Not sure it is USA spec but Is most certainly only for left hookers and were available in Europe , it is the Northern Ireland car that was for sale on here the last 12 months , now up for sale again . -

Look who is back on the market on mainland UK, I remember that interior. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201911134315965?advertising-location=at_cars&radius=1500&postcode=b736hg&make=VOLKSWAGEN&year-to=1995&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&sort=relevance&page=6&modal=photos -
£300 folks are hoping less half then that for a pair. Well I Am anyway! The roof gutters cost that much and are a lot more complex and larger. Think originally they were about a £100 for a pair ?
-
My instincts tell me if Classics remade the the roof gutters then they will make these as well, as mentioned though as long as we can provide evidence that they are in demand. A way forward with obsolete parts might be to contact classics then start a similar thread like Chris L did for these scrapers, as the thread in itself is evidence even better then a list of names , the link to the thread should be sent to to classics alongside the list of names IMO, also if you can get other countries with Corrado clubs and forums to run the same thread at the same time and then send the evidence of demand together to classics that will have some clout.

Yes mate in several places around the car there are slabs of wax including the battery tray, once it starts to break up I think it's best to remove it because the water gets trapped underneath the wax so causes more harm than good IMO.
-
Mate get her finished off and enjoy the car.otherwise you will not get the true cars value.

Sound mate I'm just trying to work if the part numbers designated with an A on the end are only suitable with cars that came with air conditioning , as the normal part number is very rare and the part with an A on the end is more available and would be handy if they do work with a normal set up. What I have worked out is the fan control unit (early) 1H0919506 does not have the two fuses inserted into the top, just the bar fuse. up to chassis F 50-R-000 001. I wonder if this unit is for early 2 stage fans for the VR6. This number also has an option with the same part number with an A on the end. (Late) 357919506 this is the late one for a 3 stage car from chassis F 50-R-000 001 , my 1995 VR has this fitted, it also comes with an option of an A on the end . It has two fuese inserted in to the top of the fan controller. This part number has been superseded 3A0919506 which you can still purchase from classics for a whopping £200.00 - this part also comes with a option with a part number with an A on the end. So I was just wondering are the part numbers designated with an A are only for air conditioning models. There are other part numbers out there for 9a and other models but Im just concentrating on the ABV (VR6) model.

Hi Cressa. Do you have to change out the fan controller unit if you have aircon ? Is it correct that the part number for a fan controller with aircom has A as the last digit/ For example late control fan unit part number 357919506 and there is part 357919506A, just trying to decipher the fan control part numbers. Number 25 on diagram variations. http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/937/subcategory/219015/part_id/0/lang/e#sec_25

Is it worth publishing the wiki in to a book for future protection .

What is the torque steer like chap with 310 ? I would be happy if I get a 220/230 BHP read out that's plenty for me as I like to rev out a car as much as I can hence Im a big VR fan also flat sixes, had a S550 GT Mustang that I had to sell but that back end was like butter, got her her up 480 BHP with a Borla sport and tune but was lethal on UK greasy roads, car was launching out from the back pulling half donuts without my permission, cant say it didn't put a smile on my face though although he was in someways not as usable as a VR.
-
Do you have a stock airbox ? That is very impressive figures and a lot of power for a light car compared to todays heavy lumps.
-
Good results there Spen, I also see you own a N reg Magic Black, I imagine our chassis numbers are pretty close. I've been told by my previous owner mine is supposingly running those figures, must admit though I reckon I will get her up to 230 bhp which will be the same as Mk7 GTI 7 P/P, got say though the golf would smash the Corrado at the moment and feels a lot stronger then 230 bhp, so would like to get the Rado up to those figures. Golf feels more like 270-80 BHP Im starting wonder If the first owner of the Golf had her tuned , purchased from BMW Sytner so have never chatted with the previous owner.
-
Think I'm going to treat my car next year to a complete rebuild with 3 litre bores and pistons to match , will put in some in 268 cams along side the existing Schrick, what do you think that will achieve 220 - 230 bhp perhaps? Maybe 2931 is what Vince refers to as his 3.0 (rounded off)cure to scored/OVULATED cylinders. Mine drinks approx 1 litre every 1000 miles, probably would be ok for another few years even more but I would like to see how she pulls with new larger internals.
-
Anyone had their cylinders bored out to 3 litres , what gains would you expect bhp?
-
Hi everyone, Stumbled across this company if anyone is thinking about making up some battery and oil gauges. You can choose your own colour for the Corrado screen https://moman.pl/en/home/942-2066-volkswagen-corrado-additional-indicators.html#/119-design-design_1/190-lighting_color-blue

My problem is the bloody drone they make. all most gives me headache , pretty much changes the whole character of the engine to the point where you couldn't even feel or listen if the engine is running smoothly, also as mentioned the potential heat damage to the engine bay and cabling.
-
Horrible things those headers IMO, just took one off my Golf MK2, it was brand new, the last owner fitted it, had to fork out £300 for a new OE Manii KR 16v from Classics in Germany. I would try and source a VR OE Mani second hand unit with the down pipe personally.
-
VDO gauges two a penny, such a shame they made them slanted the wrong way for RHD. :bonk:

Guys I have noticed this seller that I have used all ready is selling the VR6 VDO pump at a good price compared to sourcing elsewhere. VDO 4 bar pump E22-041-060Z https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Siemens-VDO-Fuel-Pump-fits-Volkswagen-Passat-2-8-VR6-1988-1997-E22-041-060Z-NEW/372757028248?epid=249319123&hash=item56ca0cdd98:g:jZIAAOSwW4ddboAh It says new old stock, I would email the seller and offer him £100 or less and say you can get it new still for £174.00 from Mister Auto. Also cheapest for the Bosch Manifold Temperature sensor https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Bosch-Temperature-Audi-MG-Rover-BMW-Porsche-VW-Sensor-0280130039-NEW/262035777918?fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item3d028ca97e:g:9zcAAOSwcF9UW3Qx

Why Heritage do not have these in stock, really should be ready available in the Uk, ship 50 over from Germany please Heritage.

What you might find is that there is more work to be done underneath, the drain holes are behind that area of the rocker covers , so you may well need the outer floor panels but at least they are available thanks to the Golf MK2.
