  1. That's good to know Sean I just checked the new springs that I didn't use and they are ending with 3002HA so made the right decision not fitting them. Thanks.
  2. Merry Xmas everyone im going to the shop to get a loaf of bread in the Rado ha !!
  3. Ok Im glad to report my photos are now showing. The spring comparison can be seen on link below. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?109949-Black-magic-returns-home/page2&highlight=black+magic+eibach
  4. If you search Black magic returns home its on there also. I even put some pictures up to compare the rear H and R springs I took off the car with the new Eibach ones, the eibach where considerably shorter, but this site deleted all the pictures on my thread. Like P I had Eibach send me out some springs - I still have the new original springs that were incorrect and the H and R springs I took off for comparison.

Yes you would have to buy the VDO gauges that are black to make it stock, none the less a rare item. The newer POD models look so much better though !!!

Interesting this is a VW original OE RHD extremely rare pod cluster that fits early cars. The gauges are not original but good quality. The battery gauge has been swapped out for a boost gauge so ideal for an early car with turbo upgrade. I think Sprinter had made some for reproduction ones for LHD but not RHD so extremely rare part. Pod is Number 7 on diagram http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single...4/lang/e#sec_7 You can still buy the two missing bungs from classics Part number 535867842A 4FB https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts...en-dd06a7.html Pod and gauges https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Corrad...97.m4902.l9144 Good buy for someone with an early car with a turbo or someone willing to put a battery gauge back in how it came from factory. You can still get the original VDO gauges in regards to the part numbers . So would be a complete stock unit. No 22 + 23 on diagram. http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single.../lang/e#sec_23 Battery Part number 321919531A https://www.justkampers.com/321-919-...olt-range.html Oil part number 155919551 https://www.justkampers.com/155-919-...bar-range.html I would be all over this if I had an early model as truly rare !!!
  7. This look interesting. Also a fair few late door handles for sale on ebay second hand. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Passat-Door-Handle-Conversion-without-lock-VW-Corrado-G60-VR6-16V-2L-NEW/170590691722?hash=item27b7ff618a:g:PF8AAOxy79JRf0YC

Basically all you need to do is remove ashtray from housing. Then the ashtray housing has a couple of screws at the back -remove them. Then pull housing out and in the top is the bulb housing and just clicks out.

Anyone know what the bonnet fillers are ? I was thinking an intermediate damper when the bonnet shuts ot something to do with water draining down the internal wing water channel/control that runs in line with the bonnet.

I think some countries had it stock as I have seen a bulb in the rear ashtray on diagrams.

No worries mate if you click on the classics link above on previous post you'll see a diagram on there showing where the bulb houses.

Front ashtray should be illuminated. If you take the ashtray out above where it houses there should be a white fitting that pops out, inside there should be a black fitting with a green bulb in. Bulb should look like this. Part number 357919243A K25 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VW-Bulb-Carrier-With-Bulb-Green-357919243A-K25-/333090821998 Cheapest place to buy is classics order through Heritage = these will be obsolete soon I imagine . https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/lampentrager-a9e128.html Reckon this will fit as well and is cheaper but without the green tint. Should be able to get from Skoda dealer as was using them well into 2010 in their models. Part number Skoda 357 919 243 D 85H https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/357919243d-ashtray-light-bulb-oe-8069.html

The heat seat switch illuminates as well you can still buy this one, mine had stopped illuminating. I see my rear ashtray has no illumination. You can still buy the bulb for the front ashtray its like a green bulb in a black housing. From what I can tell on a late model.. The late double drivers switch is obsolete + spoiler switch + late electric mirror switch. So I guess these are worth getting as spares. All the rest are available I believe not sure about the electric sunroof have never looked. Interesting enough the spoiler switch was also used in a T4 camper for some type of spoiler. Anyone know what are the purpose of these for ?? Bonett Fillers. No33 on diagram http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/823/subcategory/151000/part_id/0/lang/e#sec_33 https://www.vwheritage.com/191823713-filler-piece-for-the-bonnet-vw-spare I was down AMOS today and some of the obsolete items I purchased , 8 bonnet fillers- intake boot(elbow)- double window switch drivers and fan control uni, x2 seat tilt handles.

