but the Frankenstein aircon model of mine was hanging!!

Managed to get one wheel bearing done and back on. Unfortunately the 12 point nut needs a 34mm socket, which I dont have, so waiting for a delivery b4 i torque it up. Looks ok after a paint job Question... Do I still need to torque this to 200nm and back it ofg, then 50nm and 45° as it is a new hub? Hmmm

Absolutely 100% great advice Dox 👍. For some reason I don't receive notifications from this and this next page malarkey that doesn't work is still a bloody pain.

This is the mk3 golf switch. Illuminates as it should with lights on and when in use. Not dug out the paperwork yet for the wiring. I did find there were 2 different switches and only one worked correctly!

I have pictures and labelled what colours go where. Between nights this weekend and doing the corrado wheel bearing but will find it all out👍

I'll keep an eye out for one 👍

We need to have a conversation over this. Be easier to see what you have and I can explain what goes where. I do have the wiring diagrams sonewhere but if non of yours cut, all will be good. I can send you some pics too. I changed every single part of mine and even made up a loom to use mk3 golf switches as they fit better and look more original. I do have a switch that goes above the cigarette lighter but they do NOT fitt a RHD car. When you get the front end off and probably replace the condensor which is a standard Harrison part, the actual hose connection is incorrect and runs this....from standard too. And fortunately the drier is a standard part which needs replacing every couple of years anyway. The pressure switch on this was still available from Webasto. Christ doing this consumed my life, BUT working aircon in a Corrado is beautiful. Deep pockets time ££££ Fla, the flap should close when the recircling button is pressed. The fans run all of the time the aircon is on. Always keeps the car temp down too.

Mine was riveted and glued. I had to cut down the sides with a Stanley blade and drill the rivets out 😳
-
Ooo the aircon heater box.... I have plenty of pictures of that damned thing opened up. And alot of debris gets caught in there too. I made the decision to replace the aircon matrix at the time and Hell that was a journey.... for something that is obsolete. Good luck with what you decide, but happy to give the info of what I used to replace mine 😫👍

👍 Thanks for that. Reassurance is always good

I had seen that too...that's why it is so bloody confusing. Yet 1 circlip being supplied by FAG and that Bentley picture is enough to convince me
