  1. After reading this German corrado forum looks like the trumpet screw part numbers early and late are actually the same part. So fingers crossed. https://www.vwcorrado.de/forum/archive/index.php/t-120271.html Ok good news on the the description here says it fits. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-UR-QUATTRO-TURBO-COUPE-80-90-COUPE-B2-BONNET-CABLE-END-CLAMP-811823555-/264511066887
  2. It is an early corrado part number that was superseded in 1991 and the lock rod unlocking loop was also superseded so 50/50 if it fits , the original part numbers were quattros so maybe as the Quattro parts were been made obsolete they updated the part numbers to a Corrado. I will update as soon as I have compared them.
  3. Right the obsolete screw trumpet. Just purchased this off ebay, half the price then others on the market(that includes postage)Just under £20.00 Looks correct like the corrado one, off an Audi Quattro UR part number. 811823555 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-ur-quattro-coupe-nipple-sleeve-811823555/223633703911?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 Once I have received it I will update this thread, it's down to the end circumference of the trumpet end that stops it pulling through the metal loop. You can also purchase it from Germany from Audi Tradition(equivalent of VW classics) might be cheaper its 8.21 euro + postage. Or your local audi might be able to source it for you. https://trshop.audi.de/konakart/ShowCartItems.do
  4. They dio remake the screw trumpet a few years back for about £7.00 from classics and the other guide trumpet was obsolete at the time, now it has reversed which is available , they like to warp our minds.
  5. Might well do Si, Im just quizzing him at the moment to make sure they are built exactly to the same specification as the part number and not just fit the VW Iltis. He has all ready told me they fit a lot of different cars from the VAG range and has sold a fair few to Audi owners. .
  6. This locking trumpet definitely works on a Rado Si as this is constructed in a different way then the OE Corrado trumpet with the screw ? The other side the guide trumpet is the same part number for the Scirocco and Rado Si so shared the same part and I believe they have been obsolete for some time so good to see they are available at an affordable cost.
  7. Yes Si I have ordered a couple it is an English chap who is based in Belgium and specialises in VW military vehicles , the lengths we go to source spares ha . its 60 Euro for x2 sets including postage. They also sell the parts separate to make up the kit.
  8. Nice one SI I couldnt stomach the silly money sellers are asking for these with £15-20 shipping to add. :smug:
  9. All you have to do Delfins is. Call heritage tell them you would like to order a classics part from Germany and communicate the part numbers. It will cost you about £3.50 if its just a small order. The reason for it been a cheaper delivery then direct from Classics is that they bulk order the parts and ship them over in roughly 6 weeks intervals, so expect to wait up to 6 weeks. If anyone is not aware there is a classics search facility on their website, just click the classics emblem on the bottom left drop down field, however be warned I have seen parts available on classics in Germany that do not show there and have had to inform the Heritage staff member that ii is available and to add it on even though they have told me it is not available. So do a part search on the classics site as a cross reference.
  10. Depends what colours the black ones are still available from Classics for left and right. 01c last numbers mean saturn black. Number 3 on their diagram. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/verkleidung-98e1da.html https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/verkleidung-c4fccc.html
  11. Also guys think I have found a new source for the bonnet lock pin set. Part number 431898550 which are obsolete. They look correct anyway and have the part number listed, good price as well. https://www.iltisshop.be/bodywork/bonnet-lock-complete-set-new
  12. Am I correct in saying that the only difference is on the other trumpet that is has a thread in it ? Is it worth not buying some and getting a thred put in the other one .
  13. Hi Guys, Are these trumpets that are rare and was only from Phoenix engineering? Are these them think they have been remade by classics for a fair price ? Looks like the trumpet with the screw is still not available though on the other side. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/hulse-c51beb.html

Not rubbing it in as I own both a rado and golf Mk2 but look how many seals they do for a Mk2 golf and cost of the seals. Seems like the Corrado is getting a bad deal from the Heritage world. https://www.vwheritage.com/mk2-golf/mk2-golf-seals-&-rubber

Hi ray, Welcome back to the Corrado. If you really need a set AMOS will have some used ones but will not be cheap as a rare part these days. As Cressa has mentioned we are hoping for them to be remanufactured but that may not happen or could bea year or so away. Might be worth you checking out the car for a couple of weeks and working out what is missing or broken, and then have a drive down there. https://www.amosmotors.co.uk/vw-corrado

  18. Nice one delfins you have put my shopping list together
  19. So you have to use a T piece to make these work correctly ? Thanks
  20. There is also another VDO part number knocking about with a lower warning pressure I think. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VDO-Engine-Oil-Pressure-Sensor-Sender-145PSI-360-081-030-009C-/162960001382 hmmmm decisions decisions ! 21. So thanks to Dox I was thinking about getting this off Heritage with latebay discount of 10%. https://www.vwheritage.com/v360023-vdo-oil-pressure-sender-150psi-2-pin-with-warning-light-m10-x-1-vw-spare
  22. Thanks Dox that looks extremely hopeful and a good quality brand, may I ask do you know the correct psi/bar for the low warning in a VR6. it mentions this on the description. (Warning light operates at a higher psi than a standard switch) Cheers.
  23. Ok thanks Dox this would be the text book method of fitting as in regards to the OE diagram with use of a 1 pin sender. However Im not forking out £144 for a bloomin sender it is outrageous. Have been refunded for the substandard FAE sender. Going down the two pin route. Thanks.
  24. I have spoke to Vince and although the 1 pin is the correct method in regards to the part diagram he always fits them with the 2 pin for ease of fitting. Also I was not paying £144 for a OE 1 pin sensor and after mentioning I had purchased a FAE Vince said junk so I have just got that refunded. So if anyone can help. What I know so far Needs to be 0- 10 bar Thread needs to be M10x1 I want it to be a VDO sender or Vag What I need to find out. Part number for plug that fits in the back of VDO pod, have heard it is the same for a late sunroof plug loom ? What is the low pressures warning(buzzer) PSI on a VR6 as they have different psi ones for these senders. It would be great if someone had a part number that fitted the correct above ??? Thanks in advance.
