QWell done happy for you- is it me or are the tryes different sizes- you need to watch the tryes if she has been sitting long and they are old- probably flat spotted.
-
I fitted a stereo yesterday - this might help .
-
I heard someone mention they had one of these and it broke within a year. Is the spoonfed not the best option at Hermitage ?
-
Im sure with the coming years as the cars outlive the owners and are passed on to none corrado enthusiast some of these cars will suddenly appear on the market- I would have no real interest in them myself as I like to use mine and some of these will belong in a an automotive museum or a collecter that does not use them .
-
I just spoke to the service manager for the craic and he told me it is 100 percent true and too my shock told me from road up from me (1 min walk) there is another lady that has a corrado wrapped up in wool which I imagine means well looked after and has extremely low mileage VR and they have been servicing the car for 20 years - surprised she has never knocked my door for a chat. it only comes out for a service he reckons. He also gave me the name of a vag breaker in the Midlands area that does not advertise that had shed loads of rado parts he reckons . I will investigate further.
-
Yes for sure .
-
Just to add another story I have been told by the mobile smart repair I use- he reckons he has been to a retired previous company owner of a chain of retirement homes that had 8 or 10 Corrado all in low mileage in different colours and is obsessed by them- never uses them - also in the Midlands but he wont tell me anymore- these rare gems are still hiding in places I guess.
-
Yep that was it im just passing on the story I was told buy my local Vag service manager 40 year time served employee of VW - and his story about the lady owner from that car company off castle vale and how the car was wrapped and preserved and still sits there today just the way it arrived all those decades back. Think it must be that Maurice lady.
-
Thats it looks like the family moved up to Brum from London as one of the founding partners (the lady )company director address is in Birmingham - Ive been told they actually went to Germany to collect the car and it was basically the first one or two to be in the country. Ive never set eyes on the car but have have been told by a 40 year VW servicing manager the car exists and now the story has some evidence towards what he told me.
-
Itw what ever the company use be called at the current GSF carparts on the castle vale estate - think it was euro something (not euro cars )
-
He just hangs out there really his in his 60s - him and Vince go back a long way back from the Mk2 days when they was poppiing turbos on to them, Robins old Mk2 form back in the early 2000s had a vwms gear box and was running 200 bhp - he sold it to a young work colleague that write it off a week later- when he found out he rushed to the scrapyard to salvage the parts but by then the car was a cube unfortunately.
-
Looking forward to seeing a Rado Kamei in the flesh .
-
The two mechanics Conner and the other one normally pop up as my mate Robin has close connections there - he actually purchased the rolling road years back .
-
Yes it’s a goer mate - I’m coming up and my mates aqua blue - it’s not a large place so small numbers is ideal to be honest - you got your blackberry back now mate ? It’s really cool to see a few other cars there then vag . I dare say my mate has invited a. Couple of the lads from stealth - of course Mike brewer likes a cheese burger there so his normally about and volkswizard .
-
great early car ! I know of a Corrado that was a left hand drive g60 uk car and is white - it was one of the first here and is owned by a lady that family use to own gsf car parts that was called euro something at the time . The car was wrapped from new and placed in her garage that is on a multimillionaire estate in Sutton Coldfield - to this day the car is untouched with only 400 miles on the clock .
-
Will do mate have spacers on the car and 30 mm drop so will sit handsomely I hope.
-
Looking forward to getting these on the valver . x4 Michelin pilot sports for £270 went for 195 50 15 - great price for my favourite brand tyre . Only 1 weight on alloy for balancing - very straight for 30 year old alloys .
-
You should have a chip for the health of the engine chap as it can lead to pinking without one I have been told.
-
Its a shame when Vince fitted my schrick ecu chip he kept the D and G one I think it was from Oxfordshire way otherwise I would of sent it you for free as most likely set up for the schrick , he probably wanted to check it out but I know Vince's chip will be cutting edge and gave it me free so I aint complaining.
-
Good improvement but you should be getting up to 205 bhp na with a variable- excuse my ignorance in case I have lost something in translation of engine bhp or to the wheel.

Im only saying ask dealer so they are responsible- although many part staff I come across seem to be not very fluent at navigating etka or cross refrencing - same at Ford i have been known to take over their computer as I have been told they cant get something in the past because they have been to lazy to investigate and Order it in from TPS when I know for a fact its available. It does not bother them you made the effort to drive down there- I now use VW Straford Upon Avon not my local dealer in Birmingham because of this because the parts staff are well trained with a can do attitude. Its also worth trying audi, seat , skoda if the part is obsolete at VW because they do have different warehouses and have had success with picking up the last parts left from the other sister companies. Seat are the best group I have dealt with - the parts guy wont take money off me for bolts. If you click the icon next to part number on etka it shows you all the cars that the part number came on within the whole vag range. Also worth noting some parts are shared with Porsche (mainly bolts and plugs) and they have always been priced cheaper then vag group from my experience.

Thread here. https://forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/does-your-mk4-g60-flywheel-and-vr6-clutch-engage-too-closely-to-to-the-floor.141405/page-3 Everywhere I look says the c number is compatible . Whether you have to change another part for it to be compatible Im not sure.
-
Im 90 percent sure but best ask your dealer .to be 100 percent - etka has a few superseded part numbers for fork for corrado but may not have updated the c number on etka. Says fits here in USA. Might look slightly different https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/02J141719C.htm?pn=02J-141-719-C-VAG&SVSVSI=VWA2&DID=15009
