  1. Guys for this to work we need to keep it simple as we dont have the moderators and Toby is laisse a faire . I suggest people pay by paypal and business for protection. If they have a problem we all ready have a bad/good seller thread to report to other members- can also ask Toby to remove. Remember many old issues of payment were before paypal existed and folks were making bank transfers and posting cheques. To add Corrado parts are a sellers world not a buyers so lets make it easy to have access to these rare gems that occasionally come to the table. If it deemed a commercial seller then yes they should contribute- Toby can contact them if he feels they are a business and not a private seller- we don't need to get involved in that.
  2. What I suggest is a minimal approach system - Im not expert in IT but would this work Any none member(author) can post on car or parts for sale (but only the author and members of the forum can post on thread ) If a none member posts on the sale thread (will be the author of course) that is not related to the sale thread topic then a polite Im afraid this is for only a sale thread you can post elsewhere but will require membership Thank You - Cant see why any existing member can't post that no need for moderation.
  3. Well there are 60 members on here , lets have a vote. Then Toby can see the outcome and make a decision. Yes from me.
  4. The difference would be Dox if they post on here it will be up for grabs for the 60 members on here and not the whole of FB and ebay - also the prices tend to be better on here because well I know I have in the past priced parts on a membership friendly basis. Its not really advisable to post your email or any personal details on a thread someone told me once. The wanted thread when I have ever posted has never yielded me anything to be honest, and the brand new obsolete part will be more then lightly sitting in a none members loft who sold their car 5 years back and will be unable to answer. .
  5. Maybe a fee for a car but I think we are going to see hardly any obsolete or rare parts come up for sale With the present set up. Also sellers like sprinter have stopped posting . A lot of these rare parts are sitting in old members garages and when they move house or sell their car they use to be able to post them on here, they can’t do that anymore without paying a fee and signing up ,so will put on eBay or Facebook I Imagine . There not going to sign up to membership if they are leaving the corrado community.
  6. Toby please can I put a suggestion forward. Can you allow none members to post parts and cars for sale because I believe members are going to miss out on obsolete parts because unsubscribed members will advertise elsewhere . If you could possibly program it so the author of the post can reply and only paying members. If a none member wants to purchase the item then they can purchase a subscription. Any thoughts would be grateful. Cheers.
  7. I've purchased mine as a spare mate , they look correct no other choice apart from the phenix ones so I would grab a spare set whilst they are to be had chap.
  8. Purchased some of these - was not familar with esty but easy transaction and no need to join the site- straight payment made by paypal - UK seller £20.00 including delivery for pair. https://www.etsy.com/uk/BuckandDoeDecor/listing/798417086/vw-corrado-vr6-g60-16v-8v-3d-printed?utm_source=Copy&utm_medium=ListingManager&utm_campaign=Share&utm_term=so.lmsm&share_time=1589998755558&fbclid=IwAR3kRpTzUqZXz2Gd89aDwgPEpud_DvfIE6_gSRTm6Hc1pZ-7XMKHYz4mBik
  9. Good news looks like we are in it for the long run.
  10. Sound mate - have you still got the original one and you send it into them for replication. The two fuel return and feed are obsolete above the aux belt - in fact most of the lines are obsolete. The reassuring thing about using these guys is they pressure test every fuel line they manufacture.
  11. Probably the rarest engine code corrado model but at the same time the least desired, never owned one but Im sure a few on here have and can advise.
  12. Hi chap hope your undercarriage refurb is going well. Made a video earlier this year of the fuel lines - can see them a bit better off here chap- the stainless steel banjo bolts and washers come with them https://www.facebook.com/john.luke.589583/videos/1440974712753290/
  13. Thanks Geri and for the parts you sent me to help renovate the Corrado. and your kind words.
  14. Thank You ABV, Hopefully me mate ha. Corrado is running like a dream so the MK7 golf will go, Rado needs dailying this summer its to rude not to use her she needs to breath after the engine rebuild.
  15. Reached a bit of a milestone today with my MK 16V back now, completed the renovation of my classic vags - im sure something will fail soon though ha ! Really would like to thank Vince from Stealth for helping me achieve this and help off forum members. The white mk7 will be going soon so thought I would snap them all together, I want to daily the corrado this summer and use the golf the MK2 golf in winter. Although the MK7 is a great car I have no real attachment to it so not really sad to see it go to be honest , the other two are staying long put and when everything is electric or hydrogen I can hopefully still have these to play with.
  16. Called up Johnsons my local VW dealer for some parts got put on hold , then no answer then tried again to know success - that's it never using them sloppy sloths again. Now I just send Tania an email at Listers VW Stratford Upon Avon with part numbers - she then emails an invoice which you can pay electronically - parts get sent in post - job is a good one.
  17. Tried and tested on mine is 100 percent the same as a Corrado. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-UR-QUATTRO-TURBO-COUPE-80-90-COUPE-B2-BONNET-CABLE-END-CLAMP-811823555/303539838945?hash=item46ac625fe1:g:CU4AAOSwLfZee8Ew
  18. Looks some good parts on the car Fen. Interior worth 1K .
  19. Is this anyone's old corrado VR6 in a secret junkyard hidden deep in the English countryside N98 DRF full leather interior in good condition and quite complete. Last MOT recorded 2008,
  20. I had this yesterday but it was the passenger side that was stuck and it was indeed slack in the cable on the trumpet. Got the bonnett handle pulled up and bounced on the pin that was stuck and it realised. You can get a new trumpet off ebay if required Let me know and I can drop you the link. If its the other trumpet that has failed with out the screw let me know I can help.
  21. Sure is but the campaign is good compensation- red is definitely up there in my top 3 , also moonlight blue and saturn silver thereabouts. MK2 golf and a Corrado is a nice duo ( i would say that ) ha !
  22. Sure Dox I knew that , like Shaun has mentioned I suppose it comes down to the maintenance of x 2 Corrado .
  23. VW Rule I was at Stealth and they painted a subframe with POR 15 had a lovely finish and one little can did two coats of one subframe - apparently it is great stuff and has great resistance against stone chips and rust, much better than powder coating. POR-15 Rust Preventative can be sprayed or brushed on to provide a rock hard, yet flexible, non-porous coating that will not shrink, peel, or crack. It is totally resistant to road salt, petrol, battery acid, etc., and actually dries harder in humid damp conditions. Ideal for suspension and chassis protection. Cant say the same as above for powder coating. https://www.frost.co.uk/por15-113ml-rust-prev/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-oCBjsW66QIVCLrtCh2x3gU6EAYYASABEgLU5PD_BwE
  24. For me and I know this might be a bit uneducated because I have never owned an 8V but I have always avoided these engine blocks because of lack luster reviews , always gone with a 1.8T- 16V or 6 cylinder in the classic vag range. I would probably take a few of the rare parts off it and sell it to someone like Reeves , Amos, etc and get them to collect it on a trailer . Then put the money towards a new Rado and enjoy looking for one knowing you know what to look out for, in a couple of months will be a buyers market for sure. Maybe buy a G60 as I have hunch one day they will demand even more money than a VR6.
