That would be my issue with them as well, also would want them silver and would be harsh to get a new set of alloys powder coated. Maybe its worth considering another group buy of 16 speedlines when all this turmoil passes.

Sorry mate wish I could help but I have never really got my head round electrics- think there is an instruction manual supplied.

Give this a bash ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/132173855037?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=132173855037&targetid=876487124366&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9045502&poi=&campaignid=9441124701&mkgroupid=91043569850&rlsatarget=pla-876487124366&abcId=1140496&merchantid=113808551&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-ZvNoK_F6AIVx7HtCh0_zQYyEAQYAiABEgJsVfD_BwE

Nice try but no chance I luv them and they are rarer then a VSR manifold 😍 They truely are a unique alloy. Here are some Speedline Corse 2110 challenge, they come in a 17 5x100 - as you can see these are a larger corrado alloy but in white. https://www.demon-tweeks.com/speedline-corse-2110-challenge-alloy-wheels-in-white-set-of-4-2000798/?sku=S/LSL1430/X03/W1-KIT&istCompanyId=a2904180-3a7d-4e56-b876-cf81c9512180&istFeedId=0f6db192-3a9a-4369-b1f8-79615c622f96&istItemId=itlrrtiax&istBid=t&awaid=6538&utm_source=redbrain&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=css&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInLaO56nF6AIVF5zVCh3mUAZcEAQYCCABEgJ22_D_BwE&source=aw&awc=6538_1585678801_4d9960af4136edc8ddf4868f932d48da

Comparing stock speedline 15 to the VW Motorsport Vento cups. The vento is a completely different alloy. The stock speedline the spokes go outwards from the rim to join the centre bore and have a central inner concave dome whereas the Vento the spokes are inverted from the rim to the centre of the alloy- completely different design these should not be described as speedline 16 . Vento does not have an inner rim like the 15 speedline either. Picture to illustrate differences.

Thanks Sean.

Hi Chap, Please could I ask what size tyres you have got on your Vento Cups. It does say on a tyre fitting chart that 205 is the minimum tyre width you can put on a 7.5J . I was thinking 205 16 45 ? What would other members tyre dimensions for these alloys ? Vento cups 16 7.5J Cheers.

Another great channel . been watching it for a couple years. Think he is the owner of the EVO magazine.

They do look tidy and USE Vag parts, the seller is in Germany and when I have watched his items before they send you a discounted offer for the part on ebay. I have also seen Corrado recaro seat looms new that they handmade but not showing on there at the moment but I'm sure they will make them up if asked.

Murrays Direct Hella oil cooler. Send the Topran back to heritage mate don't want you to have the stress of seeing oil in your coolant tank then flushing your system out several times. Hella Oil cooler https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HELLA-OEM-Quality-Oil-Cooler-Seal-for-VW-Mk2-Mk3-GTI-16V-T25-T4-068117021B/124126233739?hash=item1ce680048b:g:eXoAAOSwu1dedxlB

These would be my top pick for rubber strut mounts, Lemforder . Murrays direct sell the rear and front lemforder. Great seller. Ok thanks mate they sound nice !

I wish a dealer would order the classic parts in from Germany as would only take a few days and more professional I. know from owning an old Mercedes that Poole is there classic dealer and were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Hi Sean, Did he get them off a group buy chap > From what I can see from old threads is the Vento ones are 7.5 J and group buys are 7J - so I think it is the 7,5 J which is the identification. Also the Vento ones seem to have not much of a centre internal dome.
-
Can anyone share any knowledge about the speedline that were purchased on a group buy that were 16s or 17s. Anyone got pictures of them with the stamps/dimensions they can share on this thread ? Thank You

Chuffties,

Yes where did you get the alloys ? The centre bore is 57.5 on a speedline vento cup so I would say yours are 100 percent correct with the stretching of the spring comment. These are the correct caps and Im going to get some made when things hopefully settle down. You after a set chap of the correct caps ? I imagine the MK3 lads would pay a bundle for these alloys if shown on the prototype ha!
-
They look the real deal to me, do the normal speedline caps fit them mate ? Where did you get them from ? I will getting some motor sport caps made at some point . Thanks

The best thing to do chap is put the part number on ebay or google and see what manufactures come up . I hate Topran because I had an oil cooler fail after 500 miles use and had to flush out the whole system- the internal cooler wept oil into the hoses- cured with a Hella cooler from Murrays direct on ebay . Also I see Heritage sell a JP fuel pump for a VR for £300 and something which is the incorrect bar and also more than a stock VDO pump- I don't take anything for granted they offer or say and have a few run ins and told the sales person wrong you can get it- thats is incorrect your not reading the diagram correctly etc - embarrassing to be honest. P,s the owner of VW International if you have an issue can take it personally they are only a small business.
-
Fairplay that's useful, at least you are in the know and are well equipped to do the job.
-
Would be a nice little project- read through the seller's description though guys as mentions something about a special electrical tool to to fit it.
-
P,s the car now uses 17 alloys so they are not the speelines on the video.