    MFA Display

I was hoping that was my problem but unfortunately it did not resolve it.

    MFA Display

Wish I had found it earlier I forked out £200 and something for a new binnacle circuit last year from Classics! From memory though they only had the Golf MK2 available when I looked so a new product on the market, think I might still buy one as have the old unit still so will be a good spare. My old one the first digit would only show half the number intermittently so I guess it was starting to fail.

Anyone got a failing MFA display screen ? Below link has the repair. Came across this company in Germany whilst looking for some gear cog wheel for my mechanical odometer on my Golf- just need to determine how many cogs it has I think 21. Here is the screen. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DISPLAY-FUR-VW-CORRADO-53I-PASSAT-35I-T4-MFA2-BORDCOMPUTER-KOMBIINSTRUMENT-VDO/173961555902?fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item2880eaafbe:g:8nUAAOSwPa9dpuXM
  18. Mines in for body work at the moment, the owner of the body shop has owned a MK2 golf for nearly 20 years and knows the cars backwards so was ideal for the job, another lad that works there owns a VR6 Blackberry with a Vortex supercharger giving out 320 BHP. My car has had a respray at some point and looks good, just had a scab on the rear water jet and needed some of the arch trims replacing- I decided to take all the arch trims, front and rear bumpers off and the sill trims for a full inspection. There are a few bits that need attending to , trims can hide a multiple of sins, also as mentioned the door hinges. Got all the bumper irons/brackets powder coated with new clips and bolts. After the body work just the headlining to do which I have a fibreglass panel and some replica OE headlining from Heritage, then restoration completed ! Has already been to Stealth for engine and undercarriage renovation, people don't realise Vince has a owned a couple of MK2 Golfs and has a soft spot for them - I was very happy that he complimented my golf as the best one he had driven in many years. The 4 doors are still available but the three doors are unfortunately obsolete. I have noticed compared to the Corrado world some of the sellers can be a little misleading and I have sent a few items back to sellers. There is a red 3dr been broken in Cornwall, cannot give the seller a reference as never done business with them . https://www.facebook.com/groups/1374372119443036/
  19. 100 percent best time of the year to buy a classics seen some right bargains for sale at the moment. Saw some BBS RM sell on Saturday for £500.00.
  20. Hi is the link working now chap or anyone else confirm ? Thanks https://photos.app.goo.gl/KofL9bRESGSeZJv47 Sure not long did my wind deflector . Took mine to the powder coaters to be dipped in saturn black, the black plastic clips on the end that houses the arms are an absolute bugger to get off and also obsolete , managed it in the end with chunks out my fingers missing ha. I went for Eibach and B4 Bilstein 20 mm lower, took off the headers and went for a brand new OE mani from classics as found the headers far to droney for me, almost gave me a headache (signs of becoming an old fart unfortunately). I really want a 911 again also but cant bring myself to sell the Rado as it's such a rare car, I went to Caffeine and Machine a couple of months back and the owner of the place got me to park it by the door and didn't charge me an entrance fee, proper car folks really do hold the car with high esteem and seemed to be more popular than any 911 on show there. The plus sides on the 911 320 bhp out the box and rear wheel drive, lots of other pluses to but the bills on these cars can be huge from my experience, sort of worth it though. What is wrong with your drivers door mate I just got my hinges re welded and new pins and hinges, all the doors for sale seemed to be in worse conditioned so was the best option at the time.
  21. How come you have never fixed the car ? I imagine it has pretty low mileage ?
  22. Congratulations good to hear the car has gone to a good home.
  23. Ah Ok didn't realise you was on an island . A certificate comes with the immobiliser when you order it off ebay and then the fitter who should be registered fills in the certificate so your ok you can buy your own immobiliser chap .
