  1. Yeah they are good lads and down to earth. not like these spoilt kids like Smee with rich parents and them sort of car youtube channels.
  2. Campaign on this Video review- Car Guys channel I follow them on youtube. Up for auction tomorrow .
  3. The stock Mani looks 100 percent better matt black IMO - very nice.
  4. That looks nice as well !
  5. Good point ha, maybe the centre bore as wear through race driving ?
  6. Yes mate 100 percent if I get them will be going stock silver.
  7. Ok I found the centre cap on a video it is a VW Motorsport cap . on the Mk3 A59 prototype http://vordermanvw.blogspot.com/2018/08/watch-sms-takes-legendary-mk3-golf-a59.html
  8. Ive asked the seller to measure and my speedlines are in the garage so can compare.
  9. At a guess Dox would you say the stock centre caps would fit the Vento cups as the same bore ?
  10. Yep the ones Im looking at are vento cups for sure. Dox are you sure the centre caps are different there are no picture of the caps on that link.
  11. Wow the vento centre caps are different ? Anyone got a photo to show. Im surprised they different as the same bore size ?
  12. Hi Dox, I imagine the stock corrado centre caps fit though if the bore is 57.1 ? Could just use the ones from my stock speedlines ? Thanks
  13. They are a set of 4. I will add evidence shortly to prove they are most likely the real deal. Just got to do the deal first folks.
  14. Thanks for the fast response Sean they are 57.5 he measured with one of those precise engineering twiser looking things, I imagine that would fall under the size of 57.1 and just paint making up the size to 57.5 ?
  15. I kinda like the way you have yours, sometimes less is more.
  16. Need some wheel pervets help here if I may. Have been told these have been refurbed white. Are these Vento competition 16 Speedlines ? Quick response would be appreciated. Im concerned they are Subaru ones or speedline 2110 Cheers,
  17. He was just adamment has to be the Bosch one and not the NGK version of the above part number. Im seeing him on Monday so will ask what the advantages are and why not the NGK ones. I suppose he has the dyno so sees all the figures and engine performance pattern . Please note this is specific to the spark plug part number above not that of the standard NGK spark plug for a RADO VR6.
  18. https://www.gsparkplug.com/1x-bosch-super-plus-spark-plug-fr7kpp33-50.html?___SID=U
  19. Yep they are the correct part number he fitted some to mine last year and I also had the injectors refurbished. Correct they must be the Bosch ones and he told me specifically not to use the NGK spark Plugs with the same part number.
  20. Think I will go with that Cressa looks tidy and stock. Mine is DIY polished at the moment and I have had no heat issues but I will go with what Vince says, also polished is a pain to keep clean and less protection.
  21. Interesting spoke to Vice last week about getting my Schrick polished and he advised against it, he said something about the heat- so just getting painted silver at the body shop on his estate. Was thinking stock silver unless anyone else has got any ideas. Photos of other folks Schrock would be good for ideas..
  22. I've told the lads who work for me that I will not lay them off and worse case scenario I will guarantee them a 3 day pay minimum best contingency plan I could come up with because ultimately when things get back to normal there still has to be business there for folks to earn, however I have told them to be frugal with their money. Not sure if my clients are going to hoard payments, but orders will go down significantly, I think the hospitality and travel industry will be worst hit and the supply chains . I'm just glad I have a dog to walk and a large 7 square mile ancient woodland right next to me, It really does a world of good to the worrying mind, exercise in a scenic setting with a mad ass Airedale. The biggest thing is to not put people at risk that fall in the high risk category everything else will panout eventually.
  23. Amazing how cheap you can pick things up sometimes, at that price its worth buying a few sets. In these present troubling times I imagine there will be a few bargains surfacing, however its probably wiser to hold on to money. I imagine many have a few items they never use but had appreciating value and worth selling on a rainy day, well the rain is here big time.
  24. Just make sure when they re bore that they measure each individual piston and bore per one.
  25. All down to budget then really- an experienced garage would charge you up to 4k for bottom and top end rebuild or a DIY maybe for around 2-2.5k. I know true 6 2.9 pistons pistons would cost £850.00 alone as I have just purchased some. Also the cylinders do not take kindly to relining in a VR block so you would have to go up to a true 2.9 cc(cylinders bored out and pistons to match. As Sean says might be your best option with a 2.8 block but you would have to live with the power drop but not much is it 0.1 to be fair.
