  1. It wouldnt be to bad if you could get one off a good owner that had carried all these works out recently- I love them in dark blue with a matching blue hood- very classy with some serious poke.
  2. E46 M3 have always been tempted but I have heard some nightmare ownership reviews - the vanos and rear mount subframes crack are very common. Think Shaun owned one for a couple oy years and it nearly bankrupted him.
  3. Thats the thing although its a pokey 3.0 16V 4 cylinder It would be ace with a 6 cylinder - Jeremy clarkson did a review way back. Love the front nose on it - just like the 993. Ive given up with 996 the engines are just chocolate kettles - I'm not going to bore you with it but have several mad 996 stories about owning and researching ones when looking to buy one- some of the things I found out ringing up the garage from old reciepts checking up was just crazy - Turbo and gt3 fine but anything 996 1998 to 997 2009 I would avoid . Gen 2 997 fine but youll pay for that as folks also know that is safe from that one. Dox have a 16K budget after selling the MK7 golf - if a bargain comes up Im tempted or might replace one of my old transit LWB pick ups for the smog charge coming into Brum, although the wagon is old it is a good runner just needs a bit of welding on the chassis. Its a Mk6 truck and I also have a MK7 and the Mk6 has a lot less issues. The newer they get the more seems to go wrong for some reason - turbo - sensors - - egr- engine eating its own crap - electric windows grrrr. I won 5 venhicles at the moment includes trucks so down sizing would be the sensible thing to do I guess. So what would you guys get for 16K ?
  4. Anyone ever owned one these in maual - looks great in red with black leather. Or opinions of them ? Cheers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-Porsche-968-3-0-Sport-2dr/274313417976?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D268b8ff27cf8441b9c5a45ae2e847aba%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D313093419475%26itm%3D274313417976%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A35cf7817-a751-11ea-a682-74dbd180c657|parentrq%3A8581e6c71720aa158514fef6fff14aa2|iid%3A1
  5. Yep this Vag classic hobby is a filthy addiction ha.
  6. Its a list the wallet dont like ha!
  7. Yep that is a rare one would of been popular on Mercedes like the 190E . I will be driving the Corrado in the summer and the MK2 golf in the winter - I have to be honest the MK7 golf had 19 alloys and a hard suspension the MK2 is actually drives better for a daily although no where near the performance of course. Good luck with the gear box change will be much better for a sports car a manual.
  8. Looks a great site mate - the finish touches and all that.
  9. Yes mate I would say that is a good route to go on the gearbox - its a more direct shift however for me I wanted a shorter shift and Vince told me the throw is not much difference on a 02J just more direct and less sloppy. I also purchased x6 billet bushes that house the cable holder in the bay which is meant to help things sharpen up. This is the 35 % reduction kit I went for as its a new complete shifter and on the rebuild kit some of the parts are obsolete sop not really a full rebuild. They take few weekx to arrive because each one is handmade at Gema Motorsport in Germany. I will give some feedback once fitted. Also got all new OE links and weights for in the engine bay. Just waiting for the shifter to turn up and two gaskets to complete the kit. https://www.maxrpm.de/Short-shifter-for-Corrado-Build-all-likewise-G60-about-35 Also update on my Mk7 Golf deposit down and been collected this Sunday from a chap in Glasgow and lucky 21 year old son will be happy Will sit back for the next few months and see if a bargain comes up on another car or might even buy euro 6 truck to replace one of the older ones with the city smog tax coming in at home city.
  10. Came across four pages full of 80s/90s windscreen dealer stickers, couldn't see mine but loads of them on there all over the UK https://www.dmb.uk.com/search/vw#page1
  11. You know they look good when everyone wants them ha 😀
  12. P.s Im sure I have seen another area of the car with this sort of pad but can't remember where.
  13. All good thanks chap on 1k on the clock now so nearly half way in till I can take it just below the red line - Ive been getting some parts together to sort out the sloppy shift- mainly a German 35 reduction shifter. Hey do you see these fog blanks on canadian cars, apparently only for that market You can get them sparyed too match the body look pretty cool - can still get them from classics but I think they only fit pre face lift.
  14. Mate they look the business save me a set chap as Im sure we will have a Midlands meet one day thanks. I have used the VW OE grey foam mate and I do not reccomend it one bit- mine have got cracks all ready on both the golf and rado had to tape them - my advise is to get some good quality builders membrane sheeting that will be better quality then any of other crap out there.

    Stainless hack!

Once you have cleaned stainless steel johnsons baby oil brings it up even better I use it to clean my stainless steel oven hob- not sure on an exhaust though.
  17. Sure sounds a bit like the wing mirror switches just need a good clean . I think a lot of them get wrecked by people smashing them getting into the car.
  18. Oh my is sounds like I might have woken a beat ha !
  19. Clumpy Il will have this if still for sale 07875392621. Thanks
  20. Spoiler switch works is same part number but without the B on the end.
  21. I would love a set of the banded ones if they came in a 5 stud , I suppose its a possibility for my Mk2 golf but I love the stock BBS RA.
  22. Her partner is a postman so knew I owned a Corrado and I was washing the car and they just pulled outside my driveway - the back bench without a armrest is just goof for a larger dog really . Agreed looks smart with the senbring but no 5 stud options ?
  23. Bumped into a rare Khaki 9a today owned by stella member on here. No rear armrest- much better for my Airedale that would be !
  24. 100 percent some nice goodies- there is a black schrick vgi for sale on corrado chat FB - seller asking 1600 euro and it complete apparently.
